Coming from a luxury service background, I have to say I was incredibly disappointed in the way my reservations were handled. I emailed the reservation manager to set a daybed for a "pool party" on a Sunday. Instead of informing me (granted I may not have done my own research adequately **but this is the point of a reservation manager**) that the main party is on a Saturday, she assumed I was already informed and booked me for the "pool party" on Sunday. When my friend and I arrived at 12, I asked repeatedly why it was so dead. They kept reassuring me the party picks up after 2. Granted at 5 pm when we were asked to leave, we were 2 of 10 people there.....Including the 5 security guards. They still charged us $650. For the pool party of 3. It was such a disappointment. A waste of time. Money. And planning. For anyone who wants to go, do not make reservations for Sunday. You'll get same service for basically free. read more

Bouncers were very nice ! We went for Labor Day Weekend and had no issues getting in, place was pretty empty though. We still had a blast, bartenders were nice. Place is pretty, half indoors and half outdoors by a pool. Would go again. read more

Wish we never ever came, and will never ever come again! We do this event every year somewhere else and by far this event at Hyde Beach was the worst ever!! Just hosted hubby's 40th birthday here. Planned our event in advance and came to preview our cabana (because we always cross our t's and dot our I's). Wish this place was as organized as we were. During the preview they showed us our private enclosed cabana which had a TV, seating, ceiling fan and area to set up for drinks...,when we returned the next day at the event they took us to an area with seating (no tv, no covered cabana, no fan and it was hot as hell) we were not happy at all. Talk about bait and switch. The workers were rude as hell told me some BS about the city has new codes and they could not give us a covered cabana .... I'm in real estate I let her know that was some ish and were just showed our cabana less than 24 hrs prior to the event. We then needed the manager. They gave us a small discount after arguing about them providing us with an area which not up to par with what we signed up for but let me tell you this, it was dirty with other people's dirty cups, cigarettes and when we asked for new cups the worker argued about it being clean then said "Fine" but he would give us PLASTIC cups instead of glass ones and he proceeded to talk ish to the other workers about us wanting clean cups. This place gets an F for Horrible Service, complete LACK of Communication, no sense of sorry "let us make this right for you" and the music wasn't good. If we did not have a large group of friends inconvenienced we would have not thought twice about leaving right then and there. read more

Came here for a Sunday Funday pool party. Great atmosphere- everyone dressed up, good music, very Vegas type of pool party. I wish 1/2 a start was an option. This "club" was a recommendation from a restaurant next door to the SLS.... Upon walking into the "club" aka pool side I was greeted by a man with a fake English accent. The clipboard holding man proceeded to ask me if I had a reservation for the club, I answered no. He asked me if I was a hotel guest, I answered no. He then told me I could get a table for $1,000 or $100 bar tab per person. The pool area was empty so clearly business is not booming. This clip board holding a*hole gives the entire facility a terrible reputation. The only recommendation I have for people considering to go here is to go anywhere else. No line drama if you are a hotel guest. I had a bad hotel stay so my review is biased. They are definitely one of the pretentious clubs in SoBe. I came when it first opened years ago and had a great time. This time, not so much. My one drink was $31. Completely ridiculous...yes, I realize it is Miami but seriously? This is my fav club. By far!! If you want to do the table thing, loud music Vegas/LIV style confined in a dark space full of sweaty drunks u can enjoy inside if not you can still dance in freedom breeding fresh air and actually socializing (yes people you can dance and hear each other talk at the same time so watch more cnn in order not to sound stupid lol) by the beautiful pools outside. I like the second option better (dancing out in fresh air) and Hyde is the only dancing club in South Beach that can offer that. SUCKS on too many levels for me to give it a positive review. In short, the waitresses are brain dead...I mean really really stupid. But that's because most of them have been jammed up on ecstasy for too long and have melted their brains. So, this obviously weighs in on the service you're going to get. The pool is small and jam packed.......and the bathrooms are always empty. Throw in a steady supply of drinks to each of the customers and the math points to the fact that the pool becomes the bathroom. We had a cabana, for $3000 bucks, and it was a total rip-off. The security staff doesn't restrict the general admission people from encroaching on your space which means they (the crowd) keep you holed up in your cabana the entire time. Well, you can always fight your way out but then you're stuck rubbing shoulders with large groups of SoBe meatheads who are passing around a giant margarita...... I've always been a Vegas pool party person. They are expensive, but they are also well done. Hyde Beach at the SLS is trying......but unsuccessfully. They are amateurs and really only exist for the local promoters to come and have a great party experience with their friends that's subsidized by the paying customers. There are soooooooo many other better options one should consider before wasting a Saturday at this place. It's a C+ experience at best. read more

Visited Hyde beach on a family vacay to Miami and got a beautiful cabana on the beach. There was 7 of us, including a toddler, and we had drinks and food which were great, but what really stuck to me was our cabana boy Franklin. He was amazing! He stuck with us until the end, from getting our tequila shots to giving my sister and I advice on purchasing hats. I work in the service industry in Vegas and having Franklin inspired me to have a better attitude in my job. He really made an impression on us and let's just say that my snap story was lit! read more

I'm literally so scared to go over to this pool/ hotel ever again. Not only did they discriminate my friends because they didn't "look" the Miami part, but they actually held my car hostage. If you've never been to Vegas pool parties or the private pool parties out in the Hamptons this is a novelty I guess. I fly down to Miami from NYC ~10 weekends each winter and I'm finally over this place after 3 visits. To summarize, you can spend however much money you want here and they are never going to treat you like you're special or provide decent service. Staff here just dgaf, pool is overcrowded and dirty and fellow partygoers are meh. Music is decent, not great. Last time they kicked another group of girls out of a table to give to us, which was definitely worse for them, but also super weird and awkward for us as we stood there for half an hour while they fought back and forth. Love the pool & vibe here! We stayed all Saturday afternoon a few weeks ago- My girlfriends and I had a Cabana for a friend's bachelorette and we had the best time. The music was fantastic and never stopped. Our server was fun and attentive-always checking in. The food and drinks were delicious, though I will say it does take quite some time to get snacks when they get busy, but other than that A+++...Oh and being able to drink in the pool!? Uhhhh Awesome! I stumbled upon this place on my first night of vacation. It was a Thursday night around 11. A group of people I had just met were on the guest list, and invited myself and my friends to join. We did not have to wait in line or pay the cover. As it was a our first night and we had never heard of Hyde Beach or SLS, we did not know what to expect. First of all, we were underdressed. We all had on casual dresses and flat sandals. You definitely want to dress to impress here. Because of this we felt a little out of place. Drinks were overpriced even for Miami. $16 for absolut and soda. The bar tenders acted like they were doing you a favor by serving you, definitely not welcoming. Aside from that, this place was gorgeous. It is beautifully laid out, with lit pools, lounge chairs, cabanas, and covered dance floor and bar. It is half inside half out, perfect for any weather. The vibe was low key but luxurious, very sexy atmosphere. Next time I visit, I would consider bottle service, to get the most for my money, and also make sure to get all dolled up. This felt like a true "Miami experience", perfect if you are looking for a something chic and special. read more

Great place to come hang out or dance, has a great atmosphere. Has high class feel with a lot of great people, The negative is the prices and we paid for VIP and got hosed on the open bar since they made us wait to get in, so we didn't get the 1hr 30min we paid for. We also suspect they refill bottles if your In the open bar, the limo that took us to the club looked horrible windshield cracked window cracked, sunroof had a note saying it's broken with tape fixing the window I guess. Limo driver very rude he expected us to literally run to the club for he can hurry and get us in. Overall we all had fun and the package deal was worth it. read more

I thoroughly enjoyed an afternoon of day drinking by this lovely pool. The decor is kitchy-cute and the staff are all model caliber in bikinis. They have a good selection at the bar, we just had coronas but I saw the bartender muddling some mean mojitos. The back pool is open to the public so take advantage! The open air bar has comfortable furniture with some TV's and even books and board games to enjoy while you hang. Whether you go in the day or the night...either way...it will be fun. At first you may feel like the people and atmosphere is a little snobby but totally NOT! Pretty people and Everyone there is just having fun! The staff is attentive and helpful. Anna the manager is AMAZING!! I have been to many other pool parties/lounges/etc...and Anna is by far the best! She's always running around but if you need her, she takes her time to listen and address any concerns. Cost of the drinks are the same as everywhere else on the beach! At least here the service is great!! read more

I live in South Beach and go out frequently. I am used to drinks that are $15-$20 each or more. I'm a girl and met some friends here. I arrived earlier so I decided to get a drink by the bar to wait. I ordered champagne, which is what I usually drink and told my bill was $36. WHAT? They don't serve a house champagne which is ridiculous. I paid but was in absolute shock. That being said, it is a very fun beautiful place to go out to at night or some of the fun pool parties. As a South Beach local and someone who goes out on the "scene" regularly I have to say I thought the drink was a complete rip off and an extremely unclassy move on their part. It really rubbed me the wrong way. I'm honest which is why this place gets 4 stars I do enjoy it, so the staff will probably ignore this review. read more

Great crowd for a pool party, but by far the dirtiest pooling SB, SLS you got to do better! I just don't understand why it can't be cleaned on a daily basis, at least the floating cigarettes and what appeared to be puke of some sort. I went to this place last year and again this year and what I didn't like is part of the staff there. The French doorman is so arrogant and rude, he let passes people us even if we were waiting for a long time. He was looking at us like we were garbage. I asked him a question and he ignored me. He had the same lame attitude last year and he seems to be rude like that to most of people. I don't understand why an expensive place like the SLS hired those kind of people. Me, my wife and another couple bought the tickets for the so called "A Night in Cuba" new year's eve experience in Miami, at Hyde Beach at SLS Hotel. The description mentioned the night would include bites (finger foods), open bar from 9PM to midnight. The night would also include cigars freshly rolled. Let me start with the goods. The cigars were actually great and included. Amazing. The drinks were also good and the structure of the place was well built. Nice decoration. Sadly, that is it. To the bad parts now, which were not few: - The open bar was absolutely crowded. At sometimes it took around 15 minutes to even have a drink. Even if it's open bar, you can't ask for a little bit more of anything. I had a Jack and coke and asked the bartender to make it stronger, she said she couldn't do it. The service with drinks was awful; bartenders were such in a bad mood you almost had to feel bad they were working during new year's eve (as if this was your fault); - The bathroom experience: there was only ONE bathroom available in the place. Really, this was the first time ever I faced a men's bathroom with huge lines. SOME PEOPLE ACTUALLY SPENT MIDNIGHT TRYING TO GO TO THE BATHROOM. Although they had many other bathrooms available, they were outside the "VIP" area, so we simply couldn't leave the place to go to another restroom - we tried, but a security guy blocked us. - The food: although the description says there were bites to eat, we hardly couldn't find any bite. Food was so rare to find we had to proactively look for it. Girls in red went on with few bites around, which disappeared in no time. At sometime during the night, we had to find the kitchen's door, so we could at least find the food more easily. - The worst part of all: the invitation mentioned the open bar would start at 9PM and go up to midnight. We stayed in line waiting for the doors to open until 9:25 PM. Until this time, we literally were stuck with not even a single glass of water. At sometime, a manager (or someone coordinating the event) appeared to forgive everyone for the long line and the waiting, saying they would open in "two more minutes". Basically, we start the party at 9:30 PM only. What would you expect then? If the whole thing started late, the open bar and bites should make up to this, ending at least at 12:30 AM. Instead, when the clock stroked midnight, you had immediately to PAY FOR YOUR DRINK. 23 USD FOR A CHAMPAGNE GLASS. No compensation at all for the time we lost waiting in line. Things got even worse when you read the teasing to the event, which was sent by Alvin Catalan, event sales manager at the SLS Brickell. Old World Havana: where is it? There was no cuban band. The only real reference to "old world Havana" were the cigars. No mojito bar whatsoever. MOJITO WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE OPEN BAR. Almost no one was dressed with the Cuba theme. The music was limited to current global hits, including Justin Bieber and others. No "old world Havana" music. I was not expecting Buena Vista Social Club, but not even a single reference to cuban traditional music. In conclusion: TOTAL, UTTERLY FRUSTRATION WITH THIS night. I was expecting so much more for this special occasion, which was not cheap. I felt aggrieved and offended with the entire experience and with the delivery who won't match what we expected according to the briefing invitation. read more

After a horrendous experience at the Perry Rooftop, myself and our group of 8 decided to see if we could try to get chair rental at the Hyde Beach. The experience was first class. We actually inquired while we were there on a busy Saturday night , and the girl showed us around to exactly what we'd be getting and took time to explain pricing and make a reservation. The service was tremendous, and done with a smile. The food was phenomenal, from the sushi, to salad, to fresh exotic fruit, to ceviche. The alcohol selection was excellent, and the pool was lovely. The DJ was light and fun, and the crowd (Sunday) was a good mix of 20-40 somethings. I'd go back every time! read more

Really over priced average tasting food and drinks, (example, 25$ for a buddy burger) the club area was not "bumpin" at ALL - maybe bc it was Wednesday, not Saturday? After realizing it wasn't that type of pool party atmosphere I was told about, I brought my baby into the area only to be kicked out and told that it was an adult only area... Yet a sign was up saying children must be accompanied by an adult ..? Don't waste your money on their expensive menu and their empty not fun pool area. From the entrance they open the door and greet you. The staff is Super friendly whether ordering a glass of ice water or doing bottle service. Jake, Randy, Bruno, Derrick & Luke are awesome. Great music by the DJ's. Sweet looking place great energy inside and out. Saturday they had college football games on the TV's inside. During commercials I'd step outside by the pool. Let me tell you Sexy is the SLS. Don't get me started on the Epic Havana Nights Halloween Party loved it. Thursday night ladies drink specials.
