Update: I honestly feel bad updating this review because I love supporting local businesses, especially one right down the street from my home. We frequent this restaurant often, I've noticed a high turnover in servers and initially assumed the slow service was due to that. However, during a non-busy lunchtime , with only about five other tables, it took 30 minutes to receive a hibachi chicken plate and a kids' meal. My daughter was not very happy needless to say . That wait time felt excessive and made me question what's happening in the kitchen. I understand it's the holiday season and that waiting is sometimes expected, but a long delay for a 15 table restaurant is disappointing. The server mentioned that 30 minutes is normal for a hibachi chicken plate, which seems a bit long to me. I usually gravitate toward Asian restaurants because service tends to be quicker, so this experience was surprising. For now, I may stick to my usual Vietnamese and Korean go-to spots, but I truly hope this improves because I want to continue supporting this local business. Additionally, the fried banana side that comes with the kids' meal has been consistently inedible. Ten times out of ten, it's extremely greasy, more like biting into a hot grease ball than bananas. It doesn't feel very healthy or even safe for children.

Was in the area and decided to try the Minano Ramen. The restaurant decor is very fun Asian themed, the staff is friendly and attentive. loved that the menu had pictures of the food and a good selection of Ramen dishes, as well as appetizers. We had the Yakitori Grilled chicken breast which was delicious very well seasoned however grilled squid appetizer was extremely chewy. The Tonkotsu Ramen was good but a bit pricey

Had the seafood Ramen this time with the wheat noodles. Love the bite on the wheat noodles the seafood while frozen had a nice flavor. Seems like whenever I'm in this area I have to stop here.

Love the place with their brightly colored décor and energetic anime music. Service was very helpful with explanations and recommendations. We like Ramen but still don't know very much about it so the help was appreciated. Once we finally decided it didn't take long at all for the bowls to arrive. I had read in another review if I wanted Tonkotsu to get the spicy one, so I did. It was richly delicious and I still find Ramen fun to eat with chopsticks and the big spoon. There was some spiciness added to the broth which just made it better. The pork chashu was very tender, which made it easy to eat. We all enjoyed our food.

Good ramen for Westchase but Tonkatsu soup can use more depth of flavor. We were in the area and stopped by after reading some reviews. If you're looking for a ramen, this place fits the bill. Wonderful decor and pleasant service. I just hope to get a soup that wows but was missing a best or two. The Minano ramen had both chicken and pork...stick with the regular Tonkatsu or spicy since the chicken was mid. Not much flavor. I do prefer Sun Ramen noodles with a chew. These were verging a bit more like Chinese egg / ramen noodles. I can see how people roiled like to come and hang out for the experience. Bathroom lights were a bit dim and paper towels needed refilling for both genders...these things count. YMMV. Enjoy

This place is super cute! My partner was feeling under the weather and wanted soup for lunch. We found Minano on yelp and here we are. Inside is decorated and is very cozy! Came on Friday around noon and we were the only people inside. Takoyaki: 4/5 Thank goodness for a good Takoyaki place. Delicious and fresh. Only reason for the 4 was that they're a little small, but overall great. Shouyu ramen: 3.5/5 The broth itself wasn't extremely flavorful, but with some chili fakes the flavor skyrocketed. The chashu was yummy, but a little tough and the noodles weren't entirely my favorite. With that being said, the whole bowl was tied together perfectly. The nori and fish cakes complimented all the flavors and it was a delicious bowl of ramen! Minano Ramen: 4.5/5 Chashu was a bit tough, but the flavor and overall bowl of ramen was amazing. It's a good serving size and is very presentable. Overall I had a great time here. Our server was kind and the food came out quickly. The menu is large, so I'll definitely be back to try out more items.

We were celebrating a birthday with 7 of us.... We all had a great time and everyone enjoyed the food. The gyosa appetizers were a favorite. Dessert was a surprise too. Service was absolutely outstanding. The decor and vibe were great too. We'll def be back to this place. Yum

Very nice cozy place in Westchase. We came here for late Sunday lunch. Service was super friendly and attentive. We got edamame, vegetable ramen and seafood ramen. All food was pretty good, fresh and tasty. They had pretty decent pricing as well and they have some nice deals for lunch during the week. Ambience is pretty cozy.

Was looking for a spot to grab dinner solo on a cold night and passed Minano Ramen. It had a charming look and I wanted to check it out! It turns out I made a great decision. I immediately loved the decor inside, it was an explosion of lanterns, colors, and tapestries. It was pretty busy inside but not too loud. My server, Dustin, came over soon and I ordered the Tonkotsu ramen. Legitimately in less than 5 minutes he came back with my bowl! I was amazed at the speed of service. Dustin also helped me decide which boba to get and I went with the Minano tea (just a classic milk tea with boba). The ramen was just classic and the tea was great as well. Overall, this was a solid ramen spot and had great service. I don't live anywhere near here but hope to come back someday!

Minano Ramen is my go-to comfort food. Savory, fresh, soul-hugging perfection every single time. Honestly, they have everything I need... and even my pup approves (Hibachi bites + ramen eggs = chef's kiss) Comfort food that feeds everyone in the family? That's elite behavior.

Date night approved! Dined here on a Saturday night during a short weekend trip and my husband and I had a GREAT time. Our waiter, Toby, was full of energy, extremely friendly and made some great recommendations. I ordered the vegetable ramen and added shrimp-- unfortunately you pay $5 for two very small pieces of shrimp (Toby warned me! lol) also had the squid as an appetizer; for as long as it takes to prepare, it did come out colder than I expected. My favorite part was the ambiance! They did a real good job at making you feel like you're in a ramen restaurant in Japan not of an anime.

The food was good. The interior of the space is well decorated and the staff was super nice. We ordered ramen. They have this cool thing where if you spend over ($30 or $35, I don't remember), you spin the wheel and you get whatever discount or free item for the next time you dine in. I'd definitely come back, only because my free item is the free gyoza app

    Megan M.

Went here for happy hour and and were very impressed with both the food, ambiance, and service. We got a number of Yakitori: Chicken, pork belly, and shiitake mushroom, all were delicious. Takoyaki were very authentic and similar to what we ate in Japan. Finally, we shared a bowl of Black Tonkatsu that was to die for. They offer a 2 for $60 dinner deal 2 bobas, an app, 2 ramens, and a dessert that we will definitely be back for!

I really loved the concept of small plates, which makes it fun to order a variety of dishes and share with the table. The atmosphere is lively, stylish, and perfect for a night out. That said, while the food was good, nothing really wowed me enough to make me say, "I have to come back for this dish." The biggest downside is that Taro Bar doesn't take reservations for parties of six or less, so we ended up waiting about an hour to be seated. Overall, I'd say Taro Bar is more about the drinks, vibes, and trendy atmosphere than the food. If you're looking for a fun, fashionable spot to grab cocktails, socialize, and enjoy the scene, it's worth checking out. Just be prepared to wait, especially during a busy weekend!

When your food is ready, they call your name over a microphone and you bring it to your table, which is available on a first come first serve basis. There's not really anyone working the front counter, which I thought was interesting. There's picnic tables out front where people were sitting with their dogs, so appears to be pet friendly outside. I had the curry with tofu and vegetables. I ordered spicy and enjoyed it. The heat kind of creeps up on you. I will order this again. BF had the chicken katsu - the chanko sauce was so good on it. The pickled daikon is a great touch, and if you like pickled veggies, that tiger slaw is AMAZING. We ordered a small plum wine to split. Portion sizes are HUGE, so I appreciated that everything was served in to-go containers. We definitely had leftovers that I may or may not have eaten for breakfast this morning. One thing I felt could be improved is that it's a little warm inside. Clearly they know that because there were fans on the counter. It's Florida and it's summer and their kitchen is busy in a small space, so probably the A/C is just a little overwhelmed. Great place overall.

The two not so favorite dishes for me were the fried rice topped with fried chicken. While chicken was very tasty the rice was extremely basic. Could have used eggs or other ingredients to elevate this dish. Also the Volcano roll was extremely disappointing. Normally the volcano topping is cooked or (torched) and this topping was cold and very unappetizing. Would not recommend this roll. Overall this place is a hit or miss. It comes on a bed of tuna carpaccio which makes for a nice presentation. The kamo crostini (duck breast with onion jam on house made toast points) is inventive and flavorful.
