So I was looking for a dessert place after a hearty meal and I pulled up some photos on Yelp for Ice & Bites and was immediately sold on the photos of their Taiyaki dessert!! Holy cow it looked heavenly so I had to come. This little Cafe is super cute inside with a little bench and table right when you walk in that's perfectly decorated for all you Instagram foodies to photograph. They also have a very cute logo and a dry erase board wall for customers to sign. They not only serve ice cream and boba teas, they actually have a large selection of small hot food dishes as well. I started off with a taro milk tea with a cloud, aka a puff of cotton candy that sits on top of an adorable Mason jar that holds your tea. You can also get the cloud on top of an affogato. Their teas are completely customizable. From the sugar content to the content inside to whether you want hot, cold, slush, etc. The owner is very friendly and is able to please all his customers. Great service!! The finished product was almost too cute to eat. The taro was rich and not super sweet which is perfect. Next came the Taiyaki I came for. I chose green tea ice cream and for only $1 more, I added pocky sticks and hazelnut stix as toppings. You can also do a syrup drizzle or cereal or a fruit skewer. All fun choices. It takes about 10 minutes to make the magic happen. The Taiyaki is know for the fish-shaped waffle-like cone. It's doughy and soft and absorbs liquid so you have to try to eat the ice cream relatively quick if you don't want the melted ice cream to soak into the base. I personally don't mind the sweet ice cream settling into the cakey Taiyaki. The green tea ice cream was fantastic! Lots of tea flavor. The Taiyaki was huge!!! I had the pleasure of attending an event awhile ago here and it was an afternoon filled with delicious food and drinks. Ice & Bites is located in a small plaza close to UCF, it's quick and cheap so the perfect place for college students on the go or looking for something good to eat that wont break the college students budget. Let me start off by saying the owner David, he is a genius and so creative it's absolutely breath taking, unique, and something I've never seen before. I really enjoy what he's doing here. We had the chicken katsu rice burgers (he has an option with tofu for you vegetarians out there), Taiyaki, chicken and pork egg rolls, crack fries, fried ravioli, a variety of drinks that you could add boba to too make them more fun. I should've taken notes to remember the exact names of everything he mentioned. If you're needing to satisfy your sweet tooth, ice & bites is the way to go! There's a variety of sweets they offer such as boba, sno ice, and the Taiyaki. I typically come in to get the Taiyaki which is a fish shaped waffle with about 2 scoops your choice of ice cream and extra toppings with an additional charge. (I recommend the Taro or Matcha ice cream!!) recently I got the Halo Halo sno ice, which I haven't gotten since last year and I forgot how delicious it was. The flavors between the Taro ice cream, egg pudding, condensed milk, rainbow jelly, toasted coconut shreddings, and red bean was the PERFECT combo. I was in the area for work and spotted this place driving by so I decided to stop in. This is my first time getting Taiyaki. I actually had never heard of this until I was here. The staff helped explain the menu to me as I was a bit confused when looking at it. I got the Taiyaki with green tea icecream, condensed milk drizzle, hazelnut stick and a fruit skewer. I would say I could have done without the hazelnut stick, but the rest of it was so delicious! It was huge, but I literally almost ate all of it. And of course cute kawaii decorated seating areas to provide a great backdrop to your social media pic. Well, my friends are psyched about this place, and their twist on ice cream is not only creative but in reality; a work of art. I think that if you eat dairy, and really want a tasty, and out of the ordinary dessert experience, you should definitely give this place a shot. Now; I felt limited, kinda like the bad kid who got sent to stand alone in the corner on time out because the Vegan options are limited. Don't get me wrong, I love that they actually even offer options, just wish it was more than the 2 shaved ice flavors and the fried tofu, and I think there's some hot tea that's also a vegan option, but the really cool stuff is something I guess I just have to watch my friends enjoy. On social media I've really seen Taiyaki becoming popular with its visual beauty. Dicsovering that Ice & bites offers these (I haven't seen any in Orlando yet) I was so excited to try them out. I got: Lavender ice cream Topped with coconut shavings, a fruit skewer, and a hazelnut stick. Drizzled in condensed milk Keep in min; the cone take about 10 minutes to make fresh, so be prepared to wait a little. But trust me, the wait is definitely worth it!! The ice cream was absolutely delicious with the delicate lavender flavor and the toppings really enhanced it. The fish cone was nice and warm when it came out but that too tasted delicious! It's a little thick but that's expected given the amount of things stuffed inside. Typically known for their specialty taiyaki, they also serve other tasty treats such as bubble tea, affogato, and savory foods (wings, dumplings, and other finger foods). LOVE this tea cafe! I have been going here since it was Snotea. It was the first place I had boba tea and the place that started my love of it (I even named my dog Boba). The service is always really pleasant. Over the years they have gotten more modern interior and updated seating. It had come a long way since Snotea. They have a very extensive drink menu. Whether you like milk tea, green tea, black tea, etc. there is a drink for everyone. They also served shaved ice with a lot of yummy toppings. The boba is always perfectly cooked and not gooey like other boba places. They have many types of tea add ins as well. This is one of those places that I had always seen on IG and other social media, but it was always just too far to drive. We opted to check it out on a day that we had to drop someone off at the airport. We ordered a bunch of food (chicken bites in the waffle, fries, dumplings, egg roll, chicken wings and chicken rice burger), but they were sadly out of the fried cheese curds and one other item. The staff were friendly and helpful at making recommendations, but the food took sooooo long to come out. There was one other couple that had just ordered and waited about 15 minutes after we ordered, our order came out staggered from about 20-30 minutes after we ordered. It just seems that they are working out of a quazi kitchen. The food was good and no complaints. The wings were nice and meaty and the seasoning was good. The egg rolls were fairly unimpressive and sogginess inside a nice crisp shell. Despite the wait, we still opted to order dessert. The kids went for ice cream and I opted for a snow (halo halo). I also ordered the cloud affogato. Again, we waited about 10 minutes for ice cream and about 15 for the coffee. This just dragged on. When I asked for an extra plate or tray for the cotton candy that was on the ice cream, I think I must have done something wrong. I was told that I should use a napkin, and wasn't allowed to have anything else. Shit just got really weird at this point as the two girls began talking amongst themselves about my preceding request. The ice cream scoops was a pain to eat since the ice cream was too top heavy, melted fast and almost tumbled down. Seems like soft serve would be a better approach to this. This place is super cute and delicious! There aren't very many places in Orlando that have taiyaki, so it was nice to see another place that specializes in it. Keep in mind, if you do order the taiyaki, it takes quite a bit to make, roughly around 10 minutes. I ordered the taro taiyaki, which comes with 2 toppings and 1 sauce for $1 extra. I ended up getting hazelnut stick, M&M's, and condensed milk. After the 10 minutes, my taiyaki came out crispy and warm! It was so good, but the only downside I would say is the presentation. The cup they put it in doesn't exactly hold it up together, you kind of have to hold it up yourself. I would like to see a better fitting cup to hold it in, or maybe something that molds better to the shape of the taiyaki. Nonetheless, the taiyaki was delicious! It would be nice to see if they could serve the ice cream in soft serve form in swirls like Taiyaki NYC! Definitely would be more aesthetic! read more

Boba and tea bring out the Asian in me, and with that being said, all expectations are exceeded here. Basic is as basic as I could possibly be, meaning sticking to my go to flavor, Taro. Most of the time, my boba has an artificial powdery taste that comes along with it. Drinks here says otherwise, as I chugged it down in no time with the unnoticed artificial powder. Snack menu includes chicken bites, chicken dumplings, jumbo wings, macarons, and tofu bites. I had the Taiyaki with green tea, mochi, condensed milk, and pocky. My friend had the chicken bites. First off, I love Taiyaki and Bungeoppang and all fish shaped pastries. It was only natural that I fell in love with the Taiyaki at Ice & Bites. The green tea ice cream was the perfect sweetness. Mochi and condensed milk really compliments the green coloring of the ice cream for Yelpers who are really interested in taking photos of their Taiyaki. Make sure you eat the pastry immediately after the picture taking session! My fish tail was already soggy and falling apart by the time I reached the end. The chicken bites didn't stand out to me in any way. In fact, they were pretty dry. I will be skipping those next time I come here and trying Ice & bite's milk teas instead. I have had this place bookmarked for quite a while, it's very close to UCF and I am always around it but never really stopped in. Today after some pizza across the street, we decided to walk over and try the insta worthy taiyaki! First thing I noticed was how cute this place was, plenty of seating and even an area to take pictures. The guy who took our order was SO nice and helpful. 5 stars for this adorable taiyaki icecream shop! The ice cream itself is super creamy and the taiyaki is a yummy waffle/pancake tasting treat. The taiyaki is crispy on the outside and soaks up the melting ice cream for a satisfying end. One downfall is a their small list of ice cream flavors, hopefully they will expand in the future. Their menu board is also super confusing for new costumers and I would recommend that they change the design. On my first trip here I only got their famous taiyaki ice cream but they also have many options of boba tea and even cotton candy affogatos. Cute cafe near UCF! This place is a little out-of-the-way for me, but it comes to mind when craving a sweet treat and I'll pass a few other dessert places to get here. One of the things I've really enjoyed is the Taiyaki which comes with a warm, freshly-made, fish-shaped waffle/cake stuffed with your choice of ice cream. I think you can also stuff it with savory things (like chicken). You can even add other toppings which I'll have to try next time. The Taiyaki portion size is pretty generous and I found it filling. Another favorite is the avocado blend with boba which has a nice, creamy avocado flavor that shines through. People-watching here is also fun, since as well as having tasty treats, they have a very instagrammable aesthetic so I see students posing with those cute affogato cups topped with cotton candy next to the wall decor. They also have games you can play as you enjoy your sweet treats. Overall, a really delightful place to get a quality drink or dessert at a fair price. Also, don't forget your punch card! So so good. I got the Thai Tea Sno with mixed jelly, poppers, mochi and sweet milk syrup as my free toppings. The lady who helped me was super nice and let me know what she recommended and what everything was. My partner got a Taro tea slush with cotton candy which was about a 3 dollar add on. I have seen some reviews saying it's pricey but for the Sno I got a "small dressed" cup and that includes 3 toppings and a syrup and it was quite big for a small size. The drinks are moderately priced especially if you have been to a lot of boba shops they tend to be around 5 dollars or so. read more

They have boba tea, Pat Bing Soo (Korean shaved ice), macarons, and a lot of other yumminess on their menu... but I was set on the ice cream Taiyaki. Taiyaki is a waffle-like dough that is pressed into a fish shape. Theirs is filled with your choice of a single flavor ice cream. For $1, you can add 2 choice toppings and a sauce. I got coffee ice cream with a fruit skewer and a Pocky stick. I did skip on the sauce. The taiyaki is HUGE! I do suggest sharing with a friend. The dough is so moist and goes great with the chill of ice cream. The fruit on the skewer is really fresh (blue berries, strawberries, and black berries), and on the bottom, there were even some fruit mochi. I LOVED my dessert. I definitely recommend coming to Ice & Bites for a chill time! There's couches and single chairs for you and friends to hang out.
