Not worth the money. I was one of the original renters of storage but over the years the service has become horrific. Hours of operation are not user friendly. They increased my rate over 23% over a one year period. There are many other new facilities that are dealing for your service. One of the cleanest storage facilities I've ever used. Very secure facility - Need code to get in plus code to go to your floor. Professional staff...Sarah was very accommodating when I needed to change my unit. My only negatives would be the hours are a little shorter than other facilities and it does get really hot during the Summer months...especially on the second floor. This is the best self-storage place. They have free WiFi, an office area, free coffee, use of their fabulous conference room (which you need to reserve in advance) and Fort Knox-like security. Maureen and Linda work weekdays and are as friendly as can be. You can even store your car, RV or boat there. It's not that expensive either, especially considering the service you get. GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING. WHen moving in, I asked about proration when moving out. Like ANY business, you'd expect to be prorated, especially if it's less then half a month. So the lady explains as such, it's prorated moving out just like it's prorated moving in. Now actually moving out, Richard says, nope. Stay one day, pay the whole month. He explains that people were given misinformation. THAT'S YOUR RESPONSIBILITY if your employees mess up. Everything from this place has been an administrative nightmare. Owner's comments saying things were taken care of... That's cause I spent an hour in their office aurguing! Place is unbelievable! What a headache! read more

Received amazing service over the phone from Catherine and Maurine. Awesome all the way around. 6 months for a 2nd story (with elavator) 10'x15' spot for only 1/2 off @ $99 bucks a month... ridiculously good price - I'll be referring people for sure! Once in place, Spencer took care of the paperwork and provided a great tour with lots of helpful service and tips. He even called me to give me a heads-up on the availability of the van - amazing service. The gratis moving van is more the size of a GIANT U-Haul and perfect to get everything in, in one shot... saving you gas and time. Awesome deal all-around. I wouldn't go anywhere else - the price, service, the cleanliness of the facilities, convenient location off the 5, free moving truck, and no upfront fees make this place an easy 5 stars in anyone's book. read more

After looking at yelp reviews, I decided to give this place a shot and so far, so good. Came in on a Sunday and the front desk people were very helpful and showed me around the facility to let me see the different sized units. The prices they quoted were a little high but thankfully I had done some prior research and they matched some quoted prices I had found online (go look at sparefoot). With that, I was able to get a 7' x 10' unit for under $100/month. With sparefoot, I have a maximum of 6 months at that price before it reverts the original price, which is about 1.5x more. I also used the other benefit of this facility or renting their truck. They give you 50 free miles and charge $0.99/mile for everything above that. You also have to fill the gas back up obviously. So I was able to move my stuff into the unit for probably ~$125 versus borrowing a uhaul that would have cost me over $200. Overall, a very good facility with nice staff. Clean with wide halls and a good security system. Only wish that the hours were longer but still a good deal for the area. read more

Really impressed with I-5 Storage.. I received such good service from the office staff Tina and Breana.... Very clean, they have dollies just check out the key at office. Great 6mo discount on the storage units. Love that they offer 6mo special not 3 mo. Now my favorite was they have a business center for all customers for free. Includes Wi-Fi, Laptop hookup connection, eight private work areas, printer,fax,scanner. A separate private business conference room with executive table and chairs, fresh coffee station and a play room for your children so you can get down to business. Nice facility for storage. My only grip was they quoted me a very high price. Then I mentioned yelp and I got a little off the original high price. Then I shopped around and got really good pricing from other local storage units. Some that you didn't need to negotiate. After I was done narrowing my search done, I decided to call again. I said this is the best offer I could get around the area. So then the property manager said he would match the price. Based on that price with this facility it was a no brainer. This is one of the nicest, largest, and cleanest storage in the area. I would do your research and talk to Tim, the dood in charge. He has the authority to negotiate. In the end, he basically told me if your searching solely on pricing we can match with other facilities comparable to the area. Also your belongings will not get dust here since the facility is newer, cleaner, and has good venting. The only concerned I had was there were no air conditioning but Tim explained their venting system and it's pretty cool inside. He was totally right. read more

You would get locked in if you are not out by 7:00 pm sharp! I tried to exit at 7:01 and the gate would not open, I dialed the "emergency number" posted at the gate and got the answer machine asking me to leave a message. Frustrating! The reception is nicer than at other storage facilities. The area is clean and aired conditioned and the receptionist is friendly. However, the storage area is very much like at any other place, except for the fact that the hallways are extremely narrow. I would recommend this place only if you use the Yelp coupon and if you need the moving truck. I ended up paying about $70 dollars for one month after they applied the coupon and they allow me to use their truck for free for 30 miles. read more

They were very friendly and helpful. I let them know what I was planning on storing and they made the perfect suggestion on storage space. The best part is the prices. I felt that it was very reasonable especially considering the cleanliness of everything. You can tell they pride themselves on appearance and cleanliness. Another great feature is that they have two loaner moving vans. I borrowed a van just a few minutes after signing my lease agreement and a few hours later I was all finished moving in. We opened a storage account at I-5 Self Storage. We had been paying a very high rate at another storage facility. We contacted the front office and Brian, the office manager was courteous, professional and helpful. The price that he quoted was excellent. We would have a great savings each month at I-5 Self Storage. We were able to use their moving van for free to move. They have industrial carts and shredding onsite. We are so happy that we are now keeping our valuable storage possessions at I-5 Self Storage. The facility is clean, beautiful, modern, well-maintained and secure. I have never used a storage facility before . This was my first experience. We bought new furniture and had it stored at i5 Storage in Tustin. I bought and paid for my locks and for Insursnce to protect our property. On the day of move,. our keys to our storage unit were misplaced. We purchased these keys and the lock hence it was our property, as were the contents in the unit. Not only we did not receive assistance ftom this facility to get our ock open. They insisted that after I sign the form, only someone they call, will be permitted to help with my own lock. Ron was uncooperative saying that his people will not be there until Tuesday " ( 4 days away )...... When I explained that it was not a good day for me , and it must be done over the weekend, he showed no regard . In speaking to other storage facilities , they expressed that this was ridiculous . " We do it all the time, and we do have someone on hand to get into our storage units in cases of emergencies," a direct quote from Public Storage. Another storage facility owner said " They must have someone on hand to help get in to the units " There are situations wherein customers experience a medical emergency, do not return, and in some cases a non payment ". " Not having anyone on hand to open a lock is absurd ". End quote. Not only they did not assist and offer to prolong it for 4 days, after we had brought professionals in the industry to assist - they took to yelp with attacks and falsities . This was our furniture and our lock paid by for by my company. Indeed their desire to stall, be uncooperative, defame my character was greater than their desire to help. Absolutely do not trust those people . I highly recommend Public Storage as they ate in every city, have longer hours and provide assistance at all times, abd on site . read more

This place has been the biggest God-send. I originally got one unit and was super happy with the service. I recently had to get another unit while I'm moving homes. Corbyn R. Has been there both times. The first time, I lost a key to a cart, and he gave me extra time to find it. The second thing is that I needed to drill out a lock for my unit, and he did it for me. This place has been super helpful, caring, and understanding. They're always finding the best way to help me save money and make this season of transition easier. I researched quite a few places to store my things and came across I-5 and the pricing seemed very reasonable to me. I made a reservation and was called by Sarah within about 10 minutes. Sarah was professional yet friendly and kind, providing me with all the information I needed. I went in the following day to get my unit and was helped by Corby. He was very helpful and very friendly, explaining everything about the unit and costs very clearly and patiently. I didn't feel rushed at all. He showed me the unit and gave me tips on times that were a bit less crowded. What I really liked is that he gave me an option of the unit as there were one of two left. It was really a pleasure to speak with Sarah and Corby because I felt like I wasn't just a customer but someone they casually chatted with. Also there's a lot of other services that they provide, like document shredding for example. The unit was clean and easy to get my things moved in. I like the surveillance and he security of the location and the pricing is really great for the size of the unit I got. I feel like I made a great decision going with I-5. read more

This place is super clean, air conditioned, the girls are so friendly, and they have complimentary WiFi. To gain entry into the facility you must have a personal code that is assigned to you when you sign up. The elevator to go to your unit, is accessed the same way. It doesn't smell gross and moldy in there and they have complimentary dollies you can use to push all your heavy stuff. It's such a breeze to come in and out of there and they even have a little kids play room in the office. It's conveniently located near the Marketplace and I love that isn't not located in a questionable area. They have cameras everywhere and a ton of parking by the way. read more

This company has been a lifesaver for me. They made it easier for me to transition from a storage unit in Long Beach to this location (Irvine/Tustin) I was shown several units and found a 7.5 X 10 unit that was able to fulfill my needs. The sign up process went well. My problems began when the moving people I had to move my things flaked out several times on me. What also didnt help was that I reserved the companys van (i-5 storage) to do the move which was available at no cost & the van wasnt available because the van was kept overnight by a previous user & didnt return the van until the next afternoon, which totally screwed up my move. I already had the movers here & they werent happy the move had to be postponed. After the movers flaked the 2nd time, I got another couple of people to help me move. The office help, specifically Corbyn & Maria were very understanding given all the stress that I was going through. We finished the move on 7/12 and just this past saturday made sure there no problems with terminating the contract in LB this past weekend. The office staff (i-5) informed the owner of the complex and to help ease the burden of the move credited me some of the costs of the movers. As I already had the first 3 months at half off, I basically got the storage unit rent free for the first 3 months. The experience moving in with i-5 storage has been a good one & I totally recommend them to anyone looking rent a unit. I only regret missing out on the $10 credit for this review...LOL read more

I was shopping around for a storage unit in the Irvine area and spoke to Maria over the phone to ask for a quote. She was so helpful and was able to find me the best deal as I am renting both storage unit and an outdoor parking spot. The facility is brightly lit and clean. I chose I-5 Storage because they had the right size unit for me at a good rate. They have handy carts, free of charge, that enable efficient moving of items from vehicle to unit. All you have to do is check them out. Also, the unit is clean, secure, and in a safe location. The desk staff are friendly and helpful. Wish the office hours were open earlier to check out the carts, but at least the gate access is early. It is very nice that there is a bathroom and water in the office for customer use. read more

I am extremely upset and disappointed by the way that I was treated by the manager Richard who has been there 5 months. I have rented a storage space from I5 since 2009 (over 2 years) and was treated like my business did not matter! One of the reasons that I decided to store my items at their facility is because they advertised free use of their rental truck for move in and move out. I was happy to use the truck to move in because I was going through a divorce and had to move it all myself. I called yesterday to ask to reserve the truck for move out. Richard told me that I was unable to do so. They changed the policy and the truck was for move in only. I was never updated of the policy and had been told by the manager before him that I could use the truck upon move out. He said that the truck was getting wear and tear, duh, that's what happens when you drive a vehicle. So I am furious, it will cost me now to have to go and rent a truck out for moving my items. Plus, they add rent increases for the same service! I have been paying increased rent with the idea that I would still be able to use the truck on move out. This is disgraceful customer service and i will make sure that everyone knows how lousy they are at I5. Richard would not give me the name of the owner of the company nor the phone number or email address for the regional manager Ruben. He told me to send an email to him and he would forward it on to Ruben. As if he would actually do that. I have never been treated so poorly and I will ensure that NO ONE that I know ever goes near that place. Plus the rates are higher than other comparable facilities, so why would I ever use them again? You lost a customer I5 and you will lose many more because of this.
