My prius has never run this good and I've never worked with kinder people. Plus the fix was very affordable and EZ diagnosed my problem very quickly. My car broke down going home on the 17 to Santa Cruz. I tried to fix it myself and learned everything I could on Youtube and priuschat. I charged my hybrid battery primed the fuel pump but in the end I didn't have the time to get it done right. I called a bunch of shops to fix this. Most were overly confident about being able to fix my issue without really listening to me or trying to troubleshoot my problem on the phone. EZ on the otherhand listend and i could immediately tell that he was an expert on the prius. He walked me through everything id read others mention online and said he could diagnose the issue for $150. I had the car towed to him and he had the issue fixed within 2 hrs. It ended up being my hybrid battery and I probably ran out of fuel too. We decided to upgrade our battery to some nexcell lithium and EZ had it done within a day. Now the car flies up the 17. The battery doesn't even get to 3 bars. It's a whole different world no more struggling up the hill because the battery is drained. Wow. Just wow. Our fix is a bit pricier since a new nexcell battery is around 2.4k. But he could have reconditioned our battery for $500 and that would have included the diagnostic fee. Highly recommend this shop. They know what they are doing and by specializing on hybrid vehicles (especially prius) they can quickly diagnose/fix the issue. I don't think you can go wrong my coming here first. read more

He really knows the Prius and will do whatever it takes to get you back on the road. My head gasket was blown, and my PCS hybrid battery system went out, as well as the ABS system. What a mess! Eh, dang those catalytic converter thieves. They love my 2007 Prius like its a tree with forbidden fruit. Unfortunately, that's my fully depreciated hauling car. With 215K miles on it, I've literally had no problems other than having to replace the hybrid battery once, and the catalytic converter now twice! Losing that part is a problem since its very expensive to replace, and you don't want to drive a noisy stinky car without it. The car is barely valuable enough to replace it, so just taking it to the dealer isn't workable unless you have comprehensive insurance. (side note: if you have a 2004 - 2009 Prius, keep paying for comprehensive with a low deductible because of the hazard of cat theft. I didn't, so that's my problem). So, I called around all over the place trying to find someone who could give me a replacement at a reasonable cost. Also, I found most mechanics were saying there was up to a 6 month wait time for backordered California-compliant cats. Faraj and Hybrid Experts came to my rescue. Not only did they quote me a very reasonable price, they were able to get a new Toyota Cat in 1 day. I drove my noisy stinky Prius 50 miles to them because the offer was so good. They added another (yes a second) cat shield, and also replaced a faulty O2 sensor, and got all the work done in under 3 hours. So far, the car works great. No noise, no stink, no check engine lights. I also cleaned my garage so those damned cat thieves won't find my forbidden-fruit laden car so easily this next time. Morale of this story: 1. I was so scared when my 2006 Prius' emergency red triangle light and check engine light came on. He told me the options on the phone and was very trustworthy from the start. He did two scans on the car to make sure the codes were accurate and shared them with me. I don't know anything about cars, so I really appreciated him taking the time to explain what was going on. Very good experience here There's 2 different shops in this el Camino area, this one and Prius of San Jose, if you want faster service for a lower price i'd go for hybrid experts because at Prius of San Jose, not only do you have to make an appointment a week in advance, they also charge $200 for a simple consultation and diagnosis, whereas hybrid experts diagnose me on the spot free of charge right when I just randomly walked in, and he gave me a direct quote of $400 to fix any bad cells I had in my hybrid system ( I had the triangle light of death ). They finished the job in one day and all the warning lights disappeared, im getting almost 43 mpg on my 2nd gen now. All in all, Prius of San Jose across the street has a bigger customer base due to obviously picking such a attractive name, with more popularity, they will obviously get greedy and charge more for the same service, that's why I opted out for hybrid experts, less reviews, same service, faster service, lower price Thanks again read more

I took it into the shop and they were honest about the work process that needed to be done and assured me it would be fixed efficiently.
