I got the cup because I didn't want it to get messy but I should have, the cup doesn't have as much of the ice cream as the cones. Ice Cream BAE (Before Anything Else) is such a fun little ice cream shop at Park Place. Upon first glance, this ice cream shop is what Instagram dreams are made of. It's clean, minimalistic, has a neon sign for photo opportunities and has a menu full of unique and fun flavors. My husband and I visited on a Friday night and there was about a 20 minute wait with maybe 4 parties ahead of us. It wasn't super quick, but the wait was well worth it. The soft serve is high quality and you can choose to make your own or choose one of their signature creations. I got the S'mores and my husband got the Cookies and dream in a cone. We both loved our ice cream, but next time we would do it a cup so it would be easier to eat. read more

I finally got to try their Ube soft serve and it did not disappoint!!! So good especially on a super hot day after taking an 8 hour board exam. Had to wait in line - somewhat awkwardly with the door open. I think they should set up some ropes or something to form a bending line inside - there was definitely room inside for it but Covid so who knows? I chose the Ube You Be My Bae and my friend got the Strawberry Shortcake. Once we paid, we stood back and waited for our ice cream. Once we got the ice cream, we left (there's no indoor seating) and we went to sit in her air-conditioned car. It was so good. The Ube with the crunchy sweet fruity pebbles and condensed milk was not too rich but perfectly balanced. So delicious. I had a bite of the strawberry shortcake and it was also really refreshing and flavorful. Highly recommend. I wish they were located closer to me. read more

First time here. Probably wouldn't go back. We ordered an Oreo coffee shake, which my son proclaimed was OK. We also got the signature Cinnamon Toast Brunch. While the flavor was good (not outstanding), the presentation was a far cry from the IG posts. It was like a leaning tower, falling out of the cup. For $13, we'll go to our regular place in south OP. Employees were also lackluster...weren't in a rush to greet us, not outright unfriendly, but not friendly either. And as others mentioned, there are 2 barstools in there for seating, so don't plan on staying to eat unless you're standing. read more

We dropped by for some ice cream on a chilly day and were not disappointed! The store moved from the Plaza Made in KC location to Leawood, and paired well with our Trader Joe's run. These guys specialize in soft and what I would call "medium" serve ice cream and cereal creations. It is an Instagrammer's paradise with chic decor, a neon sign, and colorful creations worthy of photography. We opted for two of their premade creations - the cinnamon toast crunch and strawberry shortcake options. They blend vanilla ice cream with cereal mix ins and top with things like teddy grahams, cinnamon buns and the like. I also got a fun blue corn cone that was very unique. For now, you'll have to enjoy your treats outside, but there was ample seating in the shopping area that surrounds the store. We'd come back to try the soft serve side of the house. read more

It was creamy from the ube with the slight fruitiness of the fruity pebbles. It was pretty good but nothing mind-blowing. But I recently tried their Leawood location and had the strawberry shortcake ice cream with shortcake crumbles and strawberries. Oh man, it was sooo good! It tasted similar to the strawberry shortcake bar you get from the ice cream truck, but 100 times better. If you come here for the first time, I highly recommend getting this one. read more

Ok so I want to start by saying it's not bad ice cream. If you like unique flavors/colors that a typical ice cream place doesn't have this is likely a good starting point. I have never sat at home craving Ube (which I didn't know was purple potato until I googled it) or matcha powder. The best thing they've done is have an available array of "signature" flavor combos to choose from. I tried the Cinnamon Toast Crunch. It was adorable - a nice swirl of ice cream with cinnamon toast crunch blended in, a few teddy grahams sticking out the side and topped with a cute mini cinnamon roll. On paper this sounds awesome, the issue is blending that much cereal into a soft serve ice cream makes it extremely gritty and you lose that creamy soft serve mouth feel. So as stated above, not bad, but it's just not what I look for when I want ice cream. read more
