    Paneer Kadai
    Julia Y.

My family and I frequent this spot for some of the best Indian food in Omaha! And being homebodies, we typically order takeout. That being said, their to go service is phenomenal. The order is typically ready before the estimated time, so be sure to head there quickly to make sure you can pick up your food fresh. Being vegetarian, I've tried a few different dishes here, and I've always been impressed with the amount of flavor and variety that they offer. Paneer Kadai has been a top favorite of mine due to just how rich it is in spices. Frankly, I don't even have the vocabulary to explain and the menu simply says exotic spices, so I'm not sure what it is in here that makes it so memorable ... but I crave it regularly. Recently, I decided to try another dish - the paneer tikka masala. Of course, this is tomato-based, and while it did not have the same level of 'Exotic spices' oh, it warmed me from the inside our and had no shortage of paneer! I'd recommend a tikka masala to someone that isn't as familiar with Indian spices and wants to get started with something simple. Oh, my family, and I always order the garlic naan, and absolutely love it! If you are going all out, be sure to order a dessert for the experience. The textures are unique in each one that I've tried, and the flavors are usually mild. I personally enjoyed the rasmalai, but take a look at the options and see which one peaks your interest! I'm a return customer here, and if you enjoy Indian food, or want to get out of your comfort zone to try some, I'd highly recommend it!

Everything was delicious and perfect. We were very happy with our meal. We dined in, which was great, but it would have been nice if they played more than one song over and over. The food was so good and fresh. I can't wait until we eat there again.

Ordered take-out. Muligatwany soup was very different than advertised. Thin broth with peas and carrots in it. Right color just not the rich, curried soup with rice garnish that you might be used to. Portions seemed small but flavor was good and spice level just right. Naan was pretty good. Didn't seem freshly made. Make sure you order mint chutney if you want it. None comes with it. Ok place but there are better options in Omaha area.

This is probably some of the best Indian food I've had in Omaha. Every person I dined with thought the food was incredible. The service, however, was somewhat lacking. All of the entrees came out at different times, which meant some people in the party felt awkward staring to eat before others. And it was difficult to flag down the waiter at the end of the meal for boxes and to pay. On the basis of how delicious the food was though, I will certainly be coming back or getting takeout in the future

Amazing!! Our neighbors are from southern India and recommended Hyderabadi to us. We are so glad they did because this is our new favorite restaurant. Vijayawada Special Chicken Biryani is our go to and it is always amazing. We decided to try the Chicken Tikka Pizza last night and wow! So darn good! Honestly anything here is amazing. We have also had several of their curry options and loves those too.

The food here is way better than it was when this place was Tanduri Fusion! And the atmosphere isn't so dark anymore. Much less bar-like. My friend and I tried a few items, all good. The ghee roast dosa was huge and very tasty. The chutneys that came with it were both good, but the (temperature) hot one is also very spicy. The dosa itself was a tad thinner than I prefer but had good lentil flavor. The vada were very hot when they came out but had way too many onions IMO. Especially noticeable because the onions were basically raw inside the dough. But the batter itself tasted flavorful and wasn't too oily. The butter chicken was delish! The mild heat level had a kick to it still, but wasn't overwhelming. The chicken chunks were tender and the gravy was equal parts bright and earthy...hard to achieve this balance. Plenty of basmati rice came with the dish too. I had leftovers. The service wasn't great, hence the 4 stars. There was only one guy working as a server and the takeout person so he was very busy. It wasn't all his fault, they should have scheduled another worker. But even so, he moved slowly and had no sense of urgency. Not the best recipe for success when you're trying to stick to an hour for lunch.

Definitely one of my favorite spots to eat here in Omaha. When you come in they have beautiful artwork on the wall. The staff is very nice and they don't bother you too much while you're eating. Food here is amazing! Everything seems really fresh and made with care. If you like Indian food, I would highly recommend this place.

Chicken Tikka Masala has always been my favorite dish, but I tried my sisters' and mom's dishes, and I loved them both!! Honestly, if you try any of my recommendations, this is the one I would say to try! The inside is more of a nice casual vibe and our waiter was super sweet! I 100% recommend going!!

Bawarchi didn't give me an option to do that for delivery, so I made special instructions notes on everything "not spicy" - I did what I could to prevent it from being too spicy for me. Unfortunately, that's exactly what happened. Butter chicken is as safe as an Indian food you can get to avoid spice, it's usually not spicy at all and just creamy. I took one bite of this and knew it was inedible for me. Way too spicy. I was very bummed. I got chicken tikka momos which are a weekend special, I'm very confused if they gave me normal ones or what because inside it was completely normal looking chicken, not seasoned, no sauce.. and they also were a little spicy, tolerable at least but still didn't taste at all like chicken tikka. I also had the samosas and I did think they were good and honestly the only reason I gave it any stars. It's still a little spicy but again tolerable enough that I was able to eat them. A little expensive at over $7 for two. Lastly I got the egg dosa. It's advertised as "fluffy eggs inside crepe" but I literally couldn't tell if they even gave me an egg dosa or a regular one. There was no fluffy eggs, no flavor, no anything. Extremely disappointing. Overall, I probably would not try again. If I'm explicitly writing not spicy and it's still so spicy I can't even eat it, there's something wrong. I've eaten plenty of Indian food where the spice level is fine and there is no reason for me to worry it'll be inedible but sadly this is not one of those places Threw my money and this food in the trash. What a waste. :(

It was a Thursday evening and not very busy. Only two other tables when we were there which really surprised me after tasting the food. They started out with the complimentary papadam with two different sauces a mint chutney and a brown sauce not sure what it is but both great. We started off with the naan bread basket and an another garlic cheese naan definitely didn't need more than the bread basket was a very large portion to split. All were very tasty the garlic was my favorite. I had the Karnali combo biryani which was awesome had the right heat I asked for spice wise and good amount of all the different meats. My wife got the mango masala which she really enjoyed and isn't always the biggest Indian food fan but she ate hers and ate the leftovers the next day as well. My aunt had chicken korma which she raved about as well. My mother tried the malai kofta she had only tried Indian food once many years ago and this experience confirmed she's not a fan and has a bad taste palette haha. I really enjoyed this dish as well and was happy to have the leftovers the next couple days. We ordered her some chicken tenders from the kids menu but those also had some seasonings more cumin I'd say and others that she didn't enjoy but our 14 month old really enjoyed. So if you have a very picky eater maybe go with one of the other kids options. The white creamy sauce that came with my biryani was also bursting with flavor and had a great cooling sensation. The man who served our table was very friendly and even played peek a boo with our baby from the register area. Place had a nice vibe and was very clean bathrooms included. We reached the restaurant around 3:30 - 4 PM for a late lunch, and there were a few people dining inside. The restaurant was very clean, the tables were well arranged, and the Indian music playing in the background gave the place a nice cozy vibe. We started with the tandoori chicken and then ordered garlic naan, butter chicken, and two chais for the main meal. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, but it was different from the typical restaurant-style tandoori chicken. It tasted more homemade with regular spices, without the bright red color or smoky restaurant flavor. Still, it was really good. The best part of the meal was actually the sauce served with the chicken. It tasted like a spicy tomato-onion gravy, almost similar to butter chicken sauce, and honestly, I wish the butter chicken we took later had been cooked in that same sauce because it was delicious. The butter chicken was tasty overall - rich and creamy, though the garlic naan could have been better. The naan felt a little too dry and could have used more butter. The chai at the end was ok because it had a bit too much spice and tasted more milky than tea. The service was decent as well. The server was friendly, but while taking our order he wasn't writing anything down and had to ask us to repeat a few things, so that was a little awkward. The food arrived in about 10 minutes, which was pretty quick. One thing to note is that we had to place the chai order along with the food because the server mentioned it takes around 15 minutes or more to prepare. I did feel that the pricing was slightly higher compared to the quality and portion sizes. The tandoori chicken was around $17 ,the butter chicken was about $19 and the Naans $4 each and chais were around $4 each, so the total came close to $55 + w tax or more. Personally, I don't think the food completely matched the pricing and was mediocre. Overall, I had a decent experience and really appreciate that they were open on Memorial Day because they definitely satisfied my Indian food craving. I would definitely recommend trying the tandoori chicken appetizer, especially with the sauce they serve alongside it. I would give the restaurant a solid 3 out of 5 stars.

The veggie balls were soft and smooth when cut open, but firm enough to not fall apart in the sauce. The flavors present were so incredibly warm and rich that I could have simply eaten it like soup! I personally ordered a 4 in spice on their 10 scale, and could have handled a 5 in terms of spice, but staying at a 4 keeps your nose from running! The naan options are super fun, and you can select from plain, cheesy, garlic, and more! I personally went with the cheese naan and it was so full that it was almost like a quesadilla ! That is super rare in my experiences, and I was pleasantly surprised by the heftiness of this naan. Each order is 4 pieces for only a few bucks. My companion ordered an appetizer as a meal, and said they also could have gone spicier - so the lesson here may be to trust your spice tolerance and go just one more notch above what you think you can handle! The creaminess and balance of spices allows everything to melt together rather than be overpowered by one element. I'll definitely be returning to Percys and hope you give it a try!
