Hubby had a conference next door and his room was booked here for a few days. Structured parking is super convenient and attached between the Hyatt and Convention Center. Since he checked in a day before my arrival- It was an easy check in process for me without his presence. I was really impressed with the layout of the lobby and how spacious it really is. I have never seen a humongous lobby! There's a cozy room tucked between the main and side entrances. I didn't walk in to enjoy all the cozy sofas- but, it's great to have a space available that's not so spread out in the open. The reception area is directly across the main entrance. It's great that there's a Market Cafe that has good hours of operation. You can order hot foods like, pizza, hot wings, salads- to name a few. And attached is also a market, with refrigerated sandwiches, egg salads, fruit salads. And an assortment of drinks you can purchase- alcoholic and non alcoholic. Around the corner from that is the bar area. And since this Hyatt location also has conference rooms- the bartenders are buzzing about getting drinks served up for patrons. Our room was on the 11th floor and overlooked the Rainbow Lagoon & Long Beach Shoreline Marina. I knew the had the Swan paddle boats rentals- but, had no idea they lit up at night! Really a cool sight! Too bad weather was finicky during our stay here, and hubby had to attend conference. Our first night, was National Popcorn Day. Complimentary fresh popped corn was available all night long next to the bar area. And in between the saltiness of the delicious popcorn and the stiff double margaritas- it was a perfect balance! I typically bring bath bombs to indulge in a good soak- but, only shower stalls are available. I asked hubby if microwaves are in the room- he said no. So, I meal prepped some leftovers from home- and brought my electrical LunchEaze. I figured a could save a few bucks. Many outlets throughout our king sized room. And the window ledge is wide enough- you gain extra shelves for whatever items you have, and it's less counter space you take up. The mattress and pillows are super comfy and the water pressure heats up real quick. I found out, the night before we left- MICROWAVES are available next to the ice machine, on each floor! LOL. The proximity to Pike's Outlets across the street and Shoreline Village offers many restaurants to choose from. I had my medi boot on, and thank goodness the weather held up for me to walk a short distance and enjoy some fresh air. You will also need your Parking card w/ the QR code to get towels at the pool area. read more

We had to tell them to shut it but felt staff should've covered this. It turned out to be ignorant tourists but if it were people intentionally doing it on purpose, what of our safety if we had to be the one to tell them. Some other notes. The parking QR coded card worked for 1 day and then stopped working but staff was extremely prompt when called upon. Parking spaces are quite small but manageable. read more

Prior to this trip it's been good but this time Nick (Asian as there were two Nicks we saw working) was super rude to us at the pool on the 4th. He kept contradicting us and didn't offer a solution. Not only was the room not ready by 4pm to check in, but since he was so rude we canceled dinner at the hotel and will be cancelling an upcoming trip. They need to do some retraining for Nick if he plans to stay in hospitality. read more

Two ppl were super nice via phone and Two were short with me but I equate that with being busy and that you were as you were fully booked! So understandable. Gentlemen our last night (Tuesday night) was incredibly helpful. He also recommended a GREAT pizza place, Big E! So good! Towel system annoying but again understandable. Kids were cold going back up to room since we couldn't take towels out of pool area. But they survived lol. Blower at 7:50am outside window wasn't fun but it may have been by accident because it stopped right after. Love love LOVE the pool is open til 11! Bravo whoever decided that. Thank you. Too many close early. We do appreciate the extra time. Very thoughtful! Water $4 in the room. It's water. Come on, give two a day for free. After that yeah go ahead andcharge $5 if you want. Super hard water. Super hair. Hair is a mess from it. Headboards are fabric. Gross. Who came up with that idea. Beds were so squeaky. Sheets were so starched they were loud. BUT, they were clean and that matters most. We still slept well. Short walk to convention center. I have a debilitating autoimmune disorder and was so grateful hotel had an elevator up to the walkway to the center. So convenient. The good, the so-so, and the comfort. I had a short stay at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach for the 19th annual A2MEND Summit at the neighboring convention center. The level of service I experienced made me feel like I was visiting a television ad for a few days. A gentleman named Godwill saw our party and luggage to our room, made sure the atmosphere and temperature were adjusted to our liking, set us up with ice, and gave us details and tips to navigate between the hotel and Convention Center. A charming mustached Black man with the brightest smile made checkout a painless breeze while the young brother handling our departing valet worked with measured precision to accommodate our needs without making us feel hurried - despite two conventions ending and another simultaneously beginning. The air was busy, but we were not made to feel rushed. I hope the Hyatt is rewarding everyone's seamless hard work , especially the BIPOC staff because each person, from front facing to behind the scenes housekeeping staff, elevated our experience. My husband and I were in Long Beach and we stayed at the Hyatt Regency on Shoreline Village. Let's start off by saying the views are spectacular of the harbor. I 100% recommend this hotel. What a great hotel. The location has great views of the water. We attended for Interstate Technology Regulatory Council meetings. Front desk was amply staffed and checkin was easy. The room was a nice size and had a lounge chair and sofa. Very clean and the shower had great water pressure. A nice firm bed. We had a view of the aquarium and the water. Better than other hotels where they gave the block rate rooms facing walls or other buildings. The meeting space was very nice. Plenty of room for our meeting. The Hyatt staff kept it clean and tidy. The break area was well stocked with coffee and tea. Room service was good, although I found it odd someone came by at 730 AM to service the room. They did a great job replenishing the coffee. The lobby is very nice. A lot of seating for couples or small groups. They have a nice bar with two large TVs playing sports, but drinks are too expensive. We had two cocktails the first night and with tip it was almost $50! They do have a market cafe, but prices are pretty high. For example, a sausage egg english muffin was almost $10, compared to $4 plus at Starbucks. It really tasted the same as Starbucks. The cafe is really busy because there are no fast food restaurants nearby and even Starbucks is a hike. I do have to say they are very good at getting orders out fast. I like the filtered water filling stations located in several locations. They also have ice water in the bar that doesn't cost extra. The hotel is right next to to a HUGE convention center. So, finding food other than the hotel is a hike. You need to go up Pine or take the bridge south to the marina. As an added bonus, we were there during an eclipse and press day for the Grand Prix. The Hyatt is inside the circuit and you can watch the cars zoom by or go out to the walkway bridge to the south to see the cars on the track. read more

I really enjoyed my experience here. The location is amazing--right on the water, within walking distance to the beach, Shoreline Village, the Pike, and the Aquarium. There's a peaceful little lagoon that wraps around the hotel with swan boats you can rent, which adds a really fun and unique vibe. The area around the hotel is lively but not overwhelming--great for walking, grabbing food, or just relaxing by the water. It definitely feels like you're in the heart of Long Beach. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the service was solid. Amenities like the pool, hot tub, and gym were a nice bonus. Only downside was the extra fees--parking and destination fees can add up. read more

The breakfast was literally powered eggs. I've gotten better breakfasts at motel 6. The area doesn't have much to offer during the day. Everything is closed. More of a nightlife area. Stayed at Hyatt Regency Long Beach for my birthday stay. Had high expectations. Huge shoutout to Cedric for being friendly at reception. Nothing really stood out in the stay. Rooms are heavily outdated, and feels a bit dirty. Self parking is a bit cheaper by a few dollars and they park in the same adjacent lot. I prefer to self park since I don't need to wait on somebody to get the car...but at peak times, it might be helpful to have valet so you don't actually need to find a spot. Nice food/lounge area on lobby floor. OK stay. Nothing really stood out. Not sure value is there for this Hyatt location. read more

I really wanted to like this hotel. I come here for 1 week a month for work where I was staying here. First of all, it is very expensive. I do think it is clean most of the time which was the main reason I came here. They give you 10 dollar food credit which they make you pay by all the resort fees. I just had the worst experience on my life where I walked out of the room without my key rushing to get breakfast and if that ever happened before, I would just get a new key from the lobby and I would show my id on my phone. This morning, the person at the front desk refused to give me a new key despite me showing my ID on my phone, sent me upstairs and said to wait for security and that security will open the door which didn't arrive for a very long so that I can show them my real ID. I never had this kind of experience and I was locked out of my room for a very long time. Mind you I paid over 4000 dollars for this hotel for almost 2 week stay and I keep walking in and out every day. I don't think I will ever stay in here again. No customer service. They lost me as a customer next time read more

Find a different hotel. The lobby looks nice but that does not carry over into the rooms. First impression, wet dog, the room had a very strong pet odor. Second impression, wasted space. I was shocked to see 2 full sized beds, not queen beds, full sized. Can 2 grown adults comfortably sleep in a full sized bed? No. There were 2 odd lounge chairs on the side of the room. Get rid of those and get standard hotel sized beds. Also there is no mini-fridge. There is a "chiller" but I did not want to keep any food in it because I didn't trust it to be kept at a safe temp. Bathroom lack towel bars. We had to hang towels on hangers to dry. I gave 2 stars because the staff was very nice and lobby restaurant had good coffee. read more

Terrible experience here honestly. The location is prime if you're interested in attend an event at the convention center, the Grand Prix, or other events in downtown Long Beach. We went to check in and had a company credit card. They refused to use it, even after we showed multiple IDs and driver licenses. They claimed "fraud" even though it was for a government agency and we had the appropriate documentation. We had to fill out a "credit authorization form" for the card, which didn't even ask for the card number or really any relevant information that would've deterred any fraudulent transactions. It took us an HOUR AND A HALF to check in. While standing there, several other people took 45 minutes or more to check in. It was the slowest, worst check in experience I've ever seen. They charge you daily for parking, at $44 a day. I had to pay $132 to park during my stay which is absolutely insane. The room was ok, it seemed modern. There was a laughably large television in there with only a few channels with programming worth watching. The "beach view" was a small sliver in the bottom corner window of the room. Don't pay extra for it. The "continental breakfast" was hilarious too. They charge you $30 to eat their breakfast there, and it's your standard cereal, pastries, scrambled eggs, sausage, etc. that most places provide for free. Not worth it, pay $30 somewhere else. I would absolutely not stay here for the price if I was spending my own hard-earned money on a hotel. Steer clear and find somewhere else. read more

Hotel and rooms were very clean and well maintained. Adjacent to the conference center so it was convenient. The pillows and mattress are due for replacement. I have never been so uncomfortable in a hotel bed. The pillows were like hard flat pancakes and the mattress was like a rock filled box. Bathroom was very dark, and there is no mirror above the desk area to utilize the natural light. Security did a great job of monitoring the area for panhandlers and the valet staff were very helpful and friendly. The pool and outdoor spaces were nice. Not sure if it's a Long Beach thing, but music in every establishment was so loud, hotel included. We were on the 4th floor and could hear the music in the room starting at 9am until the evening. Love this hotel!! my husband booked this hotel for two nights which sat at the heart of the Cali Vibes Concert! And honestly for location, hotel amenities, and the overall ambiance of the hotel, it was pretty fairly priced! We were able to call the morning of and reserve early check-in. They did awareness that it was first come first serve but they put a note on and when we got there, they were able to get us in at 12:30 with no extra charge. The hotel has a nice marketplace with lots of food options (Ie pizza, salads, burritos, burgers, wings, full size bar with awesome bartenders, mini conference room, coffee house options , a teenage looking lounge, and the outdoor pool is really big to accommodate a lot of guests and the hot tub fits at least 15 to 20 people so you're not feeling cramped when you're trying to have a romantic moment with your hottie husband ! We also got to be on the 11th floor and the view was spectacular. I think I was so wrapped up in the date weekend moment without my kids, I forgot to take a lot of pictures, but here's a few.!! read more

Incredible service, nice views, and new/clean rooms. They prepared for everything I requested before I called to check, for the note I wrote on the Hyatt app. They even asked me when I would arrive, and then they surprised me for my birthday celebration, with chocolate covered strawberries, champagne, and a hand written card. I mentioned only shortly that I was celebrating my birthday to make sure that they would give me what I needed in the room, and they so generously prepared for the champagne on the ice inside a bucket for me to open when I arrive. The room was new and clean, with USB-C, USB, and regular outlets, which I did not see from many other Hyatt hotels. The harbor view was nice and pretty, which made me want to turn off the lights in the room and watch the lights on the harbor outside. I only wish their parking would not charge people who stay in the hotel. They exempted the fee for one night. Without it, I would want to go back there everytime I would go to the area. It was a 5 minute walk to the Long Beach oceanfront venue which made our concert experience much nicer. Most likely this review might be taken down, but I still want to share my experience. Hyatt has a subsidiary called Hyatt Vacation Club, and unfortunately, there's no proper place online to leave a review about them. During the sales process, their representatives were not transparent -- a lot of important details were hidden or misrepresented. Later, when I tried to cancel the membership and was even willing to leave my down payment with them, I was transferred between departments endlessly. One team would promise to call back, another would say "it's not our department," and eventually you end up on a line that no one ever answers. It feels completely unprofessional and misleading. I truly believe Hyatt should take responsibility for how their affiliated company treats customers. read more

I stayed at this hotel for two nights, and unfortunately it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a Hyatt property. The issues started as soon as I checked in. When I entered my room, I noticed mold in the shower and hair left behind, so I requested a new room. I was told the hotel was at full capacity and they couldn't move me. On top of that, for both days of my stay, the shower never had hot water--only lukewarm. I asked for it to be fixed, and while someone did come by, I asked for just a couple of seconds for my husband to put on his clothes. The worker said he would come back, but never did. Safety was another major concern. On the first night, we felt like someone was trying to open our door while we were sleeping. The next day, as we were leaving our room, we actually heard someone pulling on our door again. My fiancé opened it and saw a man dressed in all black attempting to open the room next to ours. When he saw us, he quickly sped down the hallway and exited through the stairwell. We immediately reported this to the front desk. After returning from dinner, we learned that security had not even been informed of the situation. Because we no longer felt safe, we asked to be escorted to our room, and only then did security get involved. Thankfully, the second night we didn't experience any more attempts to open our door. For a Hyatt Regency, this stay was extremely disappointing. The rooms were not properly cleaned, basic maintenance wasn't handled, and guest safety did not seem to be a priority. The only positive part of our stay was the kindness of the staff at the market, the bar, and the housekeeping team. I hope management takes these issues seriously, because this experience was far below Hyatt standards. read more

This is a beautiful hotel in a convenient location near the mall, aquarium and Queen Mary ship. The staff was friendly and I was able to check in early without a fee, which got my stay off to a good start. My room was spacious, with possibly the largest TV I've seen in a hotel room. I had a great view outside my window. The bed was very comfortable. There was also an automatic footlight, to make sure you can see where you are going if you get out of bed to go to the bathroom at night. Another hotel guest gave me glasses to watch the eclipse, which could be seen from the large window in the lobby or the pool area outside. There seemed to be a lot of people in the hotel for a convention. This is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. I would definitely go back without any hesitation. read more

Back for another stay at the HRLB. They have really upped their game here. Our room is spotless, all the furniture looks brand new and the bed very comfy. There is new onsite restaurant serving a Sunday brunch. Expanded snack bar selections including vegan choices. HRLB has a hyper friendly staff. Every single person from the front desk to housekeeping cheerfully greets each guest. On check in we were helped by Jeremy and Luna. They are also double hyper friendly, helpful and welcoming. Luna and Jeremy are outstanding managers. Luna found us a stunning room with a remarkable harbor view. It is superb people like them that keep me coming back to Hyatt. read more

We had our 47th Hammond Batts Family Reunion here at the HRLB hotel July 6-9 2023. We had a ball and all (143) of our family members really enjoyed themselves. The staff was very accommodating. We had family from around the country and some from Germany! They were all pleased that everything was within walking distance. We had fun at the bar and pool. The kids and I really enjoyed all the toys and games they had by the pool. They were getting whooped in Jenga The fire pit was everything and we appreciate the extra discounts on some of the local excursions. I even left my computer in the safe after we checked out and later that evening I realized it and my heart dropped, I wasn't sure I would get it back and to my surprise it was turned into the security and my mom who was still checked in was able to retrieve it for me.The Security and the staff you are the best(Thanks Cedric)!! I really wish parking was cheaper and they had lower prices for the food at the market but I do understand we are in Long Beach and we are paying for convenience. This is one of the best Hyatt experiences that we have had. The location is very convenient to tourist attractions, like the Aquarium of the Pacific. It's easily within walking distance. LUNA & LITTO at the front desk were both very helpful and professional. The customer service was remarkable. It felt very clean overall. I appreciated the ballet staff services as well as the assistance for loading and unloading our car. The Swan Lagoon is right next to the hotel so it's quite fun to do. This was a great venue for our company's recognition dinner. Lots of different sections that tailored the vision for the event's cultural theme. There is ample parking and thank goodness for the staff who stood by the exit gates. I don't know if we would have figured out the ticketing without him I don't attend every single one of our annual dinners but this is the second time it's been held here at the Hyatt Regency and I look forward to attending more events here read more

Back in LBC for work, and I didn't love the other Hyatt, so this was the only other Hyatt option. So much better! First, the view is spectacular. Most of the hotel faces the harbor, and I got a nice corner room with 180 harbor views (room 906). Rooms were a little dated, but they've kept up with maintenance and were very comfortable. The hotel lobby was nicely decorated, open, and spacious. The location is excellent. It's practically connected to the Convention Center, right across the street from all the harbor restaurants, right next to a mall, a few blocks from downtown, and in the midst of parks and trails. They also have swan boats in a small lake on the hotel property ($11 per person). Service was excellent from check-in, housekeeping, and the market bar (their lobby cafe). The food in the cafe was pretty basic, but really good for what it is (quick meals that they reheat -- very fast service for a quick meal). Gym was okay. I wish they had Precor ellipticals, but otherwise was adequate. Small room to do some stretches and yoga, Peloton bikes, treadmills, ellipticals (Life Fitness), a row machine, five weight machines. Parking was plentiful in the lot for $33/night with in/out privileges using a card with QR code. Definitely will be my go-to hotel in the area! read more

This is an overdue review for two different stays. We were in town for a medical IME appointment 8/28/22 & 9/17/23. The first stay, (room 1205) we paid extra for the "partial view". Even on the 12th floor, it's totally not worth it. The second stay, (room 636) we didn't pay for an upgraded room but we happen to get lucky and got a room with an actual view. Pros - Has good restaurant and bar. Great location. Hotel personnel are very attentive, friendly, and helpful. Good bartenders and valet staff. Has pool & jacuzzi (but LOTS of wild kids), fairly comfortable bed, rooms are not musty (which can be an issue for quite a few LB hotels), bottled water refilling stations, lighted vanity mirror, & decent water pressure for us long haired gals. Cons - Expensive valet, small room (stay #1 rm 1205), tiny bathroom (one person at a time), horrible pillows, AC only goes down to 65 (normally okay but not on those rare hot days), LOTS of kids with clueless parents in the pool and jacuzzi (even at night). Overall is a decent place to stay if you can grab a good rate. If rates are inflated, it's not worth it. read more

Wanted to really like this hotel (comfy bed and fantastic room harbor view!) but where are the soundproof walls?? The people staying in the room next door weren't even speaking loudly but I could still easily hear them. Also the shuffling of coat hangers from the other next-door room was piercing. In the morning I heard staff knock on a room door down the hallway saying "HOUSEKEEPING!!!" (didn't need to yell that loudly especially with these walls lol). I mean, luckily I was fully awake by the time I was hearing all of these things but ultimately it's kinda a gamble of booking a room here hoping your beauty sleep won't be disturbed. Also, it was a bit eerie seeing so many signs in the parking garage about the hotel not being responsible for car break-ins and not leaving valuables in the car. 4.5 stars overall. Hyatt Regency Long Beach is a 4-star hotel that is located across the street from the bay, shopping, and restaurants. It has 531 rooms and suites across 17 floors. Amenities include a swimming pool, restaurant, bar, fitness center, free Wi-Fi, paid parking, concierge, etcetera. I reserved a one-night stay at this hotel because it is located fairly closely to the LA World Cruise Center, from which I took a cruise the next day. My room, which had one king-sized bed, cost $279 plus taxes and fees of $45 for a total of $324 for one night. I had paid extra to get a room that had a view of the harbor. My room was clean and had stylish decor. The television was 65"! The room also included the typical mini refrigerator, desk, table, chaise, and a comfortable bed. The bathroom contained miniature toiletries and even a shower cap, which came in very handy for me. The water had a good temperature and pressure. I recommend that the hotel add either hooks or a rack for hanging wet towels. I needed to purchase a razor and toothpaste, and I felt thankful that the lobby had a CVS vending machine that sold such necessities. The employees' service overall was good but not great. The concierge did not know when the nearby stores opened. The employees in the Market restaurant forgot to give us syrup and cream cheese for our breakfast. read more
