A very solid 3 stars for this place. I have been a regular at Pho Saigon for a while now and when I heard that there's a new pho place closer by I had to go check it out. My boyfriend and I got seated right away and my first impression was that it was pretty clean & the decor is not much different from other Pho places around. For appetizers I got shrimp spring rolls, I was thinking about getting the crepes as well because it was on the menu.. But they didn't have it. For entrees we got the Pho Dac Biet and shrimp fried rice and for drinks I got coconut juice. The spring rolls tasted okay; however, it was very tough. For the pho...the portion size is very good; although the soup was a bit cold when we got it so that might have changed the flavor of the soup. The broth by itself is decent, but with a little help from hoisin sauce, sriracha and a bit of lime it was good. Nothing to really rave about. The shrimp fried rice was cold as well and the portion size was small. It was just okay. The star of my visit was my drink, I'm used to getting coconut juice from Pho Saigon so naturally I got it here too. I wasn't expecting much, but they came out with a real coconut! I loved it so much I could not get enough! I wanted to try a rice plate there, but they did not have broken rice so I was pretty disappointed. Maybe to other people it wouldn't tasted different, but for me who grew up in Vietnam and always had a rice plate with broken rice and pork chops can taste the different between broken rice and regular rice. I'm loving the location because it adds another option to the mix of fast food in this neighborhood. The pho with flank steak I had from here was average. I feel like there could have been more slices of steak in my bowl. The egg rolls on the other hand were freaking good. Fried to perfection, not too oily and a greater meat to veggie ratio. The servers here could brush up on their service. Check on your tables more often. They're a new establishment so they are still working out the kinks in service - don't expect much. Takeout took 30 minutes. Got home and I was disappointed with the TINY portion size for the calamari and the pork spring rolls lacked meat. Boyfriend ordered lychee boba which also came with lychee jelly- this drink didn't taste like lychee tasted like sugar though. V84. Pho Chay- Vegetarian rice noodle soup with tofu and veggies. Pretty bland and boring, lacks flavors, wish they had more variety of vegetables and more tofu. Noodles were decent. V88. Mi Xao Mem Rau Cai Dau Hu- Sauteed veggies and tofu with egg noodles. Didn't really like or care for the type of noodles they used reminded me more of a pasta noodle. Used to flatter egg noodles not noodles that reminded me of fettuccine. Needed more vegetables and tofu- very sparse. The vegetables tasted kind of sour like not as fresh. Sauce was the best thing and that isn't even worth me going back, since it was good but not amazing. Vegan egg rolls were also alright, wasn't a fan of what was inside really- weird textures which were like scrambled eggs (probably like vegetarian/vegan meat substitutes). I didn't really get any distinguishable vegetable- it looked like everything was grounded up. it came with was alright, don't really remember it. Service was decent they came by to check up a few times. Over all- okay. Not really worth going back for, especially not got boba. Note: 2-2.5 stars First time coming here and it has a huge sign with under new management out front as well as decorative Halloween decorations. Since I've never tried them before, I don't know if it's any different, but the place is pretty empty for a normal Saturday lunch time. Very festive as the staff was dressing up for Halloween as well. It was a warmer day than usual so I opted for a bun (vermicelli). My order is B66 - grilled (charboiled) beef with vermicelli (bun). The food comes out at a decent pace and the portions are modest. A good amount of each is given except for the fish sauce. The fish sauce was also very weak and not very potent tasting of the lime, garlic, chili, and fish sauce taste. Anyways, the bun isn't bad, but it's also confusing and just about average. I say this because I've always had the bun as a cold noodle dish. The noodles used for this bun were warm and not chilled. In addition, I've usually had crisp vegetables such as carrots, cucumber, and lettuce. This lacked the cucumbers and the vegetables are not crisp at all. These have been prepared ahead of time and been in the refrigerator for too long that they have lost the crunch. Instead of cucumber, they give caramelized onions, which I thought was different and not necessarily what I would want for a bun. The green onions had a nice crunch to it, but I think the pieces were prepared without a care on how they look since the pieces were all unevenly cut. Similarly, the crushed peanuts were crushed without a care for consistency - some pieces were larger than others or became finely crushed. Lastly, the grilled pork was bad. Not burnt and savory to be had. Overall, kind of average and makes it hard for me to justify coming all the way out here for another try. If I am in the area, I might give them another try for something else or a similar item. Side-note: I had to be confirmed of what I ordered vs the number I ordered. The staff that took the order came back to confirm I wanted B66 - grilled beef with egg roll and I was confused, because #66 is what I ordered, but it doesn't come with eggroll. Number 67 does. Confused, but the order comes out correct and it doesn't have the eggroll. A little skeptical as to whether the staff know their own menu or not. Of the people I went with, they had a Thai Ice tea and they both returned the drink as it tasted weird to them. To me, it lacks the tea taste and just tasted sweet. For some reason, I tasted red beans in it. There is a drink that uses condensed milk with red beans and I think that the condensed milk they were using for the Thai tea is contaminated with that. So earlier in the week my GF ordered this for me for delivery tasted great so I wanted to try it at the shop. .Walked in stood for a bit since the employees were chit chatting then we get greeted and seated. Tables were dirty , sauce cups were dirty, even the bottles of fish sauce house and siracha were dirty. Checked the cups as well same. Made an order for light noodle extra meat just rare and well meat. Got extra noodle and light meat with tendon and told the server. "No charge for the extra noodle and the meat the chef said they put extra." Normal meat from Pho Saigon is far more. Even my delivery had more meat than what I ordered. Heading home Monday (holiday) evening from our trip from the Bay with my friend, I wanted to go to my usual spot, which is Pho Saigon. Unfortunately, they're closed on Mondays, so we had to look for another spot as my friend was in the mood for soup. We came across I Love Pho and I remember through various social media outlets of them gaining some notoriety for their "Mega Pho" challenge. So we decided to give this place a shot as by the time we would be close, we would have about an hour to eat and continue on our way home. On our arrival, we noticed that there was only one other small group (family more than likely) dining which struck us as odd because it was still dinner time and to see the place was empty was a bit concerning. We tried to order an appetizer but was told it wasn't available (I think because they were getting ready to close, but it was one item, but I digress). I ordered the Pho Dac Biet and had them add meatballs to it. The flavor of the broth was fine, but I've had a richer and more flavorful broth from other restaurants locally. The noodles were al Dente which some would prefer, but I personally enjoy mine more on the softer side, but not soggy. The meats were OK, but felt they skimped on it. Overall I would come back and give this place another try, more than likely another dish, but there is room for improvement and hopefully it does on my next visit. read more

Our server also said she had to check to see if they had all the ingredients... these are some of the essential ingredients in Vietnamese restaurants! What?! Ordering Togo's from here are phenomenal and now they deliver with Grubhub and DoorDash so another reason to order here. I love this place. It's close to work so I normally visit during my lunch hour. They're never too busy and if ever I'm in a rush I call in my order and they have it ready to eat once I arrive. I usually order the #14 which is the rare steak pho. I always get extra lemon because I like lemon on everything. I've also tried the spring rolls which are very filling and pretty tasty. The owner, wait staff, and cooks are all personable and always ensure that I am happy with my order. They're offering free soda as their opening give away, but we got iced coffee, which i think needed a little bit more coffee and less condensed milk. For appetizers we got the eggrolls with lettuce, I didn't like the fact that we're paying 2 dollars extra for 3 pieces of lettuce, with some pickled carrots and you're missing the daikon. The eggrolls were good and big enough for 2, the dipping sauce is good too. For our mains, we got the Oxtail Pho and my bf got the Pho with well done flank, tendon and rare steak.
