First time at this great ice cream store! My mom lives in the senior community next door. She and her friends were talking about visiting the ice cream store the next day. I gathered them all up the next day and took them to try them out. They were like kids in a candy store! After a couple samples we all settled in for a great treat. The friendly young people working behind the counter offered generous scoops. I think the pricing is fair because they use good ingredients. Ice cream is a multi-generational treat. We decided to end our anniversary date with some ice cream. I have a terrible intolerance to tree nuts, so I planned on not having any treats but I wanted to see what they had. They have four dairy-free ice cream options which I should have gone for since I have some minor dairy problems. Then I looked to the left and they listed all of the allergens for each flavor. I was able to easily find something without tree nuts and I didn't have to feel embarrassed to ask. The one scoop costs $4.50, and it is a generous scoop!! It was a great dessert. An amazing ice cream place that makes their own unique flavors. I stopped by several times when I'm back visiting the family and have never been disappointed. The staff has been amazing and let me try some of those odd flavors that you're either going to love or hate to not make me waste the money on something that's just not for me. As a lover of coffee ice creams, theirs is on point. You can tell that it is not artificial like some places are and that they use real coffee in it. A surprising one that I wished would be available everywhere was the lavender honey. I was hesitant at first prior to trying it as most lavender ice creams are just overly artificial tasting. It ended up being a nice light floral taste with the burst of honey flavor at the end that gave it a natural sweetness. You could taste the actual honey used and the two in combination were just a perfect fit. If they have that flavor anytime I am back in the area, I will be getting some to go on top of the scoop for there. Definitely try if you are passing through or live nearby. read more

The ice cream is homemade as is their waffle cones. You are immediately engulfed in the amazing smell of the waffle cones when you walk in. The ice cream is smooth but holds strong for the duration you eat it, no melted mess. The flavors are subtle so that you can still taste the ice cream base not just mix ins. They offer ice cream pies and milk shakes as well. Service is extremely welcoming and friendly. Restroom and seating area were all clean. They even offer sample bites. We did remember all the kids and no cats escaped. Upon our arrival to OMS at 8:45, we were greeted with smiles and cheerful employees. Even with only 15 minutes till close they took care of us with no hesitation. 10 scoops and 6 happy kids later we were out the door. Kudos to the employees for their great attitudes. I'm from Belton, and although I no longer live there, I'm back often because I still have family there. As far as I can remember, Belton has never had an ice cream shop this good. I'm also an ice cream fanatic, and have been to many ice cream joints around the US. I have seen many unique flavors, but One More Scoop had new flavor combinations that made it difficult to choose from! I went with the Texas Sheet Cake, and it was delicious. It had a hint of cinnamon in it that I was not expecting but loved it. My daughter only goes for chocolate, no matter where she goes, and the chocolate fudge did not disappoint. My other daughter got the raspberry cheesecake. Another hit. They even had some dairy free options. I did not try these, but it's nice to see they had other options for people who cannot have dairy. The prices were good, too. $3.00 for a small cup or cone and $6.00 for a shake. We went on a Tuesday evening and the line was out the door pretty much the entire time we were there, but the line moved quickly. The staff were friendly and helpful, and although I did not ask to try any flavors, many people in line were getting samples before ordering. There is a small amount of seating inside and some chairs outside. As I said, I no longer live in Belton, which is a good thing, because if I did, I fear I would make too many trips back to One More Scoop to try more flavors and my waistline would show it! That being said, I'm already planning how to fit in another visit the next time I'm in Belton. read more

We usually visit one more scoop at least once a week. I have a peanut allergy so they were always willing to get a clean scoop and scoop it from the back so it wasn't contaminated. The general manager told me it was against their policy to do this today and said they would no longer get clean Icecream even with a peanut allergy. No more one more scoop for us! read more
