The parts were all in stock so I didn't have to wait for anything to ship. I was able to attend the pc build camp with Grey to put it all together with his expert advice. It was a super fun experience and I learned a lot in the process. Best part was that they were so friendly. We built a beauty of a rig that I'm super proud of and will enjoy looking at everyday. Online it said their Carlsbad location was able to repair HDMI ports on the Xbox when the Xbox is still working but the signal from the HDMI isn't. They cracked the new screen they installed and made me pay for the repair before I saw how badly the new screen was cracked!!! I bought my grandson an expensive DJI drone which he crashed the 2nd flight and cracked the plastic housing he camera. I brought it to Carlsbad Repair Center and they said they could fix it for a whopping $275.00. I thought this was really high, but went ahead and paid a $79.00 deposit. They called a few days later and said due to some kind of software upgrade that they couldn't repair it. They suggested I buy a "refurbished model" on Amazon (which would cost $300+). I picked it up, and they kept my $79. I then shipped it to DJI. They fixed it for $100, including parts, labor and shipping. So I wasted a week and $79.00 on Carlsbad Repair Center. Awesome! Super responsive, when my TV stopped powering on, I reached out to Mike. Not only was he able to quickly come out for a service call, he advised me to check on my purchase, and sure enough since I purchased via credit card, there was an extended warranty service on the TV, which I bought in October 2019. Just under the wire! Once I got the claim filed with my CC company, I got the requested documentation together, and had Mike come out for the last remaining piece. Not only did he diagnose the problem in under 10 minutes, he did so honestly at the expense of charging the warranty company significantly more (Replacing the power transformer, instead of just a pinched power cord) I wouldn't hesitate to call him again for any other electronics repair needs! The COVID protocols continue to hold to is unnecessary and a bit of an inconvenience but I assume that will end very soon. Very poor service. I dropped off my drone, a DJI mavic pro that had been damaged in a crash, they did state that they could not guarantee a crashed drone. However they never contacted me until I contacted them and they told me it had been repaired. Picked up and camera still doesn't work! I thought I could trust them and I paid them $150, figured they would test what they repair. Person doing the repair is never available they tell me he works by night. And person you talk to has no idea, anyway drone still doesn't work and I'm out $150. I had a previous repair/install that ended up being a major hacked job with super glue stuck all over the inside of my laptop because the repair person broke it while trying to install the back cover plate. They were able to get rid of the glue and rebuilt the back cover and custom installed it with new screws; the old ones were stripped. I had a corrupt Windows install so they backed up my data and reinstalled Windows; had to do that 2X to get it to work but they only charged me for one installation.
