The atmosphere was just as refreshing as the shake. Everything was super clean, comfortable, and welcoming, and everyone I interacted with was genuinely nice. Bonita Bowls might officially be a smoothie and bowl place, but at that moment it was basically an emergency medical facility. I walked in barely functioning and walked out feeling like I might actually survive my life choices. He wanted something chocolate and caramel but there wasn't anything like that on the board. I explained my dilemma and they custom made one! I went for the chocolate lover smoothie and it was sooo good! These are big and very filling and we used them as a meal replacement, not a snack. When I stated, "Hi, I asked for extra Gogi berries" the manager states, "You have extra gogi berries ma'am, they are in the middle." I then said "I also asked for extra bananas." The manager then states, "those are extra bananas ma'am. You're looking right at them" I inquired again, "6 slices is extra?" The managers tone has now changed to one of annoyance and sarcasm when she says, "Would you like extra bananas ma'am?" I said "yes." When she arrives back to the window with my order, she proceeds to tell me that I substituted the blueberries for bananas. I let her know that I didn't ask for a substitution at all. The sarcasm, rashness and loose audacity leaves me appalled at the age of the woman and lack of grace she had in handling the situation. Instead of taking responsibility or using emotional intelligence, she felt the need to correct me with an attitude. This is not the reputation of the Smoothie King I know.
