Tried a strawberry cheesecake slice. The topping was your a syrupy strawberry glaze with jello layer. The cheesecake is not your traditional cheesecake. It felt like part mousse part jello part cheesecake. Not a big fan since I was expecting cheesecake.

After walking by their enticing display on multiple occasions, I finally decided to pop in. They have a full assortments of small tarts/pastries, French macaron, cookies, cakes, and cupcakes. We went for an order of spinach pie, mini cannolis, red velvet cupcake, and a slice of cheesecake. The red velvet cupcake was so disappointingly DRY and tasted like it had been in the display for a week. Cheesecake wasn't bad - just if you were expecting a rich, thick, and creamy slice, you'd also be sorely disappointed. Their cheesecake was more on the light/airy side.. not bad if you know what to expect. The cannolis were pretty good, standard crispy shell, filling not too sweet. The one and only reason I would come back to this bakery - their spinach pie. I took this to go and ate it for breakfast the next morning after popping it in the air fryer for a couple of minutes and it was so good. Perfect spinach-dough ratio, filo dough super flaky.

Big selection of desserts. Quality is ok. I went in the afternoon but I guess it's fresh earlier in the day. The cream used in the desserts is good. The dough, crust etc wasn't as good. The galaktobureko had good texture and sweetness but it's not up there with the best. I'll give it another chance if I'm around earlier in the day.

I highly recommend Elite Pastries Cafe for custom cakes. I seriously ordered the same cake twice lol. I've gotten pastries and ready made cakes before and they were always delicious but never a custom cake until now. My son wanted an Octonauts cake for school so I was looking for a place that can do an ocean themed cake since I would get the figurines for the cake. I didn't want a fondant cake for 4 year olds. I showed the owner the picture of the cake I wanted and he delivered . We choose a funfetti cake with strawberry mouse filling. Very yummy and everyone enjoyed it. My husband and I were still craving that cake and when I asked my son what cake he wanted for his actual birthday he said he wanted the same cake. So we got it again :). If I need a custom cake I will def look to order from here again.

Was looking for a birthday cake for my mom. Looked at some nearby bakeries and ended up choosing Elite Pastries due to the good reviews and wanted to try something new. I called the day before and let them know what I wanted - the lady on the phone said she would prepare the name plate for me. I arrived early, there was no line and cake was ready with accurate name plate. Price was reasonable. I selected a tiramisu cake, because it was different than your usual birthday cake. While the flavor wasn't my favorite (was cinnamon heavy) and it contained more cream than "cake", it was still good and enjoyed by all. The cream thankfully wasn't too sweet and the dark chocolate topping helped offset the cinnamon. Overall experience was hassle-free and I was happy to support a local business.

Its a nice cafe to take a break with friends and enjoy some treats. Greeks items, cakes, cookies.... Cakes got a slice of red velvet cake. It Was good but it had a strong hint of lemon in every bite. I did not sense enough cake. They were a little heavy with the cream cheese frost. But to each's own I guess. I will go back and try the carrot cake next! Heard that was a fav.

    Miniature pastries
    Seby I.

The miniature pastries were mouthwatering. After lunch at Thai Social, Val brought me to have dessert at Elite Pastries Cafe in Bayside. Between the two of us we had chocolate covered strawberry, pistachio macaron, fruit tarts and lemon meringue pie. Valerie drank a cappuccino and I had a single shot macchiato. Elite has a fairly large space with indoor seating nicely spaced apart and a unisex restroom. We had an enjoyable time. With an array of tempting cookies to choose from I bought three varieties and have been savoring the tender biscotti with tea every day.

What a find on a rainy night heading home; thanks to yelp; we jumped off the Clearview exp; waited about 10 minutes to get a metered parking spot directly in front of the bakery cafe ..... They have table service; very polite staff & a very comfortable cafe area.... very cozy...... I had their regular coffee and the wife went with a cappuccino both were delish & hit the spot !! I had a few of their rainbow cookies & one of their miniature cannoli's very good !!! The wife had a slice of their Oreo cheesecake which was super fresh n moist not dry !!! I had a fork full of that !!! My brother went with their Napoleon which he enjoyed as well .... Love this place, they have a very large selection of cake slices which are priced very reasonable..... Their Pastry, cookies, cakes & pie selection will not disappoint it's was huge !!!! Very nice bakery & cafe !!! Whether your on a date or out with the family this place is a must try !!!! Now me & the family have another highway jump off spot !!! We will be back for sure !!!

    Macarons and Boston creme
    Kelda C.

Bought a few pastries from this bakery as we were walking through the area. We had the Boston creme, cookies and cream macaron, raspberry macaron and mini fruit tart. The mini fruit tart was the most decent although the tart shell tasted store-bought. Both macaroons were a disaster, the raspberry especially had a very artificial/chemical taste. The Boston creme really didn't need the chocolate icing or caramel swirl on top, it was overkill and didn't mask the lack of flavour in the creme filling, the cake of it was too dense. I would not recommend :(

Walking in, you see green, lots of it in the form of lush plants and flowers everywhere. There is no over powering scents and the high ceilings do make the space feel open and calm. The counter to order is closer to the rear of the store and there's plenty of cafe style seating and communal seating all around. In warmer months, they put small tables and chairs outside on the sidewalk. The artisanal coffee here is what sets them apart. Bold flavor choices, robust and velvety varieties. Many options to choose from, check out the menu pics. I had the Americano and loved it. We also ordered hot food while hanging out. As they are popular for brunch, Jo and I shared the lemon curd blueberry pancakes as well as the savory salmon lox pancake. We likely over ordered but didn't mind, as we're always open to trying more dishes. The lemon curd blueberry was our favorite. I liked that there was extra lemon curd on the side and the blueberries were fresh. They were lightly dusted with powered sugar and thankfully not bathed in syrup. It was a light and satisfying dish even though it was pancakes. Didn't feel heavy at all. The ice cream was a nice touch so you could consider this as a dessert. The lox and eggs were really good as well. Those pancakes were topped with tomato, greens and avocado. Like a full meal on a plate. So glad we shared everything. I'd totally recommend a dine in experience so you can try the food once it's prepared. We both bought sandwiches to go for our family and those held up well considering it needed to be transported home. I recommend the ham and cheese croissant sandwich.

The tables are close enough and small enough to hear what your neighbors are saying to each other, imagine what they think of you? LOL I noticed speaker music was playing a bit louder then the last time I was there. The fact that patrons have to shout over each other while sharing speaker music doesn't help with the ambience of enjoying a delicious cake over an interesting conversation. I ordered something new this time, a delicious lava cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Why didn't I see that description on my check? Strange. I also visited their website online, and noticed a lot of Stock Ai made photos and videos. I even found the website hard to navigate as well because it wasn't loaded with actual cakes and up to date pricing. So quite honestly the online website wasn't helpful with what they had in the shop. * Perhaps a future improvement between tables might be an above head moveable divider which actually could provide some privacy. Something I guarantee would be way more inviting than the current seating arrangement. The Review Guru Long Island NY
