Greater promptly and friendly. We had the shrimp only #3 Spring Rolls. Hubby had 31B, Chicken & Basil over brown rice. I had the #38 Crispy noodles, shrimp only and lots of veggies. Where have they been hiding all the time I've lived in Ventura County?? I've heard people recommending them, and I finally made it over. Holy cow, they are delicious! Their Pho Combination Soup was the perfect choice for our first time here because it let us try a variety of their different meats in the soup. And their bowls are HUGE. I got a regular and still had a bunch of leftovers to take home. We also ordered their pork belly loaded fries off-menu. Let me tell you - their pork belly is phenomenal - tender and flavorful. From coming here looking for pho to leaving and knowing that I will 100% order these fries again was unexpected but definitely a wonderful surprise. Didn't order drinks while we were here, but they also offer a full bar. Heard they offer Happy Hour, so that might be something to look into if you're interested. Service was efficient but friendly. For the selections we made, all the sauces and flavorings are on the sweet side (almost like a bbq sauce; even in the pho broth). Great prices. Really yummy food. It seemed as though our bartender really needed more support from coworkers standing around talking to each other. She was very busy for happy hour and stated her stress a few times. She was definitely working harder than the rest of the room. So many hands on deck it was hard to watch. What seemed like a manager was just sitting for the longest time at the bar & then went to the register to finish his day. We would go back, just maybe not on a Friday happy hour. The employees are passive and unwelcoming, as if you're bothering them by being there, the one girl is kind but seemed bothered I ordered a coconut because it's hard to open.. seems this place has a high turnover, and you shouldn't have something done if you're not able to... I ordered a banh mi as well. Asked for extra pate and the sandwich was soggy on the bottom, I called about the pate and they said the chef put it on the sandwich instead of extra on the side, which would be totally fine if that was the case but almost none was on there and then treated me like a liar. We stumbled upon here looking for some Asian food mainly for some sort of noodles. We had the pork belly buns, calamari, pho with meatballs and steak and the basil chicken dish. Pork belly was delicious and the pork was soft. The calamari felt fresh and not dry. Wish the pho had more steak but the broth and noodles were delicious. The basil chicken over fried rice was also good. But the chicken was not very soft. Service was good! Fast, responsive and good customer service. We have a child and the host sat us down, asked about water and specifically asked for the baby. Ambience is casual and clean. It is also a bar so has the bar aesthetics as well. The evening started off nice, we were seated right away. And we ordered the Pho with filet mignon. The flavor was just average and you barely get any meat. It was also thin and shriveled up. We also ordered the fried calamari which wasn't too bad. We also tried the spicy garlic chicken wings which were basically just regular chicken wings covered in that spicy chili sauce you can buy at the store. Not impressed. It had been years since I came here and thought I'd give it another try. Nothing has changed decor and food wise unfortunately. We went on a Friday evening and were immediately seated. This time during dinner we had an incident in which there was a accident with a sauce cup falling and the sauce flying every where by our server. But the server, manager and owner were so kind and apologetic and made everything right. The owner is such a cool down to earth guy. This was the second time we went to Basil and Mint - and I'll continue to make the stop whenever I head to Santa Barbara. I had the pork Bahn Mi sandwich and it was so flavorful and delicious. We haven't been here in a year or two and came in tonight (a Friday) and sat at the bar. We started off with the shrimp and pork spring rolls. Pork was really dry but the peanut sauce was great. I had the soft rice noodle stir fry. Great portion size and good flavor. My husband had the #33 fried rice combo. He enjoyed his meal as well. The manager and the gentleman who was running around doing everything made our visit much more pleasant. We were about 30 seconds from walking out at first due to the bartender blatantly ignoring us at first picking up his phone and talking to his friends showing them pictures for 5 minutes. First of all, I had to drag my family here because they "don't like Vietnamese food." BS, but that's a bigger story my therapist can unpack. We came on a Sunday afternoon. It was not peak lunch time so it was very quiet, and we got a great spot outside in the shade. Service was great and very friendly. Not pushy or overly chatty. Just nice. Food was STUPID GOOD. Like... stupid good. I thoroughly enjoyed the oxtail pho - the broth was delicious and just needed a bit of sriracha to be perfect for me. I got wonton soup as a safe bet for my mom, which she really loved as well. It was quite good, but I wasn't here for wonton soup. Appetizers were great. Crunchy fried rolls and refreshing spring rolls. Peanut sauce was on point. Combo plate with shrimp and chicken... yum yum yum! Fried rice was delicious. Basil chicken was phenomenal! I wish I got one to go. Every sip of the iced coffee was perfect... I dream of it! And the mochi ice cream was yummy. I used to come here 2-3x/week when I lived in Camarillo. Full drink menu and diverse food menu that caters to all! Lots of vegan options! I ordered the vegan lemongrass chicken and I swore it was the real thing. I went back inside to tell them there was a mistake and the chef came out to talk to me to reassure me! It was THAT close in taste. Not to mention, it was delicious! The broth for the soups here are like no other I have tasted besides Pho Saigon in Port Hueneme. The appetizers are especially excellent and the service is up there, too! There is a lot of seating and the interior is modern and inviting. The parking lot can be iffy so just plan accordingly. Walking in on a sunny noon in Camarillo, this little gem is tucked deep in the corner and recess of this plaza. However, rough areas often produces the most beautiful gem. This place is no exception. I am surprised that while it is run by a primarily non-Asian staff, the food is SPECTACULARLY MADE. As a Vietnamese, I could tell that the food here is authentic and comparable to even your mom's cooking! The real culinary gem of this restaurant lies within the item: filet mignon or com Bo luc lac (literally quivering or shaking beef -- due to the process it is made). This dish features tender cubes of beef that is on a bed of rice with amazing dark sauce and caramelized onions. This is supplemented with salad that includes a vinegrette dressing which made for the ultimate dish. The taste lingers in your mouth long after you're gone. The staff here is amazing and attentive to your needs. They are very patient even when mistakes are made and as such, this place deserves the highest of stars! The interior decor with Vietnamese lunar new year is beautiful so it is unique to see this place go through the effort of being inclusive of cultures along with red envelopes. Make sure to check in for your 2 free egg rolls! They're crispy on the outside, and soft with pork, wood ear mushrooms (?), and carrot on the inside. They came out hot, so it was a great start to our meal. We got the large combination pho and the chicken fried rice, and both were great! While the pho broth isn't the most amazing I've ever had, the pho doesn't skimp on any of the ingredients, and the taste is pretty solid. This is our go-to when we go to the outlet nearby, so we've seen pretty consistently that they provide a generous portion of meat in their pho. The tendon here is also soft! The chicken in the chicken fried rice isn't just plain chicken - it's definitely been marinated/seasoned well. This was a solid dish, too! Service is just frequent enough, so we haven't had any issues there either. We'll definitely continue coming back! I'm definitely noting their 3-5pm happy hour with $7 drinks. :) read more

On the east coast, I've typically been out of luck finding vegetarian options, especially pho. Coming to California showed that vegetarian Vietnamese food is very possible! We ordered a bunch of items, including the vegetarian egg rolls and the seaweed rolls. Apparently, Yelp allowed me to receive free egg rolls upon checking in to the restaurant, except it was only two. For our group, that didn't make much sense. That aside, the steal of the show was the lemongrass vegan chicken. I don't eat a lot of fake meat, but this didn't remind me of chicken. It was well cooked. The serving size was huge though, I wasn't able to finish my meal. I tried a bit of the vegetarian curry pho. However, that serving size was also huge. We probably should've shared some of the meals. The place itself isn't fancy at all. It gives the vibe of a diner a bit, but with dope Vietnamese food. That certainly helps. read more

oh my... the service was horrible :/ we got seated immediately because the only had like 5 tables filled and it took 20-30 minutes for a server to even ask us for our drink orders and even then the food took forever to be served. there were so many servers walking around so the lack of workers was not an issue but they were all talking and laughing with each other we honestly should've just left. as for the food we got a banh mi and it was good nothing special and the pho was fine there are better pho broths out there, the flavor was good and sweet even with all the extra spices that were added in, a spicy pho option on the menu would be nice.
