Safe, clean and well cared for property! When the apartment I had just rented was not ready for immediate move in I needed to find a great quality hotel that was pet friendly for the best price possible because I had just shelled out a shit..ton of money in apartment deposits... I found the Cabana Inn & Suites through Expedia. At first I was a little Leary of the location but as soon as I pulled onto the property I felt at ease as it is a very clean and well kept property. Mr Patel the owner-a very nice man btw, checked me in himself. The lobby even had some great amenities and toiletries, as well as snacks and beverages. I used to work for a couple of hotels several years back so I know what kinds of things to look for and I can be a bit of a snob, however I was pleasantly surprised. My first impression of the room was clean and tidy, smelled like nothing (that is important), I hate when the rooms smell musty or strong cleaning products like bleach. The beautiful blinds were clean as well as the heater/ac. I felt comfortable touching the furniture in the room. The furniture was well cared floor, wood like floor is very nice. I chose a room with a king size bed, of course I checked the sheets immediately and they were pristine. The mattress was extremely comfortable and at my age you can not put a price on a good nights sleep. Plenty of pillows. I love that the desk and side tables have built in charging outlets. The fridge was clean and kept my stuff cold. The microwave was clean as well. Everything worked perfectly. Lots of Chanels for TV watching and fast internet which is important as I had to do work from my room. As a single woman I felt safe and comfortable, even my pup feels secure, she did not even bark my whole stay. Overall I would stay here again and again. Such a great feeling to stay where the owners are hands on and really care about the safety and comfort of their guest. $60 deposit required at check in! NO swimming pool! NO guest laundry! NO fitness center! Rooms have poor soundproofing so you can hear the TV blaring from adjacent rooms! Also motel is close to busy road so you get to hear traffic noise occasionally! Other than the above shortcomings, this motel has ample parking, ice dispenser and a snack pantry in the front lobby! I hear wedding bells at sea! My daughter got married down on cruise ship by the Queen Mary haunted ship turned hotel..$300+ a night. No thank you..the cabana inn was quaint and clean. They went through a remodeling but forgot a few things to finish up the room. It didn't bother me so much. My wife booked a stop here for Saturday but we needed Friday and Saturday!!! The customer was great. He let us check in early without any hassle. Room was decent but was close enough to where Warped Tour was that the Lyft ride was only around $20 max. Parking there was very safe and no parking fee which was a plus! Thanks for the hospitality! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! ONLY LEAVING A STAR BECAUSE I HAVE TO!!! Came to town with my adult son for a graduation. We checked in on Friday about 6pm, the man at the desk took my debit card but failed to tell me that he charged $60 on it for a deposit. The room was dirty, I had to re wash my feet after taking a shower, someone prior had dropped some kind of pill on the floor that should have been cleaned up before my arrival,, the outlets next to the bed didn't not work on one side. The place has thin walls so you hear EVERYTHING going on outside and inside other rooms next to you including a couple fighting violently and loud thumping loud music at 7am. I checked out Sunday a little before 11am.. After arriving home there was no refund on my $60 AGAIN without telling me took it, I called and he said there were bloodstains on the sheets and I was not getting my deposit back.. my son and I were literally only there to sleep and shower, neither one of us were bleeding!!!! He said "I have pictures" he sent me these so called pictures of my sheets and I definitely did NOT leave these so called blood stains all over, nor would I ever leave hotel room sheets that nasty.....these stains look old like they've been there a while!! I don't even think these pictures were taken from my room!! We are not dirty people and I don't leave stains like that in my bed and if I did accidentally would definitely own it!!! The family that runs this hotel is amazing. They are so kind and accommodating. The property is on the older side, but the rooms are very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The guest laundry is an excellent amenity in a pinch, there's plenty of parking, and it's very safe. I'd rather give these guys my money over some crappy Motel 6 any day. read more

One star because you HAVE to put something!! In room jacuzzi would be great..if the tile floor around it did not get slippery!! If the room.we were in had towels, I would not have had to use the bedspread to wipe up the water! Cleaned up the mess, just to be charged $100 for STEALING the bedspread, which I left in their room soaking wet!!!! They said the security deposit was $50 but they charged me $150 from the start...and kept the $100 for the bedspread that was in the room!! I would never recommend this dump to ANYONE!! I've stayed here twice already and I really like it. The man who runs the hotel is always very nice to me and he's always accommodating at check-in. He gives me the option of choosing if I want to be on the top or bottom floor, etc. The rooms are spacious and the beds were very comfortable. I also liked being on the top floor because my room had high ceilings, I wish I had one of those solar systems/star lights to project up. Parking is semi-enclosed and is included with the room. Once I had 2 cars and it was no problem. I also lost my keys once and called him immediately and he made me feel secure, he told me not to worry and to come back to the window to get new keys. This has been my first option in hotels when I stay in this area. read more

The room was cheaply remodeled, dingy towels and a couple cockroaches in the bathroom. The clerk was and is a liar. I complained also to booking.com. The clerk said we arrived in a taxi!! Needed a place to stay while visiting with family. The place is well kept and you can tell the new owners take pride in their establishment. I was able to check in as soon as I arrived in town, which was convenient. Got upgraded to a suite since everything downstairs was booked. With my Son (a retired military veteran) we needed to be on the ground floor and the front desk clerk was happy to help us out. The suite had a small patio with a table and chairs, It was totally cute and my Grand-daughters put it to use. read more

Pleasant surprise! Looking on the map I was nervous about the location; I am not from here and was warned parts of PCH could be dangerous. I felt safe the entire time. Parking lot is very well lit at night so if you need to walk to your car to get something, you can feel safe. There's a washer and dryer which I used and they worked perfectly The manager was efficient, nice, and helpful and not overbearing. A nice touch is all the roses and the topiary everywhere. You can tell the owner takes pride in his property and he invests in it. Oh and if you're missing anything I am SURE he has it. He keeps the office stocked. Would definitely stay again. read more

This place has been remodeled and is very charming . The beds are so comfortable and the pillows too. I really like the two beams accross the ceiling giving this room a feeling of high vault ceilings and like an open Cabana . We booked this room based on the website. Paid for 2 small dogs upon arrival once he saw the dogs he called the room and said we needed to pay 35 dollars a day. He said that it didn't book the dogs. We were then also informed that we needed to walk the dogs off the property on PCH. Why if you allow pets they you have a place to walk the dogs. Ever tho their was a couple already walking their dog. I asked the gentleman if he could come to the room so that I could show him how dirty it was. He came in and said, "You're being picky." Once a guest finds one thing wrong then they look for more I am going to refund you and you can leave. Mind you it was a 6 hour drive with my 2 kids and 2 dogs. We asked him to clean and sanitize the room but he refused and asked us to leave. We were now stuck for 4 days trying to find housing that was pet friendly and had space. This was a very bad hotel!!! The pictures don't look anything like the rooms they offer. The room we were put in was dirty there was old milk under the bed. The bathroom was falling apart the bed sheets were still dirty the smoke detector didn't even have batteries in it and the room smelled like straight cigarettes. The hotel is very clean and quiet.I felt very safe.He keeps a strict policy about smoking off the property,and no riff raffs either .The jacuzzi room is great and the jets are high powered.It's affordable ,clean,safe and the towels are always white. Our room wasn't clean. There was stuff left in the fridge from people staying before. The floor mat that was left for the spa bath was stained. There was only one towel!! Online it says they provide a roll out bed for $10 and they don't have any. read more

I just stayed here and was very disappointed in it. The room was dirty, the towels left for us were musty, dingy, and had clearly been used and not replaced. The bathroom floor was filthy. There was some kind of sticky stuff smeared all over the hotel door on the inside and dried food on the floor and on a chair. The vent in the bathroom looks like it had never been cleaned. I didn't expect a five start resort but I did expect basic cleanliness. The worst part was the manager. I told him about the condition and he said there is nothing he can do and said to email the address on the business card for corporate. Not only is it a Gmail account that I'm sure leads right back to him, but I looked up the hotel and it is an individual hotel, not part of a chain so I am sure the corporate excuse is BS where you email and no one ever contacts you again. My stay total was awesome, The management was very respectful, accommodating and the rooms was very and met up with all my expectations, I like the fact ,I felt secure and the owner was on the premises as it's a family owned and family manage established management, Clean sheets, towels, bedding, and a clean bathroom was a plus for me, and of course wifi and cable t.v. I was set to enjoy my weekend in long beach. So convenient, Downtown was less then 10 minutes away. From all the major attractions in long beach, The Price was unbeatable compared to it's location, We spent more time enjoying long beach then worrying about some over priced hotels in the downtown areas. Convenience, security and availability is most important to me. Would i stay at the Cabana Inn suits again? Without a doubt thumbs up!
