Best week of our lives, amazing service, extremely grateful to all the staff members who made our experience perfect despite a hurricane coming through mid week!

We had a great stay at Iberostar Cancun. We were part of a wedding group (wedding was off site, not part of resort). We enjoyed our cabana for pool time. We didn't try too many of the restaurants but I want to highlight, Santiago who worked during the breaks fast buffet service. He had excellent service and always made sure l had a cappuccino in the morning. We also really liked the little food truck trailer set up near the pool/beach area. I loved the quesadillas. Watch out for the birds. They will come after you and your left overs. The access to the beach is really nice but proceed with caution in the water. The current was very strong even if you're only a few steps into the water. Very beautiful blue waters to enjoy.

Visited here with my toddler and had a great experience. I'm always weary about all inclusive buffet food; it tends to be subpar. Luckily, the buffet food here was actually good! I always found something that I enjoyed. The kids' pool area is great for younger kids, such as toddlers, since the water is shallow. Kids can stand and walk around freely. Adults can also accompany them on one of the 4 slides, which is so nice. I've stayed at resorts where adults are not allowed on the kids' slides, which made them unusable for my son at that age. So this was a great experience! My son could play in the pool area all day if I let him. The ocean water is not as warm or calm as further down in riviera maya, however still pleasant enough for us to enjoy. Red flags are up daily indicating they do not recommend swimming, but most people still swim. We felt safe enough to swim in the ocean and enjoyed it. Service is kinda at most areas and resort feels very clean; they are constantly cleaning! Nightly entertainment was great as well. We particularly enjoyed the live saxophonist and live singer. The highlight of the trip though was the foam party. This was the first foam party I've experienced, and it was nothing short of epic! Of course my son was thrilled with the excessive amount of bubbles! The staff at the foam party did a great job of making it such a fun experience. They danced in sync to all the songs while the saxophonist played along to the beats. It was an unforgettable experience and would return just for that again!

My friends and I had a great time at Iberostar Cancun celebrating my friend's 30th birthday. Its located in the Hotel Zone and a quick ride to and from the airport. I believe I paid around $500 for 3 nights and it was certainly worth the price. The food and drinks weren't amazing but decent for an all-inclusive experience. Getting dinner reservations for their restaurants was annoying and they were all fully booked out by the time I checked-in. Fortunately, they do have a few restaurants that are walk-in and are easy to get into for dinner. I had the hotel room that was oceanside and on a high floor and it was really nice. The biggest headache was the elevator. They only had two functional elevators so it would take me around 10 minutes to get down each time. My friends were upgraded to an oceanside villa with a swimout pool which was awesome. It was really nice to have that privacy and easy access to the beach. The spa at the hotel was overpriced, but I was able to get a free massage by participating in a timeshare presentation. This is where they showed me which rooms the "members" stay in and they proceeded to show me the villa my friends are staying in without being a member! Other than the timeshare presentation, the hotel experience was great and I would highly recommend it for the price point.

First time at an all inclusive resort and I definitely expected better from the food. The food was at best mediocre with the a la carte options being a little better but still just mediocre. Service however was phenomenal. The guest services folks treat you like kings and queens, it honestly took me a little getting used to. Rooms and beds were clean. Bed was a little stiffer than what I'm used to. Pillow was not that comfortable but not bad. FOOD: 4/10 SERVICE: 9.5/10 Recommendation: Go with the expectation that food is mid.

Where do I start? The property looks beautiful from the outside, but looks do decieve. The age of the rooms tells you what you need to know, old stained and cracked floors with hair. I immediately had to call someone in to come back and clean the room I had already waited 4 hours for. Started in the buffet where I ended up burned due to negligence. The medical staff came to assist and had no type of butn cream or anything to help. I was told I had to pay out of pocket for separate medical help including some burn cream. They didn't even have a badic first aid kit that provided some, which they usually do. Not sure how room service operates but the things you place outside of your room to be picked up (food, cups, ect) can sit outside your door for a least 24 hours. Pretty much everything closes outside at 6pm while its still bright and early then the pools at 8 pm. Weekends included. So imagine you come on vacation wanting to hang around late night. You wont be doing that here. At this time, you would think you'd get to experience the promised 5 restaurants and buffet but no. 2 restaurants were closed/under construction. 2 were closed the entirety of the saturday I was there. Buffet food was nasty and repetitive so with everything closed, your options were limited. With such limited, that means a hugh volume of people trying to get into and eat at the other 2 restaurants and people getting turned away because there is no seating. Yes, you can take an uber and each at a nearby restaurant but why would you be paying at least $500 a night to stay somewhere that is supposed to have these things and they not be available when you get there? The entertainment was mediocre at best. I think they have better entertainment on carnival cruises honestly. Huge theater and stage for 4 people in costumes to do a few songs and minimal dancing. Clearly room for full productions to be taking place. Seaweed season is in so the beach was pretty much inaccessible aside from the one day it cleared up. Overall, I would probably never go back. Im young, I stay up late and I like to eat good food. This is more people who live a boring life, have children that go to sleep at 6pm and possibly people who have retired and don't expect much. For the proce I paid, I really wasted my money and Im not happy about it. I get everyone's experience is different but yea, no. If you want to have actual fun, be somewhere nice with great food and get the biggest bang for your buck, I would really recommend staying somewhere else.

Last summer, I spent a fun week at the Iberostar Selection All Inclusive Resort in Cancun Mexico. I booked through a JetBlue package, so the airline made it easy to book the vacation. The resort was massive; it had several pools, restaurants, bars, auditoriums, and recreational rooms (ie: game room with a pool table). This was nice because it gave my friend and I a lot to do, so we never got bored. The resort had different daily events that took place such as Trivia, Salsa Dancing, Magic Shows, and other live performances. Every one of them were very fun to participate in. The staff especially knew how to rile up the crowd and make it really entertaining! Service Rate 10/10. The room I stayed in was clean, relatively big, and had a beautiful ocean front view. The overall hotel was clean, however some parts of it were outdated (ie: the slow elevators), but it was still well maintained. Resort Establishment Rate 7.5/10. The resort had different restaurants from Italian, Steakhouse, Mexican, Japanese, and American. They also had breakfast and dinner buffets, and a cute little cafe with pastries and coffee. The food tasted average, nothing special, but that's understandable considering this is an all inclusive resort. That said, the unlimited drinks/open bars were the best part of the resort. The drinks were good, while others tasted subpar. Food rate 6/10. In terms of price, this is perfect for anyone who wants to vacation on a budget since everything is included and the overall cost wasn't too expensive depending on the flight/room/time you go (I went in May). Overall, I would definitely recommend this resort for anyone who is down to have a grand time in Cancun!

We just vacationed here for 5 days for a friend's wedding. We were not impressed with the overall resort. It seemed to be run down and in need of some renovations and more food options. Our room was dirty, only had 2 working outlets, and no overhead lights. The elevators are extremely slow. They only really have one option for breakfast and lunch each day-buffet. Reservations for restaurants were hard to get. We did however enjoy the habachi and steakhouse. Overall, Food and drinks were just okay. Beach and views made it worth it!

I want to go back! Two of my friends and I visited in February and had a wonderful time. We stayed in one of the rooms that had a perfect view of the ocean and of the pools. The staff throughout the whole stay were incredible including the front desk, housekeeping, bartenders and servers. The buffet was the go to breakfast spot although there were a couple other options on the property. We ate at all of the specialty restaurants for dinner and had no complaints about any of them. The property was clean and well maintained. The only complaint I had was some of the entertainment was not that great. They did not always start on time and it was just a little boring compared to other resorts I have visited. To be honest, the bartenders were my favorite and made me want to go back in a heartbeat! I definitely recommend this resort!

This place has beautiful views (depending on where your room is), but it is definitely at the bottom of all inclusive hotels I've visited in Cancun. On the first night, we made reservations at one of the restaurants called American Bistro. The food was okay. I later learned that it was definitely better than the buffet. We wanted to make reservations for some of the other restaurants, but we kept waiting until the day of and they were booked. The buffet is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The breakfast options have not been great for me. I don't eat diary, egg or meat. But I do eat fish. So the breakfast options are sparse. I've been eating hash browns, tomatoes, guacamole, nuts and olives for breakfast. There's usually a fish option at either lunch or dinner. The salad bar has cold tofu, but there's no dishes with vegan proteins. The good thing is they have plant based milks (almond and soy), a salad bar, and fruit. Sometimes, they have vegan dessert options. One night they had coconut flan, which was not bad. Overall, the food is mediocre at best. As a coffee enthusiast, I found the coffee and the cafe quite disappointing. It breaks my heart. I ordered an iced caramel latte with almond milk. Tell me why this lady made my drink with some espresso already brewed!? The disrespect. The facilities are okay. The gym is quite small and they're not limiting the number of people, so it can get crowded. They take your temperature and give you hand sanitizer and a towel when you come in. They also have water available and sanitizing spray and towels to wipe off the equipment. The rooms need some upgrades. They do have central air, which is great. Room service and housekeeping are daily. You can tell it's an old facility. For instance, the elevators don't have air conditioning...the toilet in our room runs water after flushing it. The shower needs an update and the bathroom counters are worn down. If you don't spend a lot of time in the room, you'll be fine and maybe won't notice. There's activities everyday, but a lot of them are very fitness oriented. Of course, I like this lol but not everyone is trying to get a workout in. The alcohol is watered down--my friend took three shots and had two cocktails before she felt tipsy. There's higher quality alcohol, but it's actually not included. I wanted a shot of premium reposado tequila, but I had to pay $20 USD for that shot. I haven't tried the spa (and probably won't). One thing I do like about this hotel is the way it smells when you come in. It smells so good! But I wouldn't pay to stay here again. There's better all inclusive resorts in Cancun.

No, my Summer Body was not ready for me but I've been ready! And living it up beachside and poolside at Iberostar Selection Cancun reminded me that Summer is gon get whatevers in this bikini! I mean, how can you be self-conscious in Cancun?! Not this bikini babe! To celebrate my BFFs 30th birthday, she opted for the beautiful beaches of Cancun to relax upon. Having been vaccinated, I finally gathered the courage to get on a plane after a year+! As a frequent traveler, I've truly missed it, but happy to have waited until I was vaccinated and able to prep in advance. So when she told me we were staying at Iberostar, and in a swim-up villa to be more specific - OH BABY, I was thereeee! Upon entrance, Iberostar really sticks out. With its Mayan-like-shaped building, you can tell how grand it is from the drive up!! From the moment we walked up, it was a 5-star service! We were greeted, our bags sanitized, contactless temperature taken and taken to our room and when we walked into the lobby - PHEW! Gorgeous! The staff was SO friendly, so chatty, and kind, the check-in process was about 30-min it seems, but it went by smoothly thanks to the sweethearts at the counter. Let's get to the room: LISTEN. Maybe all this traveling on a dime is not all it's chalked up to be, LOL. I usually stay in nice spots, but not NICE spots because I'm cheap LOL but with my girls, of course, we had to live it up! Our swim-up room was beautiful! We opened our sliding door and waded right out to the beautiful pool we shared with 2-3 rooms next door, but still had our own level of privacy where we could lounge and look upon the beach. Our room was spacious and in an amazing location, I couldn't have chosen a better room! Iberostar being all-inclusive was superrrr clutch. It's always great to not have to worry about pulling out your card to pay or figuring out where to go for dinner because it's all included! Although never truly "top shelf", I enjoyed the unlimited Dos Equis, the champagne at brunch (some don't know it's available!), and the amazing Margarita with Tajin on the rim that I enjoyed at the fabulous swim-up bar! I didn't get to explore too many restaurants but the Buffet was my favorite surprisingly! Breakfast there was amazing every day, filled with such a great variety of options and I was excited to go back each morning. I really could go on forever because I truly enjoyed our stay here! The customer service was excellent, the food options were surprising and delicious, the views unbeatable - this is definitely a place to live your best life!!! (Safely. With a mask. )

Spent 3 days here last week with a group of girlfriends and we all had a good time. Facilities were clean (although the rooms were a bit run down) and the pool/beach area was beautiful. The staff was the highlight - everyone was so friendly and I appreciated the range of activities they had mapped out for us everyday. A big shoutout to Pedro, Jaime, Erich and Adrian for hosting all of the crazy games. The food at the buffet was very average (definitely recommend making reservations at the restaurants ahead of time if possible). Drinks were good and the bar was well stocked. All in all not bad for the price and I would recommend a visit!

The entire hotel is illuminated with L.E.D.'s. The space is immaculate. It was 1/4 mile from the room to the lobby. The ballrooms and convention spaces are like a stadium. (Indoors or outdoors). The public bus arrives every (2) minutes and are often full. It is approximately .50 US to go 30 miles downtown. Just looking at the creative ideas a child could write a book . "This ain't Tijuana". The malls and beaches are protected by federal soldiers and the streets have checkpoints every mile. They obtain your information and destination. If something is off a militia is on alert. We visited there one evening and have the best time and service! This isn't the same restaurant where you go to breakfast but at night is a Spanish tapas restaurant. Everything was fantastic but all the food on the property is really great! We especially loved to order lunch by the pool. All the cocktails are fantastic, even poolside! Rooms are standard JW with some of them recently updated with the others on their way to being updated. Yes, there is a sort of a musty smell in the air, but that's in most hotels. It's a very hard to keep those highly humid rooms from smelling a little musty. You just have to get over it and enjoy the time outside the room. Pools are super cute and the beach area is nice. There is an adult pool that is open during the day but wish it was open later! Lots of places in walking distance if you decide to venture out of the property but why would you need to! Easy drive from the airport and to the downtown or for departure to Isla Mujeres. We did not go to the island this time but last time we booked everything through the hotel and they made it super easy.

Unfortunately, for the past two years, our experiences have declined significantly. The hotel no longer maintains the level of service and standards we once loved. The atmosphere feels different, the staff are not as welcoming, and there is a noticeable lack of attentiveness and care. During this stay, we had a particularly unpleasant two-day experience at the beach regarding the setup of lounge chairs and umbrellas. Rather than going into every detail, I will simply say the situation was handled poorly and left us very disappointed. What was most upsetting was that no meaningful effort was made to resolve the issue or make up for the inconvenience. Even after speaking with Guest Relations, who mentioned contacting the General Manager, nothing improved the following day. No accommodation or gesture was offered, which was surprising given the hotel's luxury positioning. It is also noticeable that the property feels quite empty during weekdays, except on special occasions or long weekends. Even then, the warmth and hospitality we once associated with this hotel seem to be missing. That said, I want to sincerely recognize Valenzo, who served us daily. He was professional, kind, and incredibly attentive. We never had to ask for anything, he would notice small details, like refilling ice before we even realized it was melting. His service was outstanding and he truly tried to make our stay better. Thank you, Valenzo. You made a difference. It is genuinely sad to see a place that once meant so much to us lose its standard. We hope management takes guest feedback seriously and invests in retraining staff to restore the level of service this property was once known for.

Live Aqua Cancun was a really nice all-inclusive overall. Not perfect, but definitely a relaxing…read moreresort and a place I'd still give four stars. We checked in on a Sunday around 4:30, and the room was already cleaned up and ready. We stayed in one of the terrace rooms on the fourth floor, and the room was well maintained the whole trip. Housekeeping was really good, and the lady who seemed to consistently clean our room was super friendly. They also do evening turndown service between about 6 and 9, which I liked more than I thought I would. The food was hit or miss. Sea Corner was easily the biggest disappointment. You really have to like ceviche to enjoy that spot. I tried the battered fish taco, which was a really small rolled fried fish taco and honestly tasted kind of stale. The red snapper tostada was okay, but still pretty subpar. Overall, Sea Corner is one I would skip. Ciete's breakfast buffet was decent, but still very buffet. Some of the food had that stale, been-sitting-out-too-long taste, but the omelet bar and fresh juice/smoothie bar helped a lot. They have two omelet bars, which spreads people out, and Marco at the smoothie bar was awesome. He remembered me after my first smoothie and was friendly the rest of the trip. Azure was pretty good. We split hummus and pita, and I got the chicken in red wine. The chicken was cooked perfectly and came on a bed of mashed potatoes that were really good. Dessert was just okay. The baklava was very cinnamon-heavy and almost tasted like a churro. MB was good and definitely felt like their "dress up" restaurant. I had the stuffed chicken, my girlfriend had the veal cheek, and we also tried the filet mignon. The filet was cooked perfectly medium rare, and the meal overall was good. Not amazing, but one of the better dinners there. Hidden Garden was probably our favorite restaurant. We went there twice because it was that good compared to the other options. The samosas, gyoza, chicken satay, shrimp fried rice, and desserts were all really good. The Thao, basically their version of orange chicken, was also really good. The pad Thai was okay, but sweeter than I prefer. Their signature cocktails were also really good. The Thursday night show was a nice part of the trip. They had a buffet by the pool, with a mariachi band from 7 to 8 and traditional Mexican dancing from 8 to 9. The dancing was almost like a theater-style show, and that part was great. The buffet was on par or slightly below par. They had a crepe bar, a grill with pretty good steak and chicken, and a couple decent soups, but a lot of it still had that left-out-too-long, slightly stale buffet taste. The entertainment and activities were a big highlight. Trivia every night was great, and karaoke was a blast once people started getting into it. Pablo hosted trivia and karaoke with Jorge as the DJ, and Pablo brought a lot of energy. Jorge also DJs at Egos later at night, and they played a good mix of American dance music and Latin dance music. During the day, we tried archery, water aerobics, bingo, the guacamole class, casino night, and a self-facial class. Archery was a blast, and aqua aerobics in the infinity pool was really fun. Ricky was a ball of energy, and Jocelyn was really cool too. The activities did not feel like boring resort filler, which was a nice surprise. A few things could be better. Pool towel service closes at 6, even though people are still in the pool later. There is also basically no shade in most of the pools, so you get crispy pretty fast. They also need to be clearer about which pool beds are first-come, first-serve and which ones are paid or for Club Aqua. I saw multiple people get moved because it was not explained well. Communication could be better too. Some restaurants are closed on certain days, probably because the resort was around 50% capacity, but they should give you a schedule at check-in. We planned to try Verana, their Italian restaurant, and then found out it was closed that day. The humidity is something to think about. Obviously it is Cancun, but the indoor areas and hallways do not have much air circulation. Our fourth-floor hallway also had a broken water feature with sitting water, and I think that made the hallway smell more humid and musky than the rest of the resort. The drinks were decent, but I would not go in expecting strong resort cocktails. I drank margaritas and pina coladas most of the trip and never really felt much from them. For stronger drinks, shots are probably the better route. Overall, Live Aqua Cancun was a really nice, relaxing trip. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, the activities were way more fun than expected, and Hidden Garden was a nice surprise. The food is not amazing across the board, the pool setup could be better, and communication could use work, but I still had a really good time. ‍, o sea no es ALL INCLUSIVE!. Nos desilusionó BASTANTE porque pensamos que era un hotel del primera y no, es un hotel viejo, remodelado, oscuro y sin vibra, definitivamente no volveremos.

The staff is genuinely friendly, always smiling, and quick to help with anything. Casa Madre became my go‑to spot for breakfast. Tons of options, fresh food, and something for every mood. After that, I'd swing by the coffee shop, which surprised me in the best way. They don't have the fancy frappes or over-the-top drinks, but their "Special Coffee" (fresh coffee mixed with cinnamon and honey) is perfect. Simple, warm, and honestly better than anything blended. For lunch, the taco stand and the Mediterranean spot right next to it were both solid choices. The chicken was super soft and flavorful -- exactly what you want when you're grabbing something quick between pool time. Dinner was where the resort really shined. Delphini had an incredible ocean view that made the whole meal feel special. And the Japanese hibachi night was a blast -- great food, fun show, and it totally hit the spot. Overall, I loved my stay. Great value, great food, great people. Would absolutely come back.

The front staff and the support staff so gracious. From Friday morning breakfast to Sunday lunch until we left, we ate and drank like crazy. The hotel is so clean. Due to the sea weeds, the beaches were getting dirty and they clean it regularly. They gave us a late check out until 1 pm and it was free too. Room service is available in the all inclusive 24x7. Otherwise, the 9 restaurants are open during their posted hours. The Mexican food is great. Others are so so but for an all inclusive place, I have no complaints. If I were to come back here, I would choose the same place..Thank you Marriott group. You are exemplary.

Grand Oasis Cancun was the worst all-inclusive resort experience we've ever had…read more We booked this resort for our sons' senior graduation trip based on advertising that promoted it as a fun, energetic party resort. The reality was the exact opposite. Check-in took over an hour because staff claimed they couldn't find our Expedia reservation. Another person in our group had already paid for services through the resort's website but was repeatedly asked for additional payment. Our group spent an extra $1,000 on upgrades hoping to improve the experience. It didn't. The rooms were small, outdated, dirty, and not worth the extra cost. The food was terrible. We expected mixed quality based on reviews, but much of it was barely edible. Making dinner reservations felt intentionally difficult, and once we finally secured them, we were forced to sign agreements acknowledging additional fees if we were late. The biggest disappointment was the complete lack of atmosphere. There was very little music, almost no nightlife, and most activities shut down before 11 PM. We ended up leaving the resort almost every night so the boys could find entertainment elsewhere. What frustrates me most is how misleading the marketing is compared to the actual experience. After more than 15 years of booking travel through Expedia, I'm genuinely disappointed that Expedia continues to partner with and promote a resort that feels built around false advertising, upselling, and disappointing guests. We trusted the Expedia brand, and this resort fell far short of the experience it promised. Save your money and book somewhere else.

Of course. I only added Eddie into the service section and left everything else the same…read more I have gone back and forth on writing this review because there are so many things this resort does well, but overall my experience did not quite match the expectations I had from previous Hyatt stays. This was not my first visit to Hyatt Zilara Cancun and it was actually my amazing experience here in 2019 that started my loyalty to Hyatt. I am currently a World of Hyatt Discoverist member, and after my first visit to Zilara, we loved the Hyatt experience so much that we chose Hyatt Ziva for our vow renewal in 2022. Because of that, returning to Zilara was something I had looked forward to for years. First, the staff at this resort deserves so much recognition. My concerns are not a reflection of the employees because the service was consistently excellent throughout our stay. From before we even arrived to our final day, everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely wanted guests to have a great experience. Before our trip, Eddie reached out as our concierge and was extremely helpful in making sure we were prepared for our stay. He helped coordinate our spa services ahead of time and assisted us with securing a late checkout, which made our trip much smoother and more relaxing. At check-in, Luis helped us on the World of Hyatt side and was wonderful. He explained the changes and additions to the resort, helped us understand reservations, and made sure we had the information we needed. Throughout the resort, the service remained consistent. Even when I had a meal I didn't enjoy, a staff member at the teppanyaki restaurant was genuinely concerned, offered alternatives, and wanted to make it right. That level of care stood out. Our room was excellent. We stayed on the fifth floor in a corner room and it was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was fantastic, and I loved the pillows so much I am actually trying to find out what kind they are so I can buy them for home. The bathroom was great, especially the mirror with multiple lighting options. The shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water, which I always appreciate. The only thing I personally missed was having a bathtub, but overall I had no complaints about the room. The resort itself is beautiful and extremely clean. The pool area is relaxing with comfortable chairs, and it was never difficult to find a place to sit. The atmosphere is definitely more quiet and relaxing rather than a party environment, which can be a positive depending on the type of trip you want. The beach was well maintained, especially considering the seaweed situation during our visit. The staff worked hard to keep it cleaned up, and the things outside of the resort's control, like weather and ocean conditions, did not impact my opinion. The spa was absolutely phenomenal and I wrote a separate review specifically for that experience because it deserves its own recognition. The gym was also impressive for a resort gym. There was plenty of equipment, treadmills, a stretching/yoga space, and even a Pilates studio. I was hoping to participate in Pilates, but the class filled up quickly. I thought the fitness offerings were a nice addition. Where this stay fell short for me was the food. At an all-inclusive resort, the food experience is such a huge part of the overall value because you are eating every meal on property. When we visited in 2019, one of our favorite memories was eating at Pelicanos by the pool, so we were excited to return there first. We knew things had changed since our last visit, but unfortunately the quality and options did not feel the same. We tried several restaurants, and while the service was always great, the food itself was disappointing. The Italian restaurant felt very bland overall, although the bread service and tiramisu were enjoyable. The cacio e pepe and pasta dishes did not meet expectations. The teppanyaki experience also was not what I expected. I was hoping for more of a traditional hibachi-style experience, and the meat quality was disappointing. The buffet was fine, especially breakfast, but nothing really stood out. Room service was quick and the staff was friendly, but again the food itself was not something we loved. My favorite treat on property ended up being the ice cream at the coffee shop. The biggest thing I missed was having easy poolside food options. When I'm at an all-inclusive, I love being able to relax by the pool and grab things like quesadillas, ceviche, or small bites without stopping the pool day. The lack of that type of experience was probably my biggest disappointment. Drinks and pool service were great, and the staff did a wonderful job checking on guests. I personally don't drink alcohol, but it was clear they were attentive with beverages. Entertainment was limited compared to some other all-inclusive resorts. There were some activities and a few performances, but not the larger

WOW This is our…read morefirst resort in Cancun and I don't think we will ever choose another one. FOOD Wow. We did our homework before our trip and saw Zilara Cancun had good/decent reviews about their food. Let me tell you, this is probably the best food I've had in a long long time. Top dishes for me are the octopus with mole and lobster tostada from Maria Marie. If you like/can eat seafood, trust me on this. The drinks are phenomenal as well. There are signature drinks at all the restaurants. Those are mostly hits but some are misses (depends on your taste buds) PRO TIP: sign up for alcohol tastings at The Den first day you get there. We did tequila and wine tasting. It was quite a unique experience. SERVICE I've never gotten treated like this in any hotel I've been at. Chef's kiss for sure. The bellhop/front desk usually can break your 20s/100s into 1s so don't feel the need to exchange pesos (unless you want to of course). The workers at the hotel (and around Cancun overall) takes USD PRO TIP: there are a lot of activities hosted by the hotel. Morning exercise classes are really fun and the night shows are just okay. The crowd is definitely on the older side that just want to come to Cancun and chill not party. From hearing the reviews, Zilara had the most amount of activities from various first hand reviews from our friends All in all, solid resort. You won't regret it!
