Long overdue yelp review!! I had an amazing experience with Ivy. She is fully knowledgeable about skincare and did an amazing job treating me! I was never the type to break out but when I did, her expertise led me to a clear face! It was my first time getting a facial and getting checked out so I was a bit nervous. However, Ivy was so warm and welcoming from the moment I walked in. She explained everything she was going to do before applying anything on me. Her hands were so gentle and possessed so much precision when she worked on my face. Her voice definitely makes you feel relaxed and comfortable! I recently moved away from my medical esthetician and was searching the internet for someone who was just as good and not a scam. Ivy is exceptional! It's a full blown experience when you come in- relaxing and energizing. She explains everything she's using on you and what it's good for. I have sensitive and dry skin and my mom trusts Ivy since they know each other for awhile. The atmosphere of the place is relaxing and peaceful and she greeted me and my mom with such genuineness and friendly tone. This place is located inside Sola Salon in Brea and it is all the way at the back labeled "Spa Area". $85 service. It was good, but I have gotten way better and more for that price and they used Lucrece as well in Brea and Fullerton! The her space (room) was small, cute and modern. The facial table, she has the disposable linen on top of the blanket and she has you lay above it and wraps you. So what does that mean - she doesn't change her bedding for each client, just disposes the white linen. Her equipments were good, she has a steamer, microderm, led light, and scrubber machine. Product line - Lucrece - I must say I felt somewhat cheated on the product usage. The facial - warning, her hands are cold (beginning to end) - I thought maybe it was just the beginning but it was cold throughout. Feedback is important, so I let her know that it was cold, I felt her hand and it still cold! She did take me step by step with her treatment, loved it. No steam, she prefers hot towels as she voiced - I prefer steam. Her towels smells good at least! Very knowledge about her products and the skin itself - as expected. Extraction - I have gotten better ones, felt like she just put it the comedone extractor and tapped and pushed in everywhere. Also, I usually get a facial where my neck is part of the facial and this one didn't, all on the face. I didn't care much for the hand massage, shoulder was nice but too short. Light therapy was great... she gave me a sample of lucrece retinae and went over her skin analysis. Thank you Ivy for the experience. read more

This place is located in the Sola Salon Studios, right next to Aaron Bros, and it's located all the way in the back on the right side of the studio. Ivy was recommended by a friend and I called her and left her my number. She texted me back at a reasonable time and was able to set up an appointment. Ivy is the aesthetician and she was very cheerful and soft-spoken. She conducted a needs assessment and she told me everything she was going to do. The atmosphere of the studio was very calm and soothing, just like the facial she provided for me. Certain parts of the facial can usually be uncomfortable, maybe even painful at times, but she was the essence of care and was gentle every step of the way. If the possibility of discomfort was present, she would communicate that to you and would make the effort to make the procedure as friendly to the customer as possible. I have been to several places before but my experiences have never been like with Ivy and with IB Skincare. read more

I love coming here to give my face some GOOD pampering! I'm going on my 4th session for my microdermabrasion and I LOVE IT! Ivy makes every session very comfortable and my favorite thing is that she tells me what she's doing and what she's putting on my face the entire time. I've been getting facials from IB Skincare for over a year. What attracted me initially was that Ivy was a dermatologist, and you can tell from the first skin analysis she knows more about skin that any esthetician. I like how she explains each step of the process and tells you exactly what she's putting on your face. I have sensitive skin and the products she uses (Lucrece) feel light and have been working great so far. She'll even give you free samples. I've been to other places and extractions then sometimes led to more acne, but since Ivy knows what to extract and what to leave alone, I've never had that problem again. First of all, I'm not afraid to admit that I love being pampered and getting facials. I think it's very important to take care of your skin in order to stay young. I've been going to IB Skincare for almost two years now. I refuse to go anywhere else because she provides such a calming, comfortable, and amazing service. In the last 4 months, my hormonal cystic acne decided to flare up and it was the worst I've ever seen my skin. Before, I would go to IB Skincare just when I felt was needed, but considering my skin was so bad, I began going regularly and it has definitely made a gigantic difference. I've been coming to IB skincare for my facials since the beginning of the year and she definitely exceeds my expectations each time. Ivy makes the atmosphere very calm and relaxing as she dims the lights and puts on some spa music.
