So I offered mine to her instead and he said I made the right choice which was a funny moment we really enjoyed. He was such a nice waiter and even complimented my girlfriend because she ate the duck "the right way" LOL. I saw him going around and pouring sake for other customers and also chatting with a 49ers fan. Definitely knew how to connect with people and had amazing customer service! I wish I caught his name! The atmosphere of the restaurant definitely gave off a mom and pop/hole in the wall vibe which I didn't mind at all. Food was pretty good! I think our favorite was surprisingly the katsu! We'll be back to try the katsu curry for sure!

We ordered the veggie (forget which one) with the 4th spicy option. it was not spicy at all. we could have tried the most spiciest but then didn't want to mess the next day up. They have some quirks like banging a drum etc but it's a lively and buzzing place. the ramen broth is also vegetarian and it was awesome. creamy and delicious. definitely going there again.

The fact that they have you order via online and the ask for an 18% tip is so typical these days. Sometimes it doesn't even surprise me. I ordered the buttered corn ramen, subbed for chicken and subbed for spinach noodles. The noodles were good- firm and chewy. The chicken was super tender and soft. The soup was a bit lackluster. I was expecting more depth in flavor but I found it to be on the blander side. I also wish it came with a whole marinated egg rather than half for a $20 bowl. I do like the fact that they offer outdoor dining as well as so much customizability. The toppings are great but the broth is what falls short for me. All in all, not a bad option in terms of ramen for the Bay Area. The options and customization is great and this is a good spot for vegetarians or people looking for something lighter than your typical ramen.

Oh, this business & their minions just can't seem to stop. The more y'all harass me, the more I'll keep posting updates, simple as that. And again, I've moved out of the area and haven't given this spot a 2nd thought since my experience there but y'all keep feeling the need to try (& fail) to prove yourselves right. Now sir, while you're correct that food consumed on the premise can be taxed, nowhere in either of my reviews state that I consumed my food in store. I took my order to go, the girl that took my order asked if it was to go, & it was rang up as to go. Cold TO-GO beverages are tax exempt. The only to-go cold beverage that's not tax except is carbonated beverages. Until you've spent hours chasing down someone to speak with at the CDTFA & have actually successfully verified the info with someone there, like I have, keep your BS to yourself & leave me tf alone. read more

I recently visited I-tea SR and had an incredible experience! The ramen was absolutely delicious--the broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles were perfectly cooked, and the toppings were fresh and satisfying. I especially loved their black garlic ramen. To complement the meal, I tried their milk tea, which was just as impressive. It was creamy, with a perfect sweetness and smooth texture. The boba pearls were chewy and fresh, adding the ideal touch to every sip. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff were friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. There were three young employees working behind the counter who appeared far more engaged in conversations with each other than interacting with customers. There was no greeting, no welcoming atmosphere, and no effort to explain or recommend items from their menu. For a first-time customer, the experience felt indifferent and uninterested. The gaming kiosk tables are unique and appear to be a major feature of the business. However, I left with the impression that much of what customers are paying for is the gaming setup rather than the quality of the food, drinks, or service. The drinks and food are always great, and the staff are friendly and helpful. I visited yesterday for their free mini figure promotion with the White Peach Yogurt drink, and it was such a fun little treat and the new flavor was awesome. One thing I really like about Ume is that they're always coming out with new flavors. I enjoy trying their new menu items, and most of the time, it's a hit. I also picked up a Ume gift card, which is a great deal for a frequent customer like me. Definitely a neighborhood favorite for me, and I'll be back to try more new flavors!

But yesterday, 9/2 around 7 PM, we ordered the same drink again, with the same 30% sweetness level, and both cups tasted very bland. Obviously, the drinks were not the same. I just wanted to bring this to your attention. Hopefully the store can check the preparation to make sure the taste is more consistent from one visit to another.
