Put in remote start and alarm it stopped working within the year the module for the remote start smoked everytime i started the car via remote i called and told the owner he told me there was no time for him to look at it and never got a rerurn call i regret sending several other friends there cars that were fucked up included but not limited to are a 2001 crown vic a 2006 crown vic and a 96 impala ss just today i had they're crap uninstalled as it was causing my battery light to come on and stay on i dont know what you guys are doing at I B custom,name of the business should change because you guys absolutely suck and i dont know why yoi are still in business. .... read more

I called in to check on some LED lights for my 1993 acura integra, ray automatically helped me when i came in through the day. He was very helpful and showed me all the option without any hassle. Without any pressure i took my time on what i really wanted to get. It was quick and easy coming in and out within 5 minutes. I went to Ib custom to have aftermarket lights put in my car. The owner was very friendly and quoted me 75 to 100 dollars for the job. After the work was done he only charged me the $75 despite me having extra wiring from the kit which was awesome. Would definitely recommend them. read more

Owners were super cool. Tint looks awesome. But the inside and outside of the vehicle was filthy. Had to wash the inside and outside. Changed to two stars because I still can't get all the residue off my door panels. Stuff was on my navigation screen and everywhere. Don't take a luxury car here for tint. Not worth the 200 bucks. Down to one star now. My visor is crooked. 1.5 inches lower on one side than the other. And one front window is cracking on the corner. Have to take it to another shop now. Piece of crap job. I wish I would've read the reviews before coming to this place. Worst experience with a business in my life, wish I could give 0 stars. Terrible customer service, and workmanship. They had to redo my tint so I went to pick it up and as other reviewers have mentioned my car was a mess. Pieces of tint film all over and residue running down the arm rests and on the seats. I shouldn't have to tell them to clean my car back to how it originally came in. After the new tint was done I noticed scratches all over the window and a nice new scratch on the outside of my car. I took it back to them and let one of the owners know how dissatisfied I was with the tint and a previous situation with tinting my lights (long story). But in the end we went back and forth and after him lying and accusing me of calling him a liar, things escalated quickly and ended with him slamming the front door and locking me out of the shop and yelling that he's not going to fix my car and my warranty is now void. Haha it was unbelievable. Don't waste your time or money with these clowns, as others have stated they should be shutdown. read more

STAY AWAY FROM IB CUSTOM!! First I should let you know I bought a Kenwood deck and Polk speakers at Best Buy, and had them installed at Best Buy the day before bringing my Jeep Grand Cherokee to IB Custom. Everything was working perfectly, but I wanted better sound from the nice Polk speakers so I bought a good quality new amp. I called and visited a few different car audio shops trying to find a good deal on a 5 channel amp install. IB Custom had the lowest price ($150 w/wires), and they said they had 2 locations and had been in business for 14 years, so I thought I was in luck. When I got there they started to jack the price up. They suggested thicker gauge wire for the amp (more $), they said "Oh, you need extra RCA cables" (more $), they said "We have to build a mount for your amp." (more $). So the $150 phone quote became $240. It was a red flag, and I was going to walk, and the owner said "Okay we will do it for $200". I said to them, "I paid so much for my stereo, speakers, woofer, amp, and all the installations, please do not use cheap wires to do the amp install, because then my money will be wasted. They assured me they would use their best wiring. Then the nightmare began. After over 3 hours at IB Custom, they had the amp wired (but not mounted). They went to turn on the stereo, and nothing. No sound at all. After a quick diagnostic, they told me, "Bad news, you have a bad deck." I reminded them the deck was brand new, and was working fine when I brought it to them. They told me the remote power wire on the back of the deck was not putting out 12volts, so it wasn't turning on the amp, and I should go back to Best Buy and have them replace the bad deck. I went to Best Buy, and the installer said, "I doubt you have a bad deck, they probably just installed the amp wrong." Sure enough, the Best Buy installer pulled out the deck and said, "See, they hooked the amp up to the power antenna wire, not the remote power wire." Best Buy installer hooks the amp to the correct wire on the deck and Voila! Sound coming out of the speakers. So I go back to IB Custom, and let them know I didn't have a bad deck, they had hooked it up incorrectly. No apologies from IB Custom for wasting my time and gas. So, I was back there for them to finish mounting the amp, and tuning of the amp. After about 90 minutes they told me it was good to go. I had to go pick up my wife, and I was eager to show off the new sound system. My wife gets in the Jeep, and I say check it out! She says, "I don't hear any sound coming out of the right front speaker." So I fade to the front, and set the balance to the right, and she is correct, no sound. I set the balance to the left, and no sound out of the left front. I fade to the rear, and I hear sound out of the left front. I fade to the right and I hear the right rear. So two out of my four speakers are not producing sound, and the two that are producing sound are connected to the wrong outputs. I am very unhappy at this point, and I call IB Custom to complain. Again no apology, they just suggest I bring it in to them, and they will "make it right". So after waiting there another 90 minutes or so they tell me that there was a bad RCA cable, and they had fixed it, but they had some bad news. They told me my right front speaker was either disconnected in the door, or was a bad speaker. I reminded them the speaker was brand new and worked when I brought it to them. They said, well bring it back to Best Buy, they will either reconnect the speaker or replace it. I went back to Best Buy, and the installer says he doubts it is a bad speaker, it was just working two days ago. He tests the speaker and the speaker is fine. He pulls the deck and shows me the problem. "You see the wiring harness here? When they put it back together they bent one of the pins." He straightens the bent pin and Voila! Sound comes out of the speakers. Another problem pops up. I notice a whine that goes up with the rpms of the motor. Best Buy guy says, "They either have the gains turned up too high on the amp, or it is an issue with the wiring. Let me ask you, did they run the power wire on the opposite side of the vehicle than the speaker and RCA wires?" I say no they ran everything down the drivers side of the Jeep. Best Buy guy says, "Well that is probably most of your problem right there. IT IS CAR AUDIO 101 that you install power on the opposite side. I recommend you bring it back to them and have them do it right." At this point I don't want to bring it back, but dangit, I want it to be done right, and I can't stand the annoying whine I am hearing after spending so much time and money. I bring it back to them and have them relocate the power wire. I still have annoying whine. Guess what they tell me? Bad amp! LOL! I went to another audio shop that replaced the RCA's with some quality ones, tuned the amp, and Voila no more whine! STAY AWAY FROM IB CUSTOM!! read more

Went here to get my new stereo installed in my g35 one of the harder ones to replace, knowing that he seemed to know what he was doing and even said he has done some similar to this recently. When it came to price he told is between 120-150 after it was all done I was charged 150 but not told why. The worst part of my experience here was that my heated seats in my car no longer work. They did not take the time to program the time or anything but that was fine. One thing they did that I am pleased with is that they adjusted my alarm sensitivity. I would recommend avoiding this place. While the people are friendly, the work is very poor and amature. I had an amp and sub put in my truck. I should have known they didn't know what they were doing, or didn't care, when they didn't even secure the amp to the trucks floor. It just slid around. The sub never sounded very good and my amp blew after a year or so. When I took my truck another reputable shop to replace it, they told me that whoever installed the first one hooked it up to the wrong wires and no wonder it sounded bad and that was likely the reason it blew. They also ripped up my carpet on the install and never glued it back down. All around poor quality and a rip off. read more

Very nice people, but shitty ass work! Took my luxury car in for tinting and got it back full of bubbles. Was told that the bubbles would go away and that they're just moisture that needs to dry out. The bubbles didn't go away after one week so i took my car back to have it redone. They redid the tint and I got it back the second time with bubbles AND scratches AND lint fibers. I went back to ask for a refund and they said I could not have my $225 back but they would be happy to redo it a third time. I was irritated but wanted my tint done right so I left my car a third time. This time it looked much better as far as bubbles were concerned, but there was at least one scratch on each window. IB Customs is a joke, a waste of money, and i highly recommend not doing business with them. I won't be back, and word of mouth can do a lot of damage (or bring success) to a small business like that. If i could rate this company on a negative scale, i would give it a -10 on services. They really don't even deserve one star. This place is wack. I bought 2 6x9 and 2 6 1/2 Sony speakers from this place and had them install it. I came back to pick up my vehicle and my speakers sounded good, but........2 days later my speakers sounded blown out, so I took off the covers to my doors and they never installed the speakers I purchased from them. So mainly, they took my $ and the speakers I purchased. The wiring they did was so nasty and garbage I should of done it my self. This place is a rip off and definitely not worth taking your vehicle to have anything installed. read more

I had an amp and better speakers installed in my truck. They broke moulding inside my truck and the front speakers stopped working within a month. I took it back 3 times and eventually gave up. These guys are a bunch of amateurs. I ended up spending way more than if I had gone to a higher quality shop. Don't make the same mistake I did...pay for better quality the first time! read more

I went into this place yesterday looking for some speakers. I had recently installed a deck my self and didn't like the audio results of it routing through the factory amp. So I was gonna bypass the amp and was looking for some 6x9's for the rear because the stock ones wouldn't work without the amp. The guy went to my car and looked at my set-up and gave me some tweaking advice first. Then showed me some 6x9's that would fit what I wanted if the tweak didn't work. The price he offered me was better than what I found on the internet when I went home. He said if I don't come back in at least give him a good review on Yelp. Usually when I walk into a car audio place I cringe because no matter what, the employees are going to act like you're an idiot. this guy listened, worked with me and gave me advice. He earned a good review. This will be my place to go for stereo stuff from here on out. I gave 4 stars because I haven't actually done business with the guy yet. But I will for sure now. Please DO NOT bring your car to this place or you will be SORRY. I brought in my 2012 Toyota Sienna for them to install a brand new Pioneer DVD/nav. unit. First, they lied and cheat, told me that the model 140BH wasn't going be out yet for another week so I was forced to buy the older model 130BT instead. To make it worse, they installed a SUPER OLD 120BT model which only cost around $400 and charged me $1,000 thinking I wasn't gonna find out. After I caught them lied, they went back and switched it out to what I originally asked for which is the 140BH. They also tinted my windows which turned out looking like sh*t and messed up all my panels and trimming in my car. The tints were bubbling and weren't cut right. They installed a DVD monitor screen for the back rows and ended up drilling a hole on the roof of my van with the DVD hanging, flapping around because it wasn't hung right. MY BRAND NEW VAN that is UNDER 10K miles is now looking like sh*t because of these people. I'm currently working with their INSURANCE company to get it straighten out and have them pay for my damaged to get fixed which is currently to be estimated at around $6,500. It's not the money that I care about but my brand new vehicle now looks like a Freaking SALVAGE vehicle. I REPEAT, DO NOT bring your car here for any work done at all. This isn't a shop, they hired bums off the street and have them work in the back of a nasty garage in a ghetto neighborhood. I had to bring my vehicle to Audio Express in Arden to get everything redone. IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR VEHICLE, go ELSEWHERE. I NEVER write review on anything but I made sure that I have to do it this time so other people won't have to pay money then get their car messed up with and be pissed like me. The only thing this place has going for them is their prices. I waited three and a half hours for 4 speakers and a head unit to be installed. Ray was a great help and seemed very knowledgable, but this place is downright terrible. After my install, I went to inspect my car and this is what I found and saw: my knobs for my AC controls were all on the floor of my car, they completely fu**** the leather on my dash, ruining the overall integrity of what was a perfect car, my car was a mess and smelled awful, gave me back the wrong stereo, scratches all over the plastic around the unit, and the best one of them all, my fu***** turn signals are not working AT ALL. I do not understand what kind of business owner allows his employees to perform work of this quality. I returned to tell Ray that my turn signals are not working and I'm just overall unhappy with the job they have done with my car and he asked if I could return at some point the next day. I agreed to let him fix the wiring for my turn signals and nothing else. Took my new car to do custom install of alarm and stereo system.in result I had multiple speakers and car alarm systems burned down and they t rapt in almost every wire so my car wouldn't start at times.i took my car to dealer to fix but deler told me to take it back to shop that did this to my car.i found and different electrician to look at the problem and when he did he told me to take them to court that's how bad the car messed up.i went to IB Custom by referral and strongly regret that I did I will remember my experience with them for the rest of my life .did I mention that I did have them a chance to fix the situation ,they kept my car for 16 days and of course they where charging me for extra time!Bad business read more

Brought my SUV in to have the front windows tinted. The tint job was horrible, so I brought it back to have both windows re-done. This review may be a little biased because I consider myself a good friend of Ray and family. I'd like to first of state the fact the some of these negative reviews are from people that only complain. I also believe some of them of them are made up by the competition, there are a few guys that are writing there own good reviews in order to keep there star value high, deceptive practices usually work. Second, there has been some change in staff recently, and the guy who use to do the tinting has been fired, I know now that Ray himself has been personally inspecting and sometimes doing the tinting himself to ensure quality . I can also9 tell you that there is tint on the market that would cost him a lot less to buy but he will not use the cheap stuff from experience. Third, This is a family owned business that has been in business for years, I can testify that this company has many repeat customers( many of them with classic cars, some exotic, some commercial but mostly consumer class regular average hard working family types ). They don't need to advertise to maintain a good steady stream of customers. There is no pressure and i have never heard Ray talk bad of the competition. I understand that with any business its hard to keep every one happy but believe me when i say, I have seen Ray, his wife, ,his mom and his dad go out of there way to make sure people left with a smile Finally if you are shopping on price alone shopping buy phone is not a great way to get it done, there are always things that cant be foreseen when you don't have the job in front of a salesman ( like calling around for bodywork think you could get a quote over the phone for that ). pick a couple places to shop making sure they are not too far from home or work , (otherwise your savings will go in to the gas tank , and that it will be convenient if something does go wrong and you need to come back) There is not a shop in the world that is immune, so if you live in south sac then have to drive to Citrus Heights because something aint right no matter whose fault is defiantly a hassle. So give IB customs a try I know all the bad reviews are not deserved. IB Custom does great work! I took my ride here last month to have a sub-woofer and underbody car lights installed. My experience there was above and beyond excellent! First off, the staff was really friendly and there was no pressure put on me to buy anything "extra". The underbody car lights turned out to be so cool! They did such a good job installing them that you can't even see any wires sticking out. Same goes for the sub-woofer. The amount of bass is perfect for my car. Deep, but not too deep that the entire car vibrates. I did have some complications with the sub-woofer at first, but they gladly fixed it until the problem was solved. They weren't rude or bothered about fixing it nor did they try to blame me for the issue, instead they fixed the problem willingly and gladly. Their prices are very fair and reasonable; they don't overcharge. I would definitely recommend IB Custom to anyone looking to soup up their car. They do excellent work and they do it right. read more

Where to start, I came in to have a USB, Bluetooth axuillary put in my van. We came and picked up the van and the USB doesn't work through the stereo like my other car does, the axuillary was already broken. The auxiliary works only if you don't have your phone connected to the Bluetooth. So either music or answering calls but you can't do both. None of this was disclosed before spending almost $400. Okay that's just the start. Everything stopped working at least twice just while picking up the car. Left a HUGE hole in my glove box and couldn't find the piece that was removed so had to fabricate a piece of plastic to put over it so nothing falls into the gapping hole. Took a rode trip and it stopped working again. Found the wire that was loose. Tried again to use and doesn't work so have to pull wires out ourselves to find problem. When opening the glove box we came to find out that they broke our glove box, cracked on both sides. Replacement ($800) so we will duct tape it because replacement is not in our cards right now. Very unprofessional job. Wires sliced and not put back together properly. I am certified in electronics and know it wasn't done right. Ask questions before buying your products. Nothing we bought works the way I was expecting. read more
