    Tofu Karaage
    Haneen S.

Ichi Koroshi is hands down my favorite ramen spot in the Tampa Bay area. I was beyond excited to discover that a couple of the original founders of Ichicoro opened up Ichi Koroshi, bringing back some of their iconic dishes -- including my all-time favorite: the Abura Soba. I'm a huge fan of brothless ramen, and Ichi Koroshi absolutely nails it. The Abura Soba is rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with a garlicky, spicy kick. I usually sub the chasyu asado and bacon for mushrooms and add an extra poached egg -- it's chef's kiss. Ichi Koroshi is located inside Jug & Bottle, which makes for a super chill and laid-back vibe. You can enjoy your ramen inside or take it to go. Also, don't sleep on the tofu karaage -- it's insanely good. It is perfectly crispy on the outside, well seasoned, and just the right amount of spice. The regular karaage is also a must-try. The dipping sauce takes it over the top and brings out all the juicy, savory flavors of the chicken. While the Abura Soba is my personal go-to, everything I've tried from the menu has been top-tier. If you love ramen, this place is a gem. Highly recommend!

I built my own bowl today with chicken broth and added beef, green onions, fish cakes, bean sprouts, and corn. It seriously looked like a rainbow and tasted just as good. I ended on a sweet note with the black sesame mochi dessert :) Service was friendly and quick for lunchtime and the portions were solid for the price. If you're into good ramen, this place is definitely worth checking out!

The Ramen is okay, but it just doesn't hit like before. The restaurant was a laid back vide with Japanese inspired themes and music in the background. Our server points us to our table and hands us menus to start. We always start out with an edamame appetizer and then go ahead and order the ramen. My partner got the spicy tonkatsu and I had wanted to do the "make your own ramen" option. I really wanted wagyu but didn't like the toppings it came with. So I just made my own, though it was very costly to add more toppings, so I just chose 2. Overall, the experience was okay. It's not the worse ramen place I've been to but I'll probably only swing my when it's out of convenience

Didn't need all the micro greens for garnish on top but this could be overlooked because taste and flavor was amazing. The tuna tartare was super tasty as well and I would definitely order this again same comment for micro greens on this dish - didn't need this and found myself moving it off the dishes to actually enjoy the item. The two not so favorite dishes for me were the fried rice topped with fried chicken. While chicken was very tasty the rice was extremely basic. Could have used eggs or other ingredients to elevate this dish. Also the Volcano roll was extremely disappointing. Normally the volcano topping is cooked or (torched) and this topping was cold and very unappetizing. Would not recommend this roll. Overall this place is a hit or miss. Service for our large party wasn't bad and everything came out pretty quickly!

Food is terrible - they even forgot the egg as a part of my ramen and brought me a frozen egg when I mentioned the missing item which was disgusting. Octopus is so tough and chewy. Terribly cooked from frozen. Mango sticky rice is absolutely horrendous. Nothing like what you expect. Temperature is terrible - they don't use A/C so it's incredibly hot and humid in restaurant. Avoid this place at all costs.

The flavors were authentic, well-balanced, and left me wanting to try even more from the menu. The service was equally impressive. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, consistently checking in to make sure everything was perfect and asking if we needed anything. It's refreshing to experience service that genuinely makes you feel welcomed and appreciated. The ambiance completed the experience. The restaurant was spotless, thoughtfully designed, and felt like a little slice of Japan in Florida. From the decor to the overall atmosphere, it truly felt like being transported to Japan for the evening. Great food, outstanding service, and an incredible atmosphere. This is a place I'll absolutely return to whenever I'm back in the area.

The cocktails are pretty sweet and tasty, I enjoyed the yuzu cocktail a lot. I wouldn't come for their sushi, but for late night bites and tapas, I would definitely order. Parking is tough, it's very crowded in the restaurant. The sushi rice was not good whether it was on a roll or not, the sashimi is not as fresh. The tuna was tough. Was it worth 50 minutes probably not.. but it's good for an experience this was my 2nd time here, and I don't live in this area but my brother wanted to try this place. Our waiter was not as friendly. Everything felt kind of rushed because there was such a long wait. This place is kinda pricey overall. All the tables were close to eachother, but very nice decor.
