I really started out liking this salon. After several visits I asked why I wasn't receiving a treatment that was on the pedi menu. A nail technician started arguing with me that I hadn't ever gotten/asked for that treatment. Believe me I know what I ordered. But really? Arguing with me? I asked the manager to speak to her, but she would not talk to me. Yes, she was busy but could have taken one moment in between clients, instead of losing one. Me. I told them at least 20 times that my nails are too thin, please don't use the rough nail file to remove the gel nail polish from my nails and just use the soaking method, she continued to use nail file because it's faster (it means they can move on to the next customer faster, so they don't give a sh** about you). I told her to make them thicker by applying three coats of nail polish, she refused. Then I heard all of them start speaking in Vietnamese (probably talking sh** about me). My nails broke after a couple days and the gel polish peeled off when it's supposed to last for at least a couple of weeks. They don't speak a lick of English. Never going back. Disclaimer: I have never received any of the services from here. My review is based solely on the booking of an appointment and trying to use a voucher I purchased. I bought an AmazonLocal voucher for a gel manicure and basic pedicure, but scheduling for an appointment was a nightmare. Everything was all good until I mentioned the voucher, and then all hell broke loose when I said I also wanted to come with 3 of my friends. After hearing this, she started making excuses saying the AmazonLocal vouchers may only be redeemed on weekdays Monday-Wednesday, which was not stated at the time of purchase, and that we are only allowed to book one person at a time. Since we were a group of 4, I asked if we could break up into 2 groups of 2 and just wait for one another to finish. And that we didn't even mind if we had to wait weeks or months for an appointment as long as it was a Saturday since we all work Monday-Friday in the Peninsula area. But she still would not allow it. So does this mean bridal parties should avoid this place? I also understand that she wants to keep technicians available for regulars and people who were not paying with a voucher, but I'm trying to work with you on the date so that you can plan ahead and work with us too. Had I known I would be treated with less respect and consideration when trying to book an appointment for a voucher I bought, I would not have purchased this voucher to begin with. I only have one voucher, so if I like your service and want to come back, I would be a "regular paying customer" then right? (not to say that people with vouchers aren't!). But how am I to become a regular if you already feel that I don't deserve the same accommodations as your other customers? Thankfully, Amazon refunded my money. Please do not sell vouchers if you cannot honor them appropriately. Please also include all your voucher redeeming "rules" in the description to begin with rather than making them up as you go along, so we don't all waste our time. read more

I'm disappointed to have to write such a negative review as the others were so positive, but I had a terrible experience here today. The gal who was doing my toes started to remove an ingrown toenail. I've never had someone "dig" into my toe so aggressively before, and she pulled the skin all the way to the base of my nail. In other words, major "ow!". Oddly enough, she completely disregarded my left big toe which definitely needed attention. I guess she was tired? As my left toe throbbed and bled, the gal doing my nails was busy making 2 fingers bleed. Mind you, this is a basic manicure. Meanwhile, one of the other technicians fell ill and I appreciste their concern for her, but the distraction to my $50 mani pedi job was obvious and I really just wanted to get out of there. I don't normally come here because it's expensive and not so close to my house. I typically go to Pink Beauty Spa which I love, and costs $12 for a manicure rather than $20. Out of convenience I came here today before food shopping. While someone did a very nice manicure for me, another woman who works here proceeded to tell her client all about her weight issues, he pregnancy and birth with her son (extremely graphically) and then her aftercare, female issues, etc. this lasted the entire length of my manicure. By the end, I was so disgusted and when she asked me for payment I asked her if I would get a discount for having to sit through her extremely inappropriate conversation. Live near by this spa, decided to try it out yesterday. Just wanted to get a gel mani done. Had a photo on my phone of the color and fairly simple nail art I wanted to get. She said okay no problem. She was extremely abrasives with my nails and cuticles. So much cutical was snipped away that it actually bleed and stung. iBeautify Salon is the best in Los Gatos in my opinion and I've been to nearly all of them. I try to get Jasmine and/or Tweedy for my mani/pedi's, but each technician is very experienced, kind and we often have some pretty hysterical conversations. The salon is very clean, modern and comfortable. I usually call ahead but I've never had a hard time getting in, I've only ever had to wait 5 minutes to get in a chair. I'm sure there are 'cheaper' nail salons in the area, but you get what you pay for and the quality of work and friendliness of staff is definitely worth a couple bucks more. read more

I got my first pedicure of my life here and I'd say I picked a good place to pop my cherry! I got the luxury pedicure which felt...well...luxurious. The chairs are very comfy and provide a nice back massage. I loved the hot stone foot and leg massage and soaking my feet in the warm water and some other orange steaming liquid on a rainy day was very soothing.
