Recently stayed here for two nights after finishing up a cruise. The staff was so nice and accommodating! We had to stay in the hotel lobby for 5+ hours since our flight didn't take off until 1am. They didn't give us a hard time at all. They helped us with a shuttle. Alicia even offered my bf a blanket while we waited! The food at the bar was yummy and cheap! Front desk staff was super welcoming upon arrival. Celebrated my parents anniversary here and Marlene & Team made it a very memorable stay. They have a very nice spread of breakfast foods including fruits, hot foods, and packaged breakfast sandwiches & breakfast burritos you can toss in the microwave. Dining area is spacious. The business area and all throughout the hotel were kept clean. There is plenty of free onsite parking. It's just a little confusing how to navigate to the hotel from the main road. The gym was pretty typical for a Hyatt House with 8 cardio machines and some free weights and a bench, no weight machines. read more

The Hyatt House is just outside of downtown but the location worked well. Even if you are downtown you probably would be driving anyway. Aside of the institutional eggs, the breakfast was ok and the coffee decent. If they would only make the bacon more crispy... The rooms were relatively small but you had a "living room" area with a kitchen and a separate bedroom. The only negative was the internet was very weak - which I notice throughout the city. I stayed here for two nights at the end of my week long Alaska trip before flying home from Anchorage. The room was clean and well stocked although we had to ask for a couple extra shower towels. The front desk staff did not seem super thrilled about their job. When we checked in the lady started by saying that there is an extra fee to check in early since they have been super busy and most rooms aren't ready. We had already checked in on the app and knew our room was ready so she ended up apologizing for assuming and not asking first for our info. My one complaint which was super annoying is that they had zero water for sale. Not one bottle during our stay. They had gatorade, iced tea and some other items but none that my husband or I really enjoy. I had to take medicine one night and my husband wasn't feeling great. I was informed they have no water so I went to the little coffee shack across the street at 1130 PM to purchase water bottles. I get they ran out but we are also in Anchorage, not the middle of nowhere where the company couldn't have facilitated getting more water. As Hyatt members, we were also supposed to get complimentary waters which were not available. The location is pretty good. Nowhere we went was more than 10 to 15 minutes away. There are some places in walking distance although we drove everywhere. We were on the backside of the hotel and did not experience much noise like othere reported. The breakfast was solid and a bot better than the other Hyatt we stayed at earlier in the week. I would recommend this hotel. read more

Have visited Anchorage numerous times, this was the first time I stayed here. I had a 1br king with a kitchen and separate living area. Very cozy. Kitchen has fridge/freezer, 2 burner stove, snd microwave with all dishes and utensils. Nice big island in kitchen which has electrical and usb outlets for working. Sectional couch in living room. Large walk in shower, no tub. Very good hot breakfast included each morning. Nice little bar in libby open in the evenings serving cocktails and bar food. Had a burger that was excellent. Free airport shuttle. Would not hesitate to stay here again. read more

I am not a complainer, but this made me to write something. We checked in there in August, frontdesk girl was nice. In the room one soap and one lotion, asked for and got more. Kitchen staff was nice. Housekeeping services below average. Most importantly, I lost my most expensive new piece of clothing from the room. I noticed after we checked out and checked in other Hyatt place in Fairbanks. I called them the same day spoke to front desk, she transferred me to manager and asked that what they are doing about it, since I lost the item in the room, he said that they are not doing anything about it, when I questioned to check with housekeeping ,he said I was accusing his housekeepers he was very rude and offensive to me. Not that place again.But with other Hyatt places, I have no problem. Except with 5141 business park Blvd Anchorage. read more

I am a frequenter of Hyatt in all its forms, enjoy using the credit card, and the customer service lines, but I do think this one was the exception to the rule. The staff were nice enough, but their communication was underwhelming. For example, it took a while to check in, our TV didn't work at all for the 6 day/5 night stay (and we mentioned something daily, but didn't hear anything back til almost check-out, blaming DirecTV), the breakfast was the same every morning (fake eggs + sausage or bacon + pancakes or waffles as well as fruit and cereal). All in all, it definitely gets the job done and is clean, family friendly and hits the basic marks. However, when compared to other locations and experiences, I would just adjust my expectations a bit. read more

We only stayed here no more than 6 hours, but it was much needed! I've been a loyal Hyatt member and Hyatt House Anchorage was the perfect place for us to crash for a few hours after our very red-eye flight from LA. We check in at 3am, the seagulls were super loud but then I just fell asleep right away after a warm shower. In the morning, they had coffee with grab and go breakfast items: cereal, milk, yogurt, bagels with a toaster, and oatmeal to start our day. It's not much but it's exactly what we need to start our driving journey through Alaska. Parking is just right outside and they do not charge resort fee. read more

I really enjoyed my stay at Hyatt House. Very clean facilities. Friendly and professional staff. The bed is extremely comfortable... at one point I contemplated staying in bed instead of exploring. The television offers HBO movie channels as well as connecting to your own Netflix or Amazon. There is a free shuttle service to and from the airport. The hotel is sandwiched in between the airport and downtown in close proximity to various super stores. It's a great place to stay if you're flying in or out of anchorage and looking for a comfortable place to sleep for the night. Pro-tips: there is a "quiet side"- which faces opposite direction of heavily-trafficked street. The view from the quiet side is nice. The louder side offers better views in exchange for quiet. They have a guest laundry- $2 to wash and your$2 to dry. There is a Walmart a mile away from the hotel so you can pick up detergent there. Covid concessions: no hot breakfast and no pool. They do offer coffee and tea at all times of day. The breakfast was standard continental fare. I opted for Cheerios. read more

Travel a lot for work and stick with Hilton for the most part. Had several staff traveling with me to Anchorage and they had booked rooms at the fairly new Hyatt House. Arrived and it's a clean lobby with a bar and supposed restaurant where the seating is predominately doubles as the breakfast area and lounge/lobby. Get back to this later. Went to my room and it was quite impressive. The beds are extremely comfortable, pillows to match. Sliding barn door for the bathroom that has an ample shower. 2 dressers which is a huge plus when you're traveling for several days. Especially as I could see families staying in a single room so there is plenty of storage space. Kitchen was an interesting concept with an island counter that you can sit around. Extremely convenient and a plus in my book. Pool is indoor with a mobility assist chair, water wasn't cold and I could see this being a highlight for others. Gym is a decent size with 3 treadmills, 2 elliptical and minor free weights. Plenty for traveling with all of the equipment operating. Back to the lobby area; every morning they have a decent breakfast with made to order omelettes and egg white options. Nothing fancy but it's a simple perk to offer that goes a long way. In the afternoon/evening we hung out one afternoon downstairs and thoroughly enjoyed snacking. The bar was decent and the food was not bad. Had a cup of the chicken tortilla soup and it was tasty with a mild kick. All in all, I would highly recommend this location. When I come back I'll stay here again. read more

My room was always tended to properly and never haphazardly cleaned. Breakfast was fantastic and included. I would like to make a complaint about two Hyatt properties in Anchorage Alaska. The first is on Business Parkway and International Hyatt House. We got to our stay on time for one weekend we were checking in on November 4 - 6. We booked 2 suites for 2 nights. We were told that one of our rooms was not ready yet as the previous person had just checked out after 3:00p. We were not able to check in until after 5:30p that evening. We had another room that we could wait in until our other room was available, so we did not have an issue and understood that things happen. So we decided to book again 2 weeks later at Hyatt Place on Tudor because the Hyatt house was full. Dates 11/25 - 11/27 for 2 suite rooms. We show up on time again for this check-in. We asked the gentleman if we could have rooms closer to each other or conjoined. He moved us from whatever room we were in, to another room closer to the other room. After we had checked out and left the hotel that day, we were charged $194.88 3 separate times on 11/27 and when we called the hotel, we were told that the charges would fall off and they didn't know what they were because they did not see it in their system. They told us to call them back on 11/30 if they hadn't fallen off our bank statement. We called back on 11/30 and they told us they cannot see any charges on their end and that we need to call our bank to stop those charges. We asked to speak to the GM and were transferred to a voicemail. We left several voicemails for a callback or some type of explanation of these charges. No one called us back or ever answered. We called 2 more times that following week. We called the bank to tell them that these charges were fraudulent and not authorized and when they called the hotel, the hotel told our bank that the charges were for no-shows for 3 rooms. We have never not shown up when we booked. We also always show up on time even when rooms are not ready, and we never make it an issue for being pushed to the side like we don't matter that much. When we called the hotel after getting off the phone with our bank, we asked to speak to someone about these charges and were placed on hold. The gentleman said that their GM was there and we could talk to her. After being on hold for 5-10 mins, he got back on and stuttered while telling me that she was busy and could not come to the phone and he took my number for her to call me back before she left for the day. She did not ever call us back. AWFUL SERVICE! We booked 3 rooms again this month 12/28 - 12/30 before finding out what the bank was able to verify. We are World of Hyatt members and planned on booking 3 suites for 2-3 nights, every month for our group. We will have to book elsewhere after this stay because of the lack of concern and urgency that was taken over our stay, which is unacceptable. My sister Rosaline Mavaega is the newly appointed Equal Rights Commissioner for the Municipality of Anchorage Alaska and will be hearing about this business and the way they practice customer service. I am going to put in a Yelp review of this, a review on booking.com, and on Expedia of this event to warn potential guests of the bullshit of a service these places are offering. Not even the decency to return or answer a call to make things right. We would consider if these issues were addressed or fixed. Until then, we plan on staying at another Hotel every month. We booked two nights for Hyatt House Anchorage (indicated late check-in) and was already charged for the amount. We arrived at exactly 3 am since our flight was delayed. When we arrived the front-desk told us our reservation is cancelled as no-show, and the hotel was fully booked so there was no more room for the day. This was so ridiculous since we didn't get any notice. And we have two little kids in the car, the younger one is only 2 years old. They send us a motel nearby and asked us to stay there for one day. That's also very inconvenient for us since we have a lot of stuff to load and unload, and that's why we booked two nights at first place. In the end, my two little could only spent the whole night in the car. I am just soooooo disappointed at this issue, and by the way I was at Explorist Tier which includes a benefit called "Guaranteed Availability". We only got 6 days for the entire trip and this issue basically cost us one day and I don't see any sincerity. Please at least treat your members with some respect!!!! read more

Nice hotel aesthetically but dear god the rooms are loud at night. We asked for a "quiet area" and were given a room that was graced with planes loudly taking off, random loud Harley's, seagulls that were so loud, and what seemed to be a drag race at 2am. The loudness of the rooms is a big issue. I ended up using earplugs and I still had the damn planes and motorcycles waking me up. It's an issue that I am not sure how the hotel will address it. This was my first trip to Anchorage and first Hyatt House stay. The hotel just opened last week and is "brand spanking new." The staff was exceptional and over the top excellent customer service in every aspect. The staff dealt extremely well with having a brand new hotel and all the details of a new operation All the employees were welcoming, helpful, and knowledgeable of the hotel and Anchorage. The hotel has a nice complementary breakfast with the standard continental goods, but also an omelet bar and fresh fruit. The room suite and building itself are designed nicely with an ample kitchen area with full cooking and food storage needs. The living room had a comfortable couch and the two queen beds in the bedroom with a door to close to the living room. The only downside was the slow internet. It was only about a 2mb upload and download, so it slowed down the speed I could get work done on my laptop with internet and cloud based apps. The staff said their tech person was working on improving it. That being said, it is probably because they are in Anchorage and my not have a fast internet connection as the foundation of their Wifi. The internet was enough to be able to upload and download my data even though it functioned slowly. The rooms themselves are a great suite for business travelers and or if you traveled with a family. I'm not a big TV person, but they had one that swiveled between kitchen and living room and one in the bedroom. Great choice of hotel in Anchorage and the support quality of the employees made it that much better. read more

The staff is wonderful, the on-site fitness center is very impressive, WiFi throughout the building, free printing, and extremely nice rooms. Free airport/local shuttle is a plus. If you are traveling to Alaska(although I'm sure tourism is going to be down after the earthquake) the only place worth staying is the Hyatt House! My wife & I stayed there visiting for Thanksgiving. Connie & Nada were the front desk folks and two of the kindest, warmest most accommodating front desk people I have ever encountered (I have traveled the world and usually in hotels once a month). We arrived early and went to check in, because it was early the room wasn't ready, those two got the housekeeping staff to do our room...presto done! Now, that's what I call service! The week we were there any thing we needed they went above and beyond the call of their job to help us! Those two need a huge raise because they are exactly the type of people you want representing your business!!!! read more

This hotel accommodates just about everything you could think of. The rooms are nice, very roomy, and well maintained. Beds are super comfortable and the shower is very spacious! The hotel was very clean and the location is close to most attractions. The variety of breakfast items were very good as well. The only thing that kept me from giving them 5 stars is the staff and shuttle. We were supposed to be picked up from the airport within 10 mins of calling. Instead, we waited with other guests, in the cold, for over 45 mins. The hotel did apologize and they paid for our taxi. Some of the staff were very friendly and others were not. I forgot to write a review about the Hyatt House a few months ago because life got ahead of me but I was thinking about how much I appreciated my stay there. I arrived very early in the morning straight from the airport and was checked in almost perfectly. At first he said he had given my room away because I hadn't arrived by midnight but I had let the concierge I made the initial reservation with that I wouldn't be arriving until 5 am and she assured me I would have a room...so I got anxious when he told me that because I had nowhere else to go at 5 in the morning in Anchorage during the winter (I also had a puppy with me too, no car, and kinda broke). He then easily got me another suite and didn't charge me for that night. He was very helpful and friendly so I can't complain. Then the next morning the 7.0 earthquake hit and it was stressful but the hotel seemed to have everything under control afterwards and the building withheld the shaking very well... though I was really scared lol. I always love Hyatt hotels and look forward to my next stay! read more

This is the most difficult review I have ever written. The hotel is brand spanking new. Everything works perfectly. The AC comes on quietly, goes off without waking you up. The staff is attentive,friendly and courteous. The food and drinks at the lobby bar are good. The breakfast included is great and comes with a made to order omlette station. So with all that, why the 3 stars. One word - NOISE. The hotel is next to the busy C Street which has trucks and motorcycles going through all night. On the other side is a mini swamp which I Can only imagine is a protected sanctuary for birds for some reason in the middle of a business Park. In the middle of summer, with it being light all the time, the birds seem awake all night and keep the noise going. And the loudest noise of all - the planes. The hotel is perfectly aligned with the runways of the Anchorage airport. Large UPS, FedEx and other cargo planes takeoff every 20-30 minutes through the night and are at their loudest just above the hotel. If you are a sound sleeper, this is the perfect hotel for you. However, for those of us who have trouble falling back asleep after being roused by a loud booming rumbling noise, the place is a nightmare. Sigh! read more

Breakfast staff was really nice and helpful. Front desk staff were not friendly but they did send us maintenance right away to check out the fan noise. In any case, if you really have to stay here force them to give you a room that doesn't face C street. read more
