My family and I are currently going through a transition with my father's personal needs. It's not like he's incompetent or anything, he just needs a little help here and there. The only problem is he has so much pride that it's just too hard for him to reach out and let us know the things he needs. I came in early today to give this place a look around. The lady that was working was exceptionally nice. Fully knowledgable in their products and if not, she'd tell me straight up and look up the correct answer. I told her my situation - that my dad is too proud to let my mother or I know what he's been having difficulties with. She suggested to take one of their books and let my dad look through it. To let him get familiar with the items that they sell and be observant of what he's interested in. She too was going through the same issue as I was and she practically coached me in how to approach touchy topics with my father. "Safety is and always will be number one." They have walkers, chairs, pillows, bathtub rails, and so much more. I'm very thankful that Fairfield has this type of store because i recently purchased a c-pap pillow and a handle bar that goes into the door jam to help get out of cars through the internet and that was a horrible night mare. A couple of years ago my elderly mother purchased a walker with a seat. She decided to upgrade to one with a couple more features. They told her they would charge her the difference. My mother didn't realize that it would be almost $200 more. The entire cost was over $400 for a walker. And the amount wasn't made clear to her at the time of purchase. Mom didn't know until her charge on her statement. My mother felt it was elder abuse to be charged that much for a walker. We tried to talk to someone but it was no use. The guy said that it was the set price but everywhere else we looked, comparable walkers were so much cheaper. If we didn't want it then we could only exchange it for something else. I Feel Good Medical Outlet gave me excellent service on my new Drive Scooter I purchased over Amazon in April. George was very thorough & knowledgable about the Scooter. I had only used it 3 times & it totally stopped on me. He pointed out to me that I had received the incorrect charger from Amazon when it was shipped to me. My son had an operation with some open wounds that need to be packed every day until they closed up. Kaiser did not send us home with enough talking and materials to do this and to take care of it properly. On the third morning, we found that we needed a lot more packing tape for his wounds. It didn't start out to be a very good Father's Day and the only place we could find open was I FEEL GOOD MEDICAL in Fairfield. Not only were they open for a few hours on Sunday, they had absolutely everything for wound care not to mention for every other kind of care that you can imagine. Didn't even say a word to me when she handed me my bag when I purchased a pair of medical scissors. I've called asking a simple question about a product they may sale. I woman answered saying she doesn't know can't get the information and that I need to wait for a call back. Ummm this I feel could have been handled by asking the sales associate who may know but apparently she can't because she works in a different department in the same store might I not add. But she does tell me it's sold there but she doesn't know where to locate it. Then she suggested I drive down to see it. Finally I receive a call back from the brilliant sales associate who doesn't have a clue what I'm talking about, to only tell that they DO NOT sale the product. I needed a hospital bed for my mother-in-law who was getting out of the hospital the very next day on Saturday. Nobody was able to deliver a bed until the following Monday. I recently had to help my parent with purchasing suppression stockings and decided to support a local business here in town. I decided to give I feel Good Medical a try. It's been a month now and I still haven't gotten the product. Every time I call there's an issue and no resolution. Either they are on back order, or they aren't sure where the order is. This is something that they keep in stock, not something special ordered. I'm very disappointed in the level of customer service. They have definitely lost a repeat customer. Way overpriced! My husband went here trying to support local business and ended up getting ripped off! He wanted to buy a mask for CPR. He bought the one they had which was $50! Everywhere else they are between $10-15. When he went to return it, they wouldn't give him his money back. How they have been in business for 18 years is beyond me.
