The food was wonderful great flavors cornbread was cornbreading. View was beautiful and candles were real. I didn't care for the spinach fettuccine by I'm sure it had promise if it wasn't by it self. Service was beautiful I love the outfits the ties where gorgeous, the servers had beautiful spirit I love the atmosphere it was so pretty! bill was a bit pricey for two, but it was acceptable. I was taking my mother out for Mother's Day.

Location not cool for parking... get there early if you wanna meter park because Valet takes them over at dinner. Service was pretty good. Not excellent but very tolerable. Tip, do a little better with asking questions when introducing yourself. Presentation of food is very good though not a lot of healthy options. My stuffed peppers had a creamy cheese (may have even BEEN cream cheese). Unexpected and unpreferred... just stick to melted cheese. Spice level was on point though. Pasta Alfredo dish was seafood and chicken was preferred due to allergies, could have sheared off a couple $, since we all know shrimp and scallops cost way more. Both salads were great. Lastly, the popular onion soup is most disappointing. I'm a French onion soup snob so a bowl of broth topped with 9lbs of cheese is UNacceptable. Where are the actual onions???

This is a "casual dining" steakhouse. They tried to make the space chic with their decor and music. Their service is attentive, our waitress was friendly. And while they charged "steakhouse" prices for the food, they didn't take the care for plating or cooking to match. We ordered their top sirloin with loaded baked potato and ribeye with Brussel sprouts. The top sirloin was on the chewier side and was rather over salted. The baked potato was strangely bland despite being loaded. The ribeye was appropriately fatty and was made perfectly. But the brussel sprout was strangely charred yet limpy. I really wanted to like this place but the food just didn't hit the right spots. Oh, there was also a door with squeaky sound that kept squeaking through the meal that was highly distracting. ‍

This visit was lackluster at best. The food was 4 stars, nicely prepared and tasty. The overall experience was 3 stars, definitely not a fine dining experience. I booked a reservation to celebrate hubby's birthday. In the comment section, of the reservation, I mentioned that we were celebrating hubby's birthday. For reference, I booked the private dining room, a few years ago to celebrate hubby's birthday with a few close friends, and the experience was phenomenal. There was no valet parking option, even though there are valet markers within a few feet of the restaurant, we quickly found out that those markers belong to Blue Point Grille. We parked across the street, in the lot with NO posted weekend prices, just Mon-Fri, so we had NO idea how much the final rate would be. We were warmly greeted and seated by the hostess, she did ask our preference, if being seated in a booth was ok. We responded, absolutely. We were greeted a short time later by our server. Typically in nicer restaurants, the server will ask if this is a first visit, and/or if we are celebrating a special occasion. We didn't receive either inquiry. She took our wine orders, and then returned to take or starter orders. Hubby ordered the shrimp cocktail and I ordered the market greens salad. The shrimp were perfectly prepared, accompanied by cocktail sauce, with a dab of horseradish in the center, nice touch. My salad was tasty, fresh greens, apple slices, cranberries, and candied nuts, with a sherry vinaigrette. The salad was a slightly overdressed, but still tasty. We didn't receive bread with our starters, so I gently inquired, and the server mentioned that it was coming. I'm not sure that if I hadn't asked, we would have received it and because there was a wait for the bread, I expected it to be hot and fresh, it was not, it was closer to room temperature, so much so, that the honey butter on top didn't melt, and the texture was a little bit gummy. Our server took our meal order, when dropping off our starters, I wonder if there were any specials, and what was the catch of the day? Normally you don't have to ask, the information is offered. Anyway, we placed our orders. I ordered the salmon, and hubby ordered the tomahawk pork chop. Our food arrived a short time later. The salmon was generously portioned, over a beautiful bed of perfectly prepared risotto, that included, mushrooms, spinach and h. Hubby's thick cut chop, was perfectly cooked, accompanied by white cheddar mashed potatoes, the portion was just a little bit light, in proportion to the huge chop. The chop was topped with cinnamon, brown sugar apples. The apples were tasty. The restaurant should ready think about incorporating those into a dessert...yum. Hubby wanted another glass of wine, which we had to flag down our server and request. We opted out of dessert. I only order dessert, when my dining experience is good. This visit wasn't terrible, just not what I would have expected at this price point. There are so many other places, within the same price point, and within close proximity, that offer a better experience. I always tip based on the bill, and not the service, so the server is alway generously compensated, even when the experience is just ok. We probably won't return.

Visited Cleveland Chop for a work lunch and the food was great! For appetizers, we shared the loaded chicken tenders and calamari. For my entree, I ordered the turkey & ham focaccia melt with sweet potato fries and the fries were the best sweet potato fries I've had! The melt was also well prepared and satisfying. Cleveland Chop is a business casual vibe so you might feel out of place if you're not dressed as such. The service was just okay, I'm not sure if it was due to our large group (party of 8) or if the server was stretched too thin but there was a moment in time when we didn't see her for at least 10-15 minutes. That's the only reason why I wouldn't give my experience a perfect rating.

They tout themselves as "Cleveland's Favorite Steakhouse," and they delivered that big-time in a recent business dinner visit. Located in Cleveland's vibrant downtown business district, Cleveland Chop had superb options for burgers, steaks, and seafood, which delayed my order due to being way too hungry. The staff was friendly, personable, and energetic. I enjoyed the Steak Cigar appetizer, a tasty steak and cheese combination that resembled an egg roll. Served in a group of four, they were delicious with their companion cheese mustard. I whiffed and forgot to order a salad, and after seeing others enjoy theirs, I won't make that mistake again. My Farge Islands Salmon main dish was excellent, a tasty piece of fish that has spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, and risotto. Wasn't in a steak mode, and so glad that I picked this fish! GREAT service by our server, as she was both helpful and kind.

We went for our first visit this weekend before a show at the Q. The food was outstanding. We all had something different and thoroughly enjoyed our meals: steak, salmon; a classic menu with some contemporary flare and the service was fast! It felt like an upscale sports bar in the bar with some college football fans, but it added to the experience. The rest of the restaurant was more subdued but lively.

I flew in town to take a friend of mines out to dinner and wanted to take him somewhere nice! This restaurant was nothing but a dream to go to. All of our food was good and my friend was highly impressed. Emily was our server and she was so sweet and attentive. The sea bass with asparagus was to die for, so good! If I ever come back to Cleveland this will be my spot.

We had seen this place in past visits to the area but this time we decided to make a reservation for a special dinner. This place is in an old warehouse and so unique. It was a cozy booth that dimly lit but open enough to take in the environment. We started with the baked asiago dip that was mushrooms and cheese dip served with a baked scallion toast (so much flavor). My husband tried one of their award winning cockails, The Honeycomb, which was great but he had to have an old fashion as well. The menu has everything from steaks to seafood and array of sides. It was overwhelming on what to choose. I ordered the Louisiana shrimp and risotto which was beyond amazing, I just wish I had some bread to scoop the sauce. My husband chose the sea bass but ordered the side of lobster shrimp gnocchi. Our only downfall was the dessert menu, we love house made but those 2 options were not our favorite flavors. We will be back!

Cannot say enough wonderful things about the service at Cleveland Chop! We spent our anniversary here and would highly recommend if you are celebrating any special occasions. The starter cornbread skillet is delicious, as is the carrot cake (pictured).

Service was good after they knew I i'ed been seated in the dining room. Ordered the prime cut New York strip, medium well, came out on the rare side. Was able to send it back and have it warmed up, not a problem. Overall, the steak was OK. I do believe my green egg can make a better steak.

Ask the Community - Cleveland Chop

As far as the dress code, are hats acceptable if paired with business casual attire?

Is the dress code casual enough for a lady to wear jeans and sneakers? My husband made a reservation before a casual event and I don't want to have to change if not necessary .

Yes

The facility is far bigger than I thought it would be. They have a central restaurant with multiple party centers on either side. It's a really BIG facility. New, modern, and quite attractive. With plenty of convenient parking. The wall of the restaurant that faces Cleveland Hopkins Airport is all glass. It affords you quite an impressive view of the airport and the planes landing. The staff we met was pleasant and efficient. Our server, Mina, did an excellent job all night. If there was a weak point, it would be the food. It was not bad (I'm trying to be kind); it was just uninspired, limited, and not really well prepared. Because they do not offer bread for the table our only option was to order the "Soft Pretzel". It arrived badly overcooked, crunchy not soft, and even boardering on burnt. The charcuterie board was OK, but uninspired. I ordered the "Lemon Chicken" which was a full half chicken in a reasonably good sauce. But the meat was dry and it came only with brussel sprouts (yuk!). My wife had the "Walleye" which she simply said was "okay"... oh well. Our guests weren't any more impressed than we were. I will say our coffee and "Pot de Creme" were very good... thank goodness. All in all, our overall experience was "meh"... just "meh". Sorry - really probably should be 3.5

Celebrating our 14th wedding anniversary called for something simple, yet memorable--and The…read moreAviator delivered exactly that. We dropped in for Happy Hour, looking for cocktails and a few bites, and were immediately struck by the well-appointed space. The runway views at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport added an unexpected layer of entertainment--watching planes take off and land while toasting 14 years of marital bliss felt like the perfect backdrop. We started strong with a French 75 and an Old Fashioned--both expertly crafted, but that Old Fashioned? Smooth, balanced, and memorable enough to set the tone for the entire evening. Wednesday happens to be Wing Day ($2 whole wings), and we took full advantage. We sampled Buffalo, Sweet & Tangy BBQ, Lemon Pepper Dry Rub, and the undeniable star of the show: Garlic Parmesan. Each had its own personality, but that Garlic Parmesan was simply elite. Service was impeccable--Emily was attentive without being intrusive, making sure our experience flowed as effortlessly as the cocktails. Speaking of which, round two brought a Cosmo alongside a repeat of that Old Fashioned...because when you find the right note, you stay in that key. For food, we shared the French Dip Baguette--shaved prime rib, provolone, horseradish aioli, and au jus done right--and paired it with the Mega Crunch Fries, elevated with sea salt, rosemary, and a light truffle oil drizzle. Simple menu items, executed with intention. We closed the evening the same way we began--together, with one final round of Old Fashioneds. A Happy Hour well spent. A celebration well honored. A 14-year journey still taking off.

I thought they should have had a "dessert" station. The pastry station was fine, but it needed more options for sweet things. The charcuterie was a mess and each person that came up and touched the tongs made it kind of disgusting to think about serving yourself the food that was on the trays. The prime rib was really good. The food for the table was kind of random. Two salads, deviled eggs, asparagus, eggs and bacon, fried chicken, bread and oil, and VERY random Captain Crunch pancakes. It was a very random assortment. The salads were dry and not much to them. The chicken was good, but pieces were too big. The pancakes had a nice flavor, but one bite was all you could do! And all this was $65, plus 20% gratuity, and 8% tax....so more like $80 per person. Not worth it. It should have also included a beverage. The coffee was an additional $5, let alone the alcoholic beverages which averaged around $20.

We arrived to be greeted by an exemplary young man serving as the valet. He was exceedingly pleasant and personable. I appreciated his marvelous attitude toward his job and our service. The young women who greeted us upon entry were very kind and efficient. We were seated immediately at a very comfortable table. Shortly thereafter, a pleasant gentleman by the name of Ihab introduced himself as our server for the evening. He immediately filled our water, identified the various menus at the table, and took our drink orders. A while later our beverages arrived, he answered several questions and explained the evenings specials. I ordered the Grilled Avocado followed by Broiled Oysters "Rocco". My wife ordered the Potato Gnocchi with crab & lobster. We followed our meal with excellent coffee and a good Pot de Creme. In conclusion... the noise problem that so plagued us the first visit seemed to have been addressed. It was now more reasonable. Our server was a pleasant enough young man but he appeared spread thin. He was continually distracted by his many other tables. It was a bit inconvenient. Finally, the menu was respectable but predictable. There was nothing extraordinary about it.

The outside is dated, sure, but step inside and it's immediately clear this place has been doing things right for a reason. We started with the crab stuffed mushrooms, and they were the right call; rich, well-stuffed, and a strong opening act. The French onion soup, while flavorful, ran a little salty for our taste, so consider yourself warned if that's your go-to dish. The salad was fresh and came out crisp, clean, no complaints. On the steak front, the ribeye and porterhouse are the real stars here. Both were cooked perfectly, packed with flavor, and reminded us why we came to a steakhouse in the first place. The food is the draw, and at these prices, the value-to-quality ratio is hard to beat anywhere in the area. And then there's Marissa.
