    Hot food

We arrived near the end of lunch service, but the food was still hot and fresh. They were in the process or restocking the sushi when I was taking my pictures. We are definitely leaving with full bellies

    Welcome
    Jerry H.

Ichiban has it all for a good price. I was disappointed about the oysters advertised but were not appealing. The hibachi is part of the buffet. As you can see my hibachi looked burnt and taste charcoal. We were seated quickly but I had to the hunt the waitress down to get my drink. Ichiban is very spacious and all the food looks appetizing. My rice was cold but the General tso chicken was spicy and hot. The drive from my house to the buffet is roughly 30 minutes. It has been a minute since we did buffet. We are jst not buffet eaters but the price can not be beat. All your heart desires!

Ichiban Buffet Restaurant - Sushi varieties
    Diane H.

We have driven past the Ichiban Buffet restaurant many times over the years. Located on US 1 in what I call St. Augustine's shopping district, this restaurant is easy to find, has plenty of parking and there was no wait when we arrived at 12:15 p.m. on a Saturday in March. What impressed me was the variety and quantity of sushi available for lunch. In other cities, we have enjoyed Asian buffet restaurants and there isn't the quantity or variety of sushi available until the dinner seating. For $13.00, lunch is quite the good deal, especially if you are hungry or like sushi! They also have a cooked-fresh hibachi grill area with plenty to make you a fresh lunch/dinner of whatever you are fancying that day. One buffet station had American food, including chicken, ribs, crawfish, clams, bacon wrapped shrimp and I think two varieties of cooked fish. Another station had cooked Asian dishes including chicken with broccoli, Szechuan pork, honey chicken, fried rice, and lo mein. Another station had chicken on a stick, sautéed green beans, egg rolls, spring rolls, french fries, wontons, steamed dumplings. Another station had various canned and fresh fruits. Another station had the fixings for building your own salad, with several dressings to choose from. There was a dessert station, as well as a scoop your own ice cream area. One thing I notices was the constant turnover of food. The staff were continuously filling the steam tables with fresh food so there was nothing sitting there for very long. Empty and finished dinner plates were cleared from our table, as well as nearby tables. Service staff are timely with their delivery! If you're looking for a place where you don't have to wait for a table and don't have to wait for food to be cooked, this could be the place for you. We will return. The sushi and the rest were that good.

Horrible no quality food for $18.99 very low quality this store is very lucky for now because don't have competition but I hope soon the good china buffet coming one day here to St. Augustine

Nice foods need more selection on hot foods I am very surprised they have crawfish I am from New Orleans

Who doesn't love a good Buffet!! Well look no further, if you are in the St. Augustine Area you must try Inchinan Buffet (Sushi,Hibachi & Grill) This place got us seated quick and fresh food available to service. There was such a variety of things to try from Beef, Chicken, Veggies, Fries... who doesn't love bottomless fries LOL!! Unfortunately we visited during the late evening so the dinner buffet price for the drink was $19.99, just a quick heads up.

This place has your basic bland Chinese buffet foods, but what makes this place stand out is the hibachi grill, and Sushi.

Great food. The sushi was better than most Chinese buffets I've been to (although still not as good as non-buffet sushi).

As far as buffets go this is one of the good ones. Where else can you get snow crab legs for 14 dollars. Excellent selection worth trying

It's a Old Florida kind of place on the water, adjacent to a marina. We had made reservations through Open Table, but we really didn't need them. The place was empty, except for the bar. We were greeted and seated immediately. The drink orders were taken by our very kind waitress. The beer was tasty and I enjoyed the Hurricane drink. I thought the Seafood Chowder Soup Cup was excellent. We both enjoyed the Grouper Sandwiches. The Onion Rings were a hit, and while the Sweet Potato Fries were good, I like the regular fries more. They didn't have them available. The place is extremely casual, and old. Good place to chill.

We walk up and it feels like no one is there because it's so quiet. This is an excellent time for a Saturday afternoon. The hostess greeted and seated us immediately. Our server was Jill. Friendly, attentive and talkative. 3 good qualities to possess when serving others. Hubby ordered appetizers, fried pickles and clam chowder New England soup. We chose frozen Pina Colda and Yeungling for drinks. Main course was of course my Gator Tails. John had the Poke bowl with seared tuna, black beans, white rice and it sat on a bed of lettuce. The drizzle topping with seeds just made it more edible. Hubby says it was delicious. I say quietly enjoying the fresh, crispy on the outside, soft and juicy on the inside- Gator Tails. I didn't care for the sauce. I could taste the jalapeños too well. That made it spicy. I ate the Gator Tails the way they came. The inside scene was hustling with folks watching the golf tournament. Who knew. The lobby was cold but clean. They did have large flies lingering in the windows. But none came by our food as we ate. I'd decided return again soon.

Exceptional Service, Fresh Seafood, and a Perfect Waterfront Atmosphere…read more My wife and I had one of the best dining experiences we've ever had at The Boathouse in St Augustine. We sat outside on the deck overlooking the water, and the atmosphere alone was worth the visit. To make it even better, a sweet, friendly kitty joined us and rested at our feet while we ate. She was gentle, lovable, and happy to let us pet her, a perfect little addition to an already beautiful afternoon. From the moment we arrived, the staff was outstanding. The hostess seated us immediately, and our server, Tom, was exceptional. He kept our drinks full, checked in just enough without ever interrupting, and always kept an eye on our table as he walked by. His attention to detail was impressive. I ordered the stuffed grouper, and it was phenomenal! Clearly fresh, perfectly seasoned, white and flaky, with a decadent crab stuffing that set the dish apart. My wife had the shrimp skewer salad and loved every bite. The shrimp were fresh, tender, and prepared perfectly. During our meal, I mentioned to Tom that shrimp and grits is my traditional go‑to dish. Even though I didn't order it, Tom surprised us with a complimentary serving of shrimp and grits from Chef Mike! Let me tell you, it was easily the most unique and delicious shrimp and grits I've ever had. The dish included onions and a layer of perfectly seasoned collard greens beneath creamy, balanced grits and fresh, succulent shrimp. We added it to our meal and finished every bite. Just when we thought we couldn't eat another thing, Tom asked if we saved room for dessert. We hadn't; but when he told us about their locally made key lime pie, we had to try it. It was incredible: perfectly tart, perfectly sweet, the crust was amazing and the ideal size for two people to share. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. I strongly recommend The Boathouse; try the stuffed grouper, the shrimp and grits, or the shrimp skewer salad if you want something lighter. And whatever you do, save room for the best key lime pie you'll find anywhere in Florida.

For my wife's Chicken Parmesan they were willing to change the pasta to grits - and that was very nice of them. Grits are similar to polenta- which is how she makes hers. She liked her dish. I had the three fish combo - and it was not very good. I believe a small piece of flounder (which was overcooked), three or four shrimp (which were overcooked as well), and a crab cake - which was decent but kind of mushy, but the moisture helped me to eat the other overcooked fish so ended up being a positive. Had key lime pie for dessert- which was okay but not great in my opinion. We did not complain or ask them to redo the fish. Service and ambiance, plus them working with my wife on her dish pushed them to a 4-star. My dish by itself was probably 3 star at best but other elements of the experience were very nice. We would go back again but would be hesitant to order items like fish that are easy to overcook.

Our waitress was very nice, we both ordered Fish and Chips made with different meat and it was.... okay. The breading was nothing special, though with the fish I think it was fine. The fries were pretty decent. I could see O.C Whites being a fantastic spot if it tightened up its menu a bit and maybe lowered prices a bit. 'Til next time!
