Lunch Special - Fuji Set with Alaskan Roll
    Dean W.

Solid spot for lunch! Coworkers took me to I Luv Sushi Too for my first time for lunch this past week. I drive right past them almost everyday for my work commute, but usually, my experience with sushi-spots-with-gimmicky-names aren't great - so I was pleasantly surprised by how good this visit was! We stopped by a little after Noon on a weekday, and was greeted immediately upon entering. No wait - seated promptly. Probably about half the place was filled with other diners. The interior decor was tastefully decorated, noise level was moderate - we were able to hear each other at normal speaking voices. Huge menu with lots of options. They have several lunch specials ranging from $15 to $25 - good price for the quality of food you get here. I opted for the Fuji Set - which comes with five pieces of sushi over rice (2x tuna, 1x each of salmon, albacore, shrimp), and a half roll order of something from the Ninja Set - I picked the Alaskan roll, which is baked salmon, krab salad, and avocado. The Fuji Set lunch special also comes with miso soup and a side salad. Everything was fresh - the salad with the orange sauce dressing was great. The miso soup was a good palate cleanser. All pieces of sushi was fresh and the rice was perfectly moist and warm. Genuine sushi-grade rice. Alaskan roll was awesome too. Perfect proportions of filling to rice ratio. They were out of Topo Chico - but I think there's a shortage going on because one of the factories are shut down. I opted for Diet Coke as an alternative - while it was nicely carbonated, it lacked flavor. It had the caramel color and bubbles - but no diet coke flavor. It was like drinking brown, carbonated water. I could barely finish it. That's actually why I'm docking a star. One thing that stood out was the service. Apparently, my coworkers are regulars here, cuz one of the servers - Alan - stopped by and asked about the other two coworkers that normally join them. He was warm and welcoming when I was introduced as the "newbie" to the sushi spot (I usually bring my own lunch rather than go off-site and risk losing my perfect parking spot). Super friendly, genuine, and personable - he engaged in polite conversation with my coworkers as if they've known each other for ages! That's really an awesome thing to point out these days when service at most places are very face-value/surface level. Alan is definitely a great people-asset to this sushi spot! Parking is great - they have a private driveway and lot separate from the busy strip mall next door.

Went for an early Mother's Day Lunch with my kiddos. Had an order of sushi off the Happy Hour menu. My new favorite roll is the Fantastic, it was indeed, fantastic. The service, is always great. I appreciate that everyone is kind & attentive. Beer is nice, cold, & crisp, miso soup is hot & flavorful.

Most amazing sushi I've had in a really long time. We were just trying to find a solid sushi spot in the area with good variety on the menu and this place hit all the marks. The waiter recommended the Cincinnati roll and that might've been the most memorable, next to the volcano or the American Dragon. But truly all the rolls were amazing. The Thai tea was solid too. The workers were super attentive and helpful with any questions. Also, one of the cleanest restaurants I've been to- nice inside and clean bathrooms. This definitely is a new go to sushi spot!

Yeah I'm just trying to knock out all the sushi spots right now haha. Me and my cousin decided to check this place out before the movie at the Block. Parking really spacious so no problems there. We came in and was sat down immediately at a booth. Overall setting is pretty spacious too and the place had really nice bathrooms! Our server was quick and efficient and we opted to order a bunch of of sushi rolls. Our order did take quite awhile to come out. I think there was only one sushi chef working at the time so that could explain it. But when the rolls came out, everything looked really delicious! Also always order my go to salmon skin cut roll! Sushi was awesome! The fish to rice ratio was great and it all tasted fresh and delicious. The salmon skin roll though was only alright. I'm not sure of the seasoning poured on it but it was only good at best. Overall though this place was great! Not too far from the block and definitely a good option to get your sushi fix in!

We came here to watch the Seahawks vs. 49ers game instead of dealing with a noisy, crowded bar. At first, we were about to be seated at a table far from the TVs, so we let our server (I think her name was Allie) know that we were mainly there to watch the game and were hoping to sit closer to a screen. We noticed the bar seats in front of a TV were empty and asked if we could sit there. She initially mentioned there weren't any servers assigned to that area, but she kindly offered to seat us there anyway and said she would personally take care of us. That alone was really thoughtful, and we truly appreciated it. Every dish we ordered was delicious. The spicy miso soup was a larger-than-expected portion and came with great toppings, including shrimp. Since I mostly wanted appetizers to snack on during the game, I ordered the Firecracker and the LAPD - both featuring wonton chips topped with spicy tuna and sashimi. Super flavorful and perfect for sharing (or not). Overall, we had a wonderful experience. The staff was accommodating, the food was excellent, and it made for a great game-day spot. We'll definitely be back.

A lot of sushi options which I really like. Fish tasted really fresh, definitely some flavorful rolls as well. Solid options for appetizers. Overall food made me happy and full. Service was great, pretty solid people were serving me and friend. Got our drinks and food out fast thankfully. When I come visit Anaheim again, I will want to come again! It's a pretty big area, free parking space, and overall nice and friendly vibes on the inside of the restaurant. Highly recommending checking this place out if you're in the area and are craving sushi.

Konnichiwa set - Sumo, Sexy Girl, and Autumn rolls. This comes with miso soup and salad with ginger dressing. Yum!

We made it into Happy hour! And were so excited at the regular menu that we didn't order much from it, ha ha! The Holy Mooly wagyu beef special roll was so "out there" we had to try it. Three sauces? Honest server said people have either really liked it or didn't. We really liked it! My boss had the Ultimate Trio (winner!!!!) which had a huge serving of chicken teriyaki, rice, the normal sides, soup, three nigiri, and the most amazing tempura mix ever! Huge eggplant, kabocha pumpkin, carrot, and shrimp servings, with the right amount of panko crunch that didn't disintegrate in the yummy dipping sauce. He also had the edamame and a hand roll to start, so yes, he had lots of leftovers. (Thank goodness our hotel has a mini fridge and microwave.) I didn't think I could finish the Wagyu roll, gyoza, tuna poke (cubed tuna with cukes and a full meal, so thanks to our server, I opted for the kids meal. Oh my, I couldn't finish that either-it was a generous portion of the mixed tempura and chicken teriyaki, the latter saved for leftovers with the rice and a cup of extra teriyaki sauce, again, thanks to our server!). The decor is Halloween adorable and they have a gorgeous sushi bar. Lots of seating and spacious restrooms. Ample parking, too! Their menu (food and beverage) is so vast I hope you can view it all. Sorry, also didn't know there is picture limit.... Enjoy!

Great fish quality and decent prices for a sushi restaurant! They had lunch deals with hand rolls for weekday lunches!! Great service, and will return again!

On a last minute invite to grab dinner, a friend and I went to I Luv Sushi Too. Now at first I had high hopes. The hospitality was great, and the environment was comfortable and not overly loud. For the main, I chose the teriyaki beef. Although it had nice portions, it was actually a bit salty, and a little overcooked. Granted I know this isn't like a steakhouse beef, it was a bit over done. Nice portions though and could be just my dish. Now moving on to the sushi. I would suggest sticking to their sushi as that is what they are called. The salmon wasn't bad and good portions of fish. The soft shell crab was a bit soft in that it was lacking a bit of crispness in the batter. I would still suggest trying to rolls, and would probably go back again as they had a large variety. Enjoy...

I really wasn't sure if this would be an overpriced tourist trap for Disneyland but I actually thought it was great. We got PS roll, Sumo, and Crunch Roll...all good and tasty. We took Otto go so not sure about ambiance but to go service was very friendly.

Came for a birthday lunch for our daughter but I guess we should have made that more clear to the staff. Sushi is delicious , innovative and big portions for the lunch specials since you can mix and match half speciality rolls just brilliant! Everything was tasty and hope to come again to try more!

Do they take reservations for small groups or large groups?

Both of their menus are very similar, and you will see some same dishes across the two. We started off with their crispy kara-age (fried chicken) which is best eaten with a squeeze of lemon and dunked into their yummy garlicky, oniony dipping sauce. Always best eaten right out of the fryer, piping hot. You just can't go wrong with their most popular app. For starters, we also got their blistered shishito peppers, which comes with bonito flakes dancing from the steam of the peppers. If you've never had shishito peppers before, they are very very mild in spiciness, but be warned you'll always have one extra spicy pepper when you least expect it! For our main, we got the spicy beef udon, which comes simmering in its metal bowl atop a fire, keeping it hot as you enjoy it slowly. The red broth has a nice kick of heat, but not so spicy that it will irritate your throat. The slices of beef are oh so tender and flavorful. The rich broth clings on perfectly to the thick udon noodles. If you're sharing, plan on getting extra udon noodles to soak up all that delicious broth! At the end, drop the cheesy rice ball into the broth to make a congee, soaking up more of that delicious broth. The staff is welcoming and friendly, checking in at the right times and even offering bibs to help with the splashes of broth if you're a messy eater!
