Ate here for lunch and it was decent! There is plenty of indoor seating, and at this hour, pretty much every table was available. We started off with a few appetizers: fried calamari, fried shrimp, and tofu rolls. The calamari was a little bland but tasted fine when dipped in the sweet & sour sauce. They score the squid so the calamari comes in cute shapes instead of the typical rings. The fried shrimp was perfectly crispy and really tasty -- my favorite dish I ate here. The tofu in the rolls was a little bland as well but it was very fresh. I ordered the small pho special, and the portion size is good; I thought they gave a good amount of steak/brisket. Soup came out hot but could have also used a little more salt in my opinion. It's worth noting that the service here is great. I've been meaning to stop by this place and try it out in person and I finally did. The food tasted even better in person and their menu is very different from all other pho places. When I walked in the restaurant the atmosphere filled with fine, aromatic soup smell right off the bat. As I quickly glanced through their custom menu, I saw some very interesting appetizers others places didn't offer. I went with pho dac biet, spring rolls and steamed wontons. As you can see, I didn't get a chance to take a photo of the Pho, because by the time I remembered, it had already been eaten in my stomach. All the veggies are fresh and healthy. Ugh... I'm so, so, so disappointed with my food experience here. Yup, the food. Heck, I'm shook, I just don't know where to begin. I had forgotten the WHY it was I hadn't patronized this place in years... Service was nice. Location & indoor seating ok too. It was the food that was lackluster. I guys everyone one fired things differently. Ordered tofu- it was chopped in cubes and bland. Wasn't sautéed or stir fried. Egg rolls were good. Shrimp in the shrimp fried rice was bland and flavorless. The rice seemed OK. The pho was very watered down minimal amount of ingredients (meats) bag of greens minimal too. Ugh, their version of iced tea coffee was absolutely terrible. Strong taste of chemical and artificial not natural tasting. I will NOT be returning. read more

ILOVEPHO. It's a great name for great food. I love all the dry pho dishes. The dishes are truly made with LOVE. You'll want to order a few dishes and not just pho. The wraps are delightful and a good appetizer to start with. I love the Thai Tea here with extra ice. Service: friendly and attentive when dining in. For pick up, they haven't missed anything yet. Food: Pho is hit or miss. I've had times where the broth was very rich and tasty and times where it was very underwhelming. They literally give you like 5-6 tiny pieces of meat which is BS. Lol. All other Pho spots in Oxnard have large pieces of meat and provide a nice amount. I get full off a bowl from any other Pho spot in the area but here I feel like i need more. Even the amount of noodles in the bowl is light. (And I'm comparing price to amount) Chicken wings were terrible. To me it seems like the wings were pre-cooked (boiled) and then when ordered they batter them and then throw them in the fryer (and not even long enough). They were soggy and held a lot of oil. So i suggest checking your oil temp before you throw them into the fryer or raise your current temp 10-15°s. The wings were also B L A N D. Like not a hint of salt, pepper, or any other seasons AT ALL. Spring rolls and summer rolls are good, can't really F those up. Fried tofu was good, i mean it's fried tofu so nothing to rave about. Broken rice plates are good as well. Still say go and try it for yourself. I always eat at a place multiple times before i fully have an opinion on it. I'm sure I'll find myself back here since it's down the street but I'll be sure to adjust my orders accordingly. read more

Went here on a Sunday afternoon and it was an overall great experience. Only eaten here once before a couple years back but this time was impressionable. My girlfriend and I both ordered Pho, she got the small and I got the big bowl and both were a good size and tasted bomb af. The service was great too. The guy who was attending us really kept up with whatever we needed and was more than helpful with accommodating our order. Finally tried out I Love Pho. Been wanting to come here since I usually drive past it when I drop off & pick up my son from school. It's located near Fitness 19 near the Walgreens on Rose & Channel Islands. Parking is kind of a bummer. It's a good sized lot except there are several other businesses & restaurants beside the gym. It was about 710pm. I had to park at the Walgreens parking lot which seemed kind of iffy due to it having a 30 minute time limit. I figured it wouldn't take longer than that. My son & I walked in & saw a couple & a baby in the empty restaurant. They have a big tv that was on playing "Fresh Prince" at the time (715pm) lol. A young man came to give us a menu & take our drink orders. Then he comes back with our waters & we both order (#40 Seafood w/ Rice Noodle & #35 Seafood w/ Egg Noodle). A girl comes & delivers my sons order but says the wrong #, then comes back with my SOUP but says the wrong #. I had told her she had switched our #'s. She looks at us then our table & says enjoy. (Im thinking she doesn't know the menu items too well). She comes back & asks if things are ok, while looking at our SOUPS & table again. But doesn't realize she didnt give us our bean sprouts that are supposed to come before we get our food or along with our food. So all along, I was assuming they didn't serve that. Midway eating my soup the young man comes by & asks if everything is ok. I ask "Do you not serve the veggies w/ the soup here?" & he's like, "You mean the bean sprouts. Oh yeah we do. Oh you didn't get it?" & he apologizes. I then told him I will take the bean sprouts To-Go, along w/ the rest of my remaining soup. He then tells the chick that she didnt give it to us. Let's get to the food. My soup looked appetizing. From what I read from other yelpers their broth is a hit or miss. The broth was pretty bland. Which I didnt mind, bec I usually dump sriracha & chili paste in my soup. But even when I squirted sriracha in my soup, it seemed like it was lacking something. I didnt like how the table chili paste looked. I wasnt sure if the color seemed right. I also kinda lost my appetite after I ate the shrimp. It didn't taste too fresh or maybe it was overcooked. Even my son said it tasted weird, so he didnt even eat them. Maybe I shoulda started here w/ the basic house soup. Maybe, maybe, just maybe if we decide to come back here, then we shall try that. So I ordered from this place last night, I hadn't eaten here in maybe 2-3 years, it's the closest pho from where I live. Well I was reading the reviews and damn, I hate being right in negative situations but some of the reviews here were spot on. I'm giving it a 2 star rating because the veggie rolls were bomb, but the Pho was bland and they shortened one of the orders noodles. The broth literally has no flavor. None and that's what makes soul taste good, is the broth. If I come back here again, it's only gonna be for a quick bite of the veggie rolls. Ok, so I decided to try a new pho place, and let me tell you... I was very disappointed. Let me start of by saying that we were not allowed to choose our table??? I ordered the Tofu Spring Rolls: Basic, not tightly wrapped & the peanut sauce was not flavorful & runny I also ordered the veggie pho w/the veggie broth: YA'LL! there was a bug in my soup :( but i still decided to try because i was starving, the Tofu had a spongy texture i did not like. The soup itself was very bland & overall just not pleasing to my mouth so, i couldn't finish it. My boyfriend got the shrimp fried rice & said it crispy but was flavorless & bland also. The only good thing about this place is that they were playing Thor:Ragnarok. read more

A solid Pho place to add to my go to places. The Pho was very good. If I was in the area and had a craving for Pho, I would be here. The small was more than enough to keep me full!!! There were also the spring rolls, without the shrimp since I am allergic, and they had no problem with my request. This brings an important part of the review: the customer service was excellent!!! The young gentleman that served us was very attentive, polite, and respectful. Finally, we had the very much talked about fried ice cream. Overall it was very good!! The owner himself, I assumed, served us and we went through it quickly!!! It was a great experience and I felt everything was affordable. Springs rolls, a coke, a bowl of Pho, and fried ice cream came to less than $23?!?! Yep, what a great deal for quality food!! I finally had a chance to sit and eat in I Love Pho. After drooling over the menu for many minutes, ( there are many items I want to try) I decided to get the Salmon Fried Rice. My meal looked amazing. There was a nice sized filet of salmon (cooked to perfection), presented over a bed of fried rice and along side of some broccoli and carrot slices. SO TASTY! Oh... I forgot to mention the salmon was tasted very fresh! I will gladly go back here often to try many other meals. read more
