smash The Smash & Grab Burger
    Kelly N.

My husband and I are not adventurous when it comes to BBQ, we have our go to when we're craving it. But word on the street is Meat Mitch has a killer smash burger, so of course I had to check it out! And can confirm, the smash burger was very good! My husband ended up getting some BBQ to try and it was good, but the smash burger was really where it was at! Service was good, our waitress was very nice. The dining area was bigger than I expected it to be. It would be a fun place to visit in the spring/ summer to utilize the outdoor area!

I always love coming here! The food is always tasty and there's always something for anybody, no matter your diet instructions. The service this time was a little slow, but definitely understandable with the amount of customers that our waitress was waiting on. She was really friendly and sweet. The ambience here is like a family sports bar, barbecue, and unique eat joint that makes you want to come back for Moore.

I ordered the burnt end birria tacos, which are the Tuesday special. It was around $16 and was absolutely amazing. It was packed full of flavor with the meat being super tender. The only complaint for the tacos would be that the corn tortillas were soggy instead of crispier. The service was super friendly, the server told us her favorites and was very kind. Even while leaving they were very nice. I also tried the sticky fries which were very unique and good. The overall vibe was very busy even tho our food did not take very long to come out.

The Return! So this is a bit of a story. I am sitting on the couch watching some video about a guy that travels the world eating (I wish I were one of these people), and he is trying Kansas City area BBQ. Oh, and this is part 2! So, after scoffing because these are always the same, I proceeded to watch. Like ya do! In this video, the guy goes to Meat Mitch, and they bring him something brand new. A burnt-end corndog! I immediately call up my friend David L. (see his Yelp reviews, he's nicer than me) and have him meet me here specifically for the Burnt-end Corndog. I need to let you know that this item is ONLY on the happy hour menu, and of course, we were several hours away from happy hour. But, the staff said "no problem and got it for us anyway! We also enjoyed other items off the appetizer menu and a few beers. All I can say at this point is I can't wait to go back and get another!

Okay I was so hungry I forgot to take pics of the food. I did get the meat platter. The turkey was dry and the 2 sides were cold- corns and beans. Should they be? The burnt ends were incredible and so was the pulled pork. I also loved the BBQ sauces. I did take pics of the cocktails. Reservations on a weekend night recommended. I will be back!

Average: The sausage was pretty normal for a BBQ restuarant. Burnt ends were good, held their own. Brisket was good balance of fat, tenderness and not dry. Above average: Turkey stood out as the winner. Not a lot of BBQ restaurants have it, very moist. Street corn had a great kick. Reminds of me literally what you would find in the street in a place like L.A. Wings, oh yea, the dry rub was solid. Service good, ambiance nice.

Place is amazing. Enjoy the portion sizes. The burnt ends are so soft and melts in your mouth. The chicken wings garlic Parmesan buffalo are soooo good and not hot at all. The ribs are fall off the bone tender and the jalapeño cheesy corn is also good. Their roasted Brussels sprouts with bacon jam is soooo tasty and the roasted squash with goat cheese is amazing. Great atmosphere. The service is always spectacular. Food is nice and hot and on time before time. Also the blueberry bread pudding with vanilla ice cream is delicious.

The Pitch Sandwich Week Texas Ranger 1/2 price $7.50 (original $15) This is a pretty solid barbecue beef brisket sandwich however, it could use some more pizazz. The cheesy corn on the other hand, no notes. It carries the whole meal and is a must order, maybe it's a midwestern barbecue thing but, cheesy corn has my heart and soul. I'm not sure what charred mayo is but, what I am sure of is it added a much needed creaminess to a sandwich that could pull dry. The other component of this sandwich which makes it rich and wet is the cheese fondue that's added on top, the peppery punch of the pepperjack Is just the right amount of spice. I've come to love the addition of a crispy fried onion on top of just about anything and especially on top of a barbecue sandwich! If anything was missing I feel like it needed more of a pickled element, I would have loved some sort of freshness from a little bit veg (one that wasn't fried) Overall Meat Mitch has got the meat part down to near perfection, as far as a sit down barbecue restaurants go (in the suburbs, on the *scoff* KS side) this is as good as it gets. I love the openness of the restaurant but it can get loud. The most fun thing this places offers is the Whomp popcorn you can purchase and take home that's generously dusted with special seasonings. The con of this place is definitely the prices, they are sit down prices for sure but, the service doesn't always match the price point. Meat Mitch is definitely one of the big boys when it comes to "fancier" barbecue options but, if you're like me then wait for a (Pitch) promotion.

NOT the best bbq in KC. Joes will always outshine. What I did not like most was the burnt ends. Dry, fatty, and sauce was blah. The rosemary carrots were way too overpowering with rosemary and I was so excited for those! Fries were good. Service took about 20 mins for carry out which I found odd, and the place was empty. I would not eat here again. Not when there are a dozen better bbq joints in the area.

    zcheckmate- Loaded Baked Potato
    Brandon S.

Staff were extremely friendly, with them giving me extra sauce to try since this was my first time eating there. They had this cool installation of Weber Grill covers used as chandeliers. Very clean and well kept up both in and outside. Now the food was legit. The load baked potato was filled with tender burnt ends under all of the toppings. The loaded curly fries had candied bacon & crispy pulled pork, absolutely delicious. What's not pictured is the jalapeño & Jack cheese sausage, which I ordered cold and used in breakfast hash bowls. Will definitely go back again and try more items.

    Burnt ends corndog

Stopped in after hearing about the Burnt ends Corndog, which apparently was not supposed to be an actual menu item but enough people requested it they added for lunch. The staff was amazing and offered to make us one during the dinner time. It was absolutely amazing, one problem is there we only ordered one!!! The Meat Tower was a great mix of meats from Candied bacon, meat spread, sausage, nachos, wings and fried pickles. There is almost more than two people can eat. Well worth the price and every bite worth!!

Naked & Afraid with corn on the side
    Frank S.

The food and service were amazing. The cheesy hog fries were tasty and enough food to feed two people and the naked and afraid sandwich was delicious.

Their burnt ends are incredible and unique. These may be some of the best in the city. I wouldn't have thought that a year ago but their consistency, uniqueness, and flavor is top notch. I brought a pound down the Arkansas for thanksgiving and they loved them. The great thing about Meat Mitch is that after making an online account for To Go orders I have received multiple $5 off in the last year and it comes in handy when I'm in the area. I have accounts with Joes, Jack Stack, and Q39 and don't get that much off in coupons. Q39 gives me free appetizers but I don't use them. These pictures were the last Burnt ends I got and as you can see you can't get much better than that people! Incredible. 10/10 Loyal to returning and referring others to Meat Mitch.

Burger night (Mondays?) is $2 off the specialty burgers, and I recommend that Diablo Burger if you like a little heat. Overall - fun and quirky environment with lots of yummy food options…read more Menu: EXTENSIVE menu with lots of options to choose from... to the point that it can get a lil overwhelming. Thankfully most items have a reference picture so it was easier to gauge what you're getting, which I appreciated. I'd recommend getting the Honky Tonky (with bbq sauce on the side) bc it was a perfect balance of salty and sweet. Other burgers were good too (not all were shown n some I forgot the names), so high chance they'll turn out good. Appetizers id recommend (not shown) is the Spare Parts Appetizer that lets you sample a lot. Several were good like the jalapeños n cheese curds. As for the price and portion though, I don't think it was that worth it.... The burgers aren't that big compared to other places and the fries portion was kinda small too. So for the price of $20 after tax, just not worth it. Yummy but I could always get burgers somewhere else too. Atmosphere: if you're into cars, bikes, all the edgy garage and western decor, you'll like this place. It was fun to look around and see how this place was decorated. It can be a lot though. In terms of space wise, lots of rooms and tables around. We had a party of 11 and were thankfully able to make it work on a busy day. Service: our server was chill and patient with us. Felt like our burgers came out at a reasonable timeframe. Summary: was good and even though yummy, probably more of a 1 visit every few months bc the portion to price ratio isnt it imo :( especially if I can get burgers and fries in bigger (n refillable) elsewhere. Would highly recommend trying though!!
