The consultation can't be the same day as your appointment and must be in-person. I contacted them twice within 24 hours of my appointment to ask about the possibility of rescheduling. They never responded and just charged me a $50 late cancel fee. I would hope that a business would offer a little flexibility for a 15-minute appointment, especially when most salons offer free consults the same day as your appointment. At the very least, they could've communicated with me in good faith to let me know that rescheduling was not an option and to clarify their late cancel policy. This is just too many hoops to jump through, terrible communication and poor business ethic. Thankfully, Portland has so many other talented stylists and reputable salons - find someone else!

He apparently wasn't wearing his hearing aids and either didn't hear, or didn't care what I wanted. He also dyed my roots black and orange so it would look like I had low class druggy grow out. I asked him to fix it, and he put another coat of black dye on. Like he didn't care at all that I hated the way it looked. I also told him I didn't want my hair rip cut. That didn't stop him from randomly grabbing fist fulls of wet hair and hacking off six inches of once healthy hair. It will probably take at least a year to grow this out. I will also have to pay for color correction at another salon. I hate looking in the mirror. This cut added age and weight to my face. Charles is not a professional.
