Friendly service, clean atmosphere, and not only do they serve ice cream, but you can even get real food here too, as indicated on the large menu on the wall. It's apparent that this location has been here for a while by all of the pictures on the wall and thank you letters written by many of the youthful patrons. I ordered the cherry and chocolate milkshake, because we were on our way out of town and I had to drive, and I was not disappointed. This milkshake was everything that I could hope for, with chunks of real cherries and black chocolate, all chopped up small enough to fit into the straw so that you don't implode your ears while sucking it down. I'll be back again next time I'm on the island and look forward to some more sampling (which they let you do before choosing a flavor). read more

A great spot to enjoy your ice cream and gorgeous views. The scoops are huge and $4.25. There are outdoor tables, live music, crab races and sand bag toss right outside. Great place with kids. For many years we have visited this place whenever we were in the Kiawah area and thoroughly enjoyed the tasty ice cream, breakfasts and lunches and the friendly owner. The food is still yummy but unfortunately the ambience has greatly changed. The friendly owner is still there, but the place has become a shrine to Trump --- hats touting Trump actually cover the ice cream counter. Of course, everyone is entitled to an opinion but politicizing your place of business, no matter what candidate you support, does not seem like a good practice. We're not comfortable there anymore. read more

I spent a week down in South Carolina in what seemed to be the hottest week all summer. Imagine my relief to find this cute ice cream shop right down the dock from where I was staying. The ice cream selection is limited to Edys flavors, but there are a variety of speciality items you can order. I tried the banana fosters sundae and was I happy! The sauce was warm and delicious while the vanilla ice cream was topped with a generous helping of bananas. The real reason my boyfriend and I kept visiting? The owner. He was friendly and always willing to answer our questions or give recommendations. I will say this, they have a breakfast menu that is delicious. It is very straightforward and no frills. My boyfriend and I tried the French Toast and a breakfast sandwich of eggs, bacon, and cheese on a crossiant. The prices were reasonable and the portions nice without being too much. read more

The service is nice but the ice cream is just the generic store-bought type and the sprinkles are always stale. I'd recommend going to Ben n Jerry's instead. read more

The guy was extremely nice but the ice cream was not overly impressive. The ice cream portions were not large and limited flavors with the store bought type were not extremely impressive either. Really nice guy and experience would probably go again but not necessarily the best. He did an excellent job of making the younger kids feel welcomed with the "magic" of getting them colored cones that were their favorite color. read more

Love this little shop! Great owner, great service and great ice cream. Every time we stay out at Seabrook we visit here at least 2 or 3 times. It is much more affordable than its competitor at Freshfields Village and usually much shorter lines. read more

Nothing special. A small selection of Edy's - only place nearby you can get an ice cream without having a private pass into the resort, and nice to sit by the marina, but owner has an obnoxious anti-ACA sign on the cash register that almost sent me packing. Keep your Pelosi-insulting politics to yourself, buddy. So off-putting. read more

Todd, the Owner, goes out of his way to welcome everyone.. And it's genuine. The staff is friendly and the ice cream prices are the best on the island. You truly get your monies worth here. Also, their breakfast is fantastic. My girls get the nutella pancakes and I love their Greek omelet, made to order. We ride our bikes there from Seabrook at least twice a week! read more

When visiting Kiawah, the Ice Cream Boat is the only place to go. Although it's a drive off island it is clean and friendly (can't say the same for Marble Slab). The ice cream is also reasonably priced. Three ice creams were half the price than the Sanctuary. Finally the owner was the icing on the cake so friendly and happy to see customers. He surprised each of my boys with blue cones. My boys were talking about the cones all the way back to Kiawah! Support local and head to the Ice Cream Boat. The view is beautiful as well. read more

My daughter and her friend left their wallets at the marina. An honest person found the wallets and turned them in to the Ice Cream Boat for lost and found. She immediately called my daughter explaining where she could find the wallets. Unfortunately, The Ice Cream Boat couldn't find the wallets when they went to pick them up that SAME day. They implied a customer must have stolen the wallets. Draw your own conclusion, but I don't trust the employees. read more

Favorite ice cream spot in Kiawah , and we hit a different spot most nights but came back here twice because it was so good. Owner is great. Super friendly. Big Ohio fan. Ice cream doesn't change much from place to place but when you leave a place happy to have been there it is worth it. Loved the cherry chocolate ice cream.
