This nail salon is amazing! Definitely call ahead - My can usually fit me in same day but it may be tough to get a walk-in appointment. It's next to the T4 in the plaza and a bit out of the way if you don't live nearby but so worth it. When you first walk in, the shop is unassuming has a very quiet vibe; it's a bit on the older side, but what matters more is that My is meticulous with her work and an incredibly sweet person who works hard to make sure you leave with an amazing manicure. I paid $40 for a gel manicure. She does dip, gel and regular nail polish and also has some of the best color selections I've seen including Korean jelly colors which I've only seen in South Korea. While I don't live in San Jose, I come often to visit family and prefer to get my manicures here over other shops I've tried. read more

My is SO skilled, so friendly, and will make sure you're happy with your nails. I love that she was able to squeeze me in, was so patient while I decided on what I wanted, is willing to let you try different colors until you find the one you like, and is such a kind person and business owner to all of her customers. Normally nail artists want to cut my curved natural nails short but she shaped mine exactly how I wanted them. Her filing and shaping is 10/10. She also has sooooo many beautiful polishes to try. I stumbled upon My's Nails Salon while looking through Yelp. I called and they were able to book me an appointment for 4PM. The store is in a small plaza and right next to T4 so if you wanted some boba while getting your nails done - this is the place! When I got to there, My & An greeted me and had me seated right away. It was very clean inside and they had such a cute selection of colors to choose from. They've only been open for a month or so - so it wasn't pack like other places which is nice during these time and much more quiet! Dip Manicure ($50) . I came in originally for just a pedicure, but asked if they would be able to fit my thumb nail which broke earlier in the week :'( she recommended that we put a fake nail on it and do dip powder. It was my first time using fake nails and dip powder, but it ended up turning out really natural. My really took her time making sure everything turned out right and was always asking for my opinion on the shape, length, etc. Regular Pedicure ($25) ( I forgot to ask for her name..) She did a great job and the pedicure turned out beautifully especially since I chose to get white toes. You get the usual foot scrub, sugar scrub, & massage. I appreciate that she gave more attentions to my heels during the foot scrub since they've been drier lately. Overall, I recommend this nail salon if you're looking for a place to relax and get a nice set of nails done. :) read more

I usually get a gel manicure and have not had any trouble getting an appointment. Priced at $35, she was quick and the results were so pretty. The gel lasted well over three weeks for me, even with some housework etc. They're new owners and new to the area so I think it's nice to show them some love. read more

Went a couple of times for a pedi. First time, all was fine. Second time, it was *very* hot inside...door was open and it was 85 outside. No a/c, no fans. Pretty uncomfortable. Worse, it was DIRTY. Used towel on the floor, cotton with nail polish on a table, crumbs on the floor. In addition to the owner, there was a young man there helping...setting up the water bath, etc. Most of the time I was there he was just sitting around, playing on his tablet. What a shame he didn't spend some time cleaning. Between the lack of a/c and cleanliness issues, I won't be returning. My neighbor, who had been there once as well, said the same thing about the dirty conditions. If things are unclean where you *can* see them, what are things like where you can't?? read more

My mom and I just went here for the first time and couldn't be more pleased. We pulled up for our appointment when they were just opening, and the husband, An, came out and helped my elderly mother up the curb by offering his arm. So gracious! Leslie and My did a perfect job. My mom has challenging, tender feet with thickened callouses and very thick toenails. They got worse last year when she couldn't get pedicures due to Covid. We brought her a couple times to my usual place, and they just didn't seem to put time and effort into helping my mom's feet improve. My, the owner, was my mom's technician today and was gentle and didn't hurt my mom at all, and did an incredible job on her toes! She was able to remove so much of the callous and thinned and shaped her toenails. I can't believe how lovely they looked! Leslie did a beautiful job on my own feet. We both got the basic pedicure, and left feeling very good about the entire experience. An even walked us out to the car to help my mom and open her door for her. Please give their new business a try. They are kind and caring people, and I hope their salon is a success. read more
