I was looking for a boba place while at SkyZone for an event. Found this hole in the wall and decided to try it because it was close by and because of the reviews. There are small bites as well as larger plates but their drink menu is quite extensive. I ordered a mango tea with extra boba, extra mango and strawberry boba and extra rainbow jelly, each of the extras were $.50 each. I also ordered a mango tea with no extras. Both were ready within 10 minutes. The place is tiny and located in a large outdoor mall. There is plenty of parking but I could find any close to the store, even at 3pm on a Monday. There are about 10 small tables inside and no outside seating and it was not very busy when I got there. There was one person ahead of me and once I got to the counter they had my drinks all ready. I ordered online and I like the options of how much ice and sugar I wanted in my drink, I chose 30% sugar and 50% ice for both drinks and it was exactly as I like it. The drinks were refreshing and a pretty sight as well. The boba was not too sweet and the fruit jelly was chewy without being tough. The service was prompt, the people behind the counter were friendly. I will be going back! read more

I've actually went here twice before writing this review. This store is a perfect late night snack and meal location. The first time I went I got popcorn chicken, which was tasty, but I do wish that the garlic was cut into slices and cooked with the chicken. The second time I went, I got a Tonkatsu Ramen, which came out pretty quickly and was delicious. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. Found this hole in the wall next to Walmart grocery store. Went with my aunt and cousin who just moved here. The ambiance is quiet and clean. Staff was very polite you can order thru them or the kiosk. We ordered takoyaki, croquette,ramen tonkatsu, unagi donburi and beef and rice bowl and 3 different bobas. The mango sago, hazelnut boba and then regular jasmine milk tea. All the food were delicious and just the right amount for each of us. My boba the mango sago and my cousin's boba were perfect for us. My aunt wanted it to be more sweet so I told her to put extra sweet so it won't taste so much like coffee. All in all great place to eat! read more

I was captivated by this spot on DoorDash after seeing that it has a variety of food and boba drinks but wasn't sure how good it could be if they have such a wide variety of items on the menu. I ordered the black garlic ramen and the Taiwanese milk tea and both were actually delicious! For the black garlic ramen, even though it was takeout, it tasted pretty fresh and the broth was a highlight. The milk tea also had a good balance between sweetness and the tea flavor. As a lactose intolerant person, I appreciated the option to sub for oat milk, it didn't affect the flavor too much. So I came to this location of I-Tea and thought it was related to the other locations. The menu seemed very very identical. I ordered the mango sago and popcorn chicken which is my two favorite items at the other locations. The mango sago tasted exactly like the other locations but the popcorn chicken was totally totally different. It was still good but not mind blowing. I asked the staff if they were related to the other locations and they said no. I'm not sure why this location has the letters "SR" attached to their name. But yeah, I like how they are open late and they offer other food items on the menu as well. read more

Been here twice now and had a pleasant experience each time. Inside the restaurant is clean and they have a cute san jose mural. You can also order at a self service kiosk which is a plus! I tried the mango sago, takoyaki, croquettes, eggrolls, and popcorn chicken. All which were satisfactory, but my favorite snack was the popcorn chicken. It was crispy, seasoned well, and came out hot! Out of everything, I would definitely get that again. I wish the takoyaki was crispier, but the flavors were good. What started out and mistake turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Was meant to go to a different location of the same franchise, but silly me had Google mapped to this particular i-Tea. Upon entering, my husband thought we were entering a restaurant than a bubble tea place. There is so much space and seating! To my surprise, they offered fried oysters and ramen on their menu. The i-Tea is live closer to doesn't have these items. I will need to come back to try the ramen someday, as I am curious. The staff was friendly and thorough with reviewing our order. The Crab Tonkotsu was the first ramen I've had with a soft shell crab. It's reasonably priced especially with the whole soft shell crab. The broth was lighter than other ramens I've had but it was still tasty with full pork flavor. I like the texture of the ramen, not too soft but not too chewy either. The chashu pork was soft. It also had a whole egg in it. The Black Garlic Ramen was also pretty good. It had a toasty garlicky flavor with the hint of bitterness. Full of umami flavor. Not a fan of takoyaki but at least this one was not too fishy. Would pass the calamari, though. The picture had the calamari pieces which did not match what was served that were breaded rings. It had the popcorn chicken seasoning. The Mango Sango was really good and it's a must try. read more

Short review since we've only been here twice. First time we were here, we were actually surprised since we didn't know that there was an i-tea here in San Jose! We went in just to grab a couple of drinks and we noticed that they also had food other than snacks, so we decided to come back another time to try the food. We really liked our drinks and it's not a surprise since i-tea always has great drinks! The one that we usually go to is in Milpitas, but sometimes the drinks would take over half an hour to come out or there's a long line of people. So we're happy that we moved in an area where there's a newer spot nearby! The second time we came here, we decided to try the ramen! I went through other reviews to see what other people thought and was happy to see that they were suggesting people to actually try the ramen. When we got there we ordered the tonkatsu ramen and black garlic ramen. The black garlic ramen was really good and the garlic wasn't too overpowering, which is an issue. I've experienced at other places that sell black garlic ramen. The tonkatsu ramen was pretty good too, but I think I liked the black garlic ramen more! I really like that. They give three pieces of chashu pork and I also really like that. The pork looks like it's grilled a little bit before being put in the ramen. So far we really like their drinks and the ramen is also really good! So we'll probably try some snacks next time. But overall we'll keep coming here, especially since we're nearby. read more

What a superb find, this tidy and unassuming spot. I tried their black garlic ramen and the unagi don. I highly enjoyed both. The ramen is a solid value in terms of portion with chashu, full egg, fish cake, woodear mushroom,,bamboo shoots, spinach, corn, and green onion all included for $15. The broth is pleasing. The soft egg is especially spot on perfect. consider +$2 for a second egg. Nothing missing with the unagi don too also at $15. 5 stars just for the owner being so kind! He made sure to check in on his customers and appreciates feedback on how to make their menu items better. I believe this is a franchise for I-Tea but they serve some different menu items here such a ramen and udon! We ordered a Sencha Tea, since this tea was brew to order it was pretty watery. I would skip on this drink. Their other teas such as the black tea, oolong, and green teas are premade and ready to go in the barrels so I suspect these ones would taste stronger. I should've just opted to try one of those instead. Similar to the main I-Tea location however, I was never a fan of their drinks and mainly just went for their food items. As for food, we ordered the black garlic ramen and it was only $13 and a good portion. The soft boiled egg was cooked to perfection and the soup base was flavorful. I just wished there was slight more topping and I let the owner know and he was very understanding. For the price of the ramen, you do get a bang for your buck for the portion size. As for ambiance there is plenty of seating. They have a beautiful mural of San Jose in the hallway to the restroom. The wall right as you enter though is pretty empty so I think they could definitely add something to that. Sometimes you just want a basic, no frills black milk tea or jasmine milk tea, and this place delivers that. The price was great at 5.15 including boba already, which is really hard to find nowadays! Also a very solid popcorn chicken at a little over $8, and there were lots of tables to sit at and choose from. Hidden gem alert. It has the name I-tea in it. But to be honest, the ramen was soo effing surprisingly good, they should of made this more of a ramen shop. The black garlic ramen broth was better than most places I tried. Garlicky with a small hint of bitterness. Really. Really. Tasty. The tonkotsu ramen was also really really good. I dare say better than the black garlic. It has much more depth to it. It says on the tablet that they simmer the broth/stock for 16 hours. And the broth was indeed very creamy because of it. Also the pork was really nice and tender. All of the toppings are fresh as well on both bowls. I hate when you go to a ramen restaurant and the black fungus and bamboo shoots are just rubbery. But this complete opposite of that. Soft and fresh with a good bite. The noodle was also really really good. It's on the firmer side but not to the point of putting you off. Complements the broth very nicely. Not to mention you have the i-tea drink menu to compliment. We had the popcorn chicken and it was serviceable. If your looking for the capitol expressway I-tea popcorn chicken, you still gotta go there. Its definitely not that. But still decent in its own right. Decent amount of seating and very clean. It is a cute boba place. i-tea SR shared parking spaces with other stores so there are plenty of parking. At first, I wanted to get an Unagi Don but I saw that the Chashu Don looks good. I definitely want to like this place, but I don't think I would come back for their ramen dinner in the future again. It's a relatively new place so the ambiance is pretty nice! We came in on a Friday night before going to see a concert but the place was pretty empty. On the bright side, the service is really nice but I think the food itself wasn't really worth the value. There are definitely other options nearby that will be better. I wish there were more toppings and maybe more meat as well. However! The drinks are actually pretty decent so if you were to go here maybe try out their drinks. I want to say their employees are also super nice, it's just the dinner entrees that need some improvement. Great new concept in this plaza, ramen with milk tea combination. It is new so the restaurant looks new and clean. Once enter you can order from the kiosk or the cashier in front. The menu consists of ramen, appetizers and milk tea. I recommended the black garlic ramen. It is full of flavors that is prefect not too salty like other places. The beef udon was delicious as well. The unagi rice bowl was okay. Most of the appetizer are deep fried but they are good. As for the drinks, there are milk tea and fruits teas which both taste great, you can control how much ice and sweetness to your own preference. I've been coming to this boba shop almost everyday since they recently opened up!! (Jk more like a couple times a week..). This restaurant has such good boba and snack options! And the workers here are always so welcoming and nice when coming in. Me and my friend had ordered the Okinawa Milk Tea w/ boba and lychee and the Hazelnut Milk tea w/ boba and egg pudding. Also this was my first time ordering the ramen here and it was sooo good! I bought the spicy kimchi ramen and ordered xtra green onions (free) and xtra seaweed (0.25 cents). I tried I- Tea SR for the first time and would have to say my experience was pretty good. They have a bunch of snacks and food to choose from (rice bowls, ramen, and appetizers). If you're looking for something that isn't too sweet their matcha is definitely worth a try. The same goes for their fruit teas. The popcorn chicken was a newly added item on their menu and my only concern was the outside felt too dry. The inside was still juicy though. Ordered via UberEats since they have BOGO offer on select food and drinks. For food, it has to be exactly the same but for drink, they let you customize the toppings. So we got 2 black garlic ramen, 2 Tonkotsu ramen & 2 Hokkaido milk tea (since it comes with 2 toppings but only 10 cent extra on UberEats). Lots of noodle on the ramen but chasu size is a bit small. Not sure if paying $1 extra for black garlic ramen is worth it since it's almost identical to Tonkotsu ($12.95) but price is still very reasonable. The boba is still a bit too sweet even tho I ordered 50% Sweetness. Hokkaido milk tea comes with boba & egg pudding by default. I substitute my 2nd free one with crystal boba & grass jelly. Toppings portion are pretty generous and all are good. Will definitely be back again to try their fruit tea. Delicious flavorful rich soup, The portion was generous The soft boiled eggs were perfectly cooked, we have the whole eggs included in the price which is a bang for your buck. I've been going to I-tea's since they opened 10ish years ago. Lots of their locations have servers who couldn't a single frank about a small request that's not on on the menu. I just like a little more oreo in my "oreo and black creamy(frosty)". Most I-teas won't do it anymore does it's the ingredient being right there. But the worker here barely though it about it and honored our request. That alone is bring me back. The drink also has strong tea flavor which is good. read more
