They sent a plumber out that afternoon. He assessed the problem and shut off the water. He said he could fix the pipes the next day, which was a Saturday, that it would take about 8 hours and that the "Boss" would contact me. I received a text that the job would cost $2100 to $2300. We said yes. The plumber was at our house for roughly 45 minutes. The plumber and associate came on Saturday and fixed the problem. They were at our house for roughly 6 hours. Then I received a text from the "Boss" to send $2265.00 via Zelle to this phone number. We were not provided with an invoice or any paperwork at all. This began a back and forth of texts and emails. I asked for a proper invoice with a cost breakdown, a guarantee on the work for X amount of time, and a secure online portal so that I could pay via credit card. The "Boss" sent me an invoice with only a total and no guarantee on the work. He said he only accepted check or Zelle. When I eventually received an invoice with a cost breakdown: We were charged $300 for the 45-minutes on Friday afternoon. We were charged $145 per hour for the plumber and $60 per hour for the associate for 8 hours of labor. Since they were not actually here for 8 hours, I learned that we were charged their full rate of $205 per hour for shopping time at the supply store, travel time and part of their lunch hour. The "Boss" emailed: "we do not take visa but if you wish vise charge 4% and it will be additional cost to you." I replied that I would not pay additional fees to use a credit card. Then he wanted me to email my credit card info to him, which is not secure. I confirmed this with our credit card company and the Better Business Bureau, both of whom advised using only a secure online portal. The "Boss" replied, "for the last time I'm not taking visa only check or zelle only zelle is very secured" Eventually he sent me a link to a secure online portal and we paid the invoice amount via credit card, but no additional fee.

They worked GREAT with the AC installer and made sure that we could safetly power the new equipment without having to tear up the whole electrical system (which is what another electrician wanted to do). They were able to upgrade the electrical panels and do other electrical work at a very great price in a timely manner. When the guy came it took him about 30 seconds to figure out that there was a light switch I didn't realize was there that turned off the light, so the problem was solved immediately. Nevertheless, they charged me an additional $75 fee, which I was told was somehow the "minimum" they could charge. This was not communicated to me when I booked the appointment (ie, that there would be a $75 service fee plus a "minimum" $75 fee), so I ended up paying $150 for someone to flip a light switch. The electrician himself was very nice and they came right on time as scheduled.

One couldn't come out for almost two weeks, one never responded, and one was Flash Gordon Electric. Lonny from Flash Gordon was able to come out the next day. He is very friendly and personable. He tested several outlets and wires including fixing a couple of weirdly wired outlets. He also replaced half a dozen of the old (pre-1990) outlets including a couple outlets that were original to the 1970s when room was added. It was affordable and done in under two hours. Would definitely recommend them for future work.
