    Assorted Tempura
    Jessica L.

Loved the tempura! It was super light and crunchy. It was not greasy at all and came out piping fresh. The rolls were also solid. The Ichika roll stood out to me the most. It definitely had a kick to it. The warriors roll was good, but the flavor was not memorable. The eel avocado roll was good for a basic roll. I like that they have a thick fish to rice ratio. Sauces aren't overpowering. The rolls are on the smaller side overall. Service was okay. It felt a bit rushed. We did arrive 30 min before closing for lunch.

Great little neighborhood spot that is SO good, super fresh fish and all around tasty menu. Never disappoints, have come back here for both dine-in and takeout. Parking quite easy with the lot out front. Docked one star off just because it's a bit pricey. But I come back when I want to splurge a little hehe. Also great service!

We've been here so many times with friends and for date night - consistently a solid choice from the food to the service. One of the items we always get is the treasure box. Out of all the treasure boxes I've had, this is the best. It's a mix of deluxe items such as the oysters, chawanmush (our baby loved this), skewers, sashimi and nigiris. Truly a great value. Other items we order are uni and hotate nigiris - always fresh. They're also child friendly which is a plus. Parking is easy and everyone is nice.

I highly recommend this spot for fresh sushi and fantastic, friendly service. I've been here twice now, and both times the sushi rolls came out beautifully presented and tasted even better. If you come around 8pm, you likely won't have to wait long since the dinner rush tends to slow down by then. Some of the best seats are near the entrance where you can watch the sushi chefs preparing the food. When we arrived, the staff brought complimentary edamame for the table while we looked over the menu. I appreciate when edamame isn't overloaded with salt, and they did a great job keeping it simple and flavorful. I love spicy food, so my friend and I split the spicy tuna roll, the hot girl roll, and the baked scallop roll. Each one was delicious, but the hot girl roll was my favorite. It's topped with spicy tuna and jalapeños and had the perfect kick. The baked scallop roll came out hot and gooey, covered in a sweet garlic sauce that paired really well with the scallops. The restaurant is also vegetarian-friendly, which is one of the reasons we chose it. My partner ordered the avocado maki, veggie dragon roll, and the futo maki. His favorite was the veggie dragon roll, which includes avocado and eggplant. The futo maki wasn't as much of a hit for him, but that may just be because he's not a big fan of radish. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this place for the quality of the food and the welcoming service. It's located in a small shopping center with its own parking lot, which is a big plus since you don't have to worry about finding street parking.

The ambiance here is very nice and I have enjoyed most of the dishes I have tried. Recently I came for a friend's birthday dinner and ordered the beef curry, which unfortunately was not my favorite. There was much more sauce than beef and the meat was extremely chewy and not cut into smaller, easy to eat pieces. It made the dish a bit tedious to eat and overall it was too salty for my taste. I should have gone with the chicken katsu instead. I did try it and it pairs much better flavor wise with the rest of the menu and it is also properly cut. The ribs are good, although they are not very filling since there is more bone than meat. The assorted tempura is a great appetizer and definitely something I would order again. The atmosphere is beautiful and very elegant. We were lucky this time and were seated in the back area of the restaurant with regular chairs. In the past I have been seated toward the front where the seating is much lower.

    Check please :)

3.5 stars Small, well organized sushi spot with a parking right in front. Service was quick, got ice water and edamame immediately after sitting down, and when my friend arrived, they brought out miso soup right away. Nice touch. Food wise, the sushi quality really stood out. The shimaji and kimedai had great texture and no fishy taste at all. They were already brushed with a slightly sweet soy sauce and had wasabi inside, so no extra dipping needed. The beef ribs were flavorful and tender, and the soft shell crab was perfectly crispy. Amaebi and salmon rolls were just okay compared to everything else. The only downside was the atmosphere. The sushi chefs were speaking quite loudly, and we could clearly hear them using inappropriate language multiple times in Chinese, which made the dining experience uncomfortable. Overall: great food and efficient service, but the environment could be improved.

Love love love Ichika Sushi house! I've been eating here for years and has become a special place for me and girlfriend. It's not an exaggeration when I say everything I've eaten here was great. The quality of fish is top tier and the rolls they have are unique and creative. They even have a great fresh wasabi My go orders are the Chirashi bowl and also the sake don. For the rolls I love the double toro and mango roll. Inside it's very cozy they even have a couple booths that look very traditional. Love they serve tea and edamame to customers. They have a small parking lot so parking isn't usually an issue. 5/5 and A+ across the board for Ichika Sushi House

This sushi restaurant has really tasty rolls! There's usually a wait, so it is better to get here earlier if you don't want to wait too long. For the rolls, we got the 49ers, baked scallop, and old county roll and they were all really good! I like the vibes in the restaurant especially if you get the sunken seating at the side.

Natalie our server was amazing today! She was very kind and attentive. The staff here never seem to fail with service. Always providing wonderful service. Our food always comes out delicious and fresh. Never have a complaint when coming here. This is my #1 favorite sushi spot to go to and would highly recommend people to come here. Service is very fast as well. The restaurant is always kept clean and tidy. Todays visit we had tried: -Wagyu Yakitori (3) -Scallop Yakitori -Beef teriyaki (My personal fav) -Mango Salmon Roll -Itchika Supreme Handroll All items came out very fresh and absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend everything on the menu from this place. I'll never stop coming here. We've been coming here for 3 years and the food and service is always up to par! It was so nice, after paying the bill they gave me a complimentary gift card to use during my next visit. How sweet is that? In all, I paid $99.93 after taxes (not including tip). I made sure tip was cash and 20%! They always strive for wonderful service and best quality food. Thank you Natalie for your wonderful service and all Itchika staff!

Rainbow Roll, Double Salmon Roll, Dragon Roll
    Jocelyn L.

The service was amazing. The staff was very accommodating. We had a birthday and they kindly offered a few free mochi icecream with a candle. There were two rooms in this restaurant. One side had what I thought was tatami mat seating, but it turned out to be a table inside of a raised floor. You were sitting like you normally would at a table but the seat was the entire floor if that makes sense. It's not actually tatami seating. We ordered a 10 piece salmon sashimi, rainbow roll, double salmon roll, and the dragon roll. The sashimi was delicious - no fishiness at all. They cut some of the pieces too thin, so they gave us an extra piece to make up for it! All the sushi was as expected and tasted great, the only problem was with the rice on the rolls. The taste and texture were fine, but I'd say they only put half the rice that would usually be on a sushi roll. I've order take out before and it was never like that, so this might have been a fluke. All in all, service was great, but you might need to order an extra roll to make up for the smaller portion sizes.

    Hope D.

This spot was recommended to me. It's pretty decent, nothing crazy or to die for. There was about a 5-10 minute wait for our table, service was great though. It's not fancy inside, but it looked clean enough for dine in. There was edamame at the table already waiting at the table, which was a cute touch. We got the ramen, teriyaki steak plate, chicken gyoza, tempura roll and an order of sake nigiri. The food quality is very good, I do have to say. I will be back.

    Deluxe Chirashi Bowl
    Chloe S.

Fresh fish and excellent sushi rice! Instead of omakase tonight I opted for the deluxe chirashi bowl. It was packed with fish I and there was even scallops and uni inside. The crispy shrimp head was a nice touch, it made for a refreshing bite from the fish. The shrimp itself was creamy but not super sweet. While the uni was pretty solid in flavor, salty cream and fresh. The uni wasn't in the best solid texture but it still made for good eating. The sushi rice was perfection, seasoned just enough to have that subtle vinegary taste without taking away from fish. I would love to come back and try the omakase next time! Someone in our party had the pork curry katsu and enjoyed their meal. The portion looked quite generous and the katsu looked crunchy!

Imitation crab contain wheat, so it isn’t gluten-free. However, we offer real crab, which is gluten-free.

Does the tempura batter contain eggs?

Don't know about indoor dining, but they have some outdoor dining tables in the shopping center walkway in front of their business. I'd think dogs would be ok in that outdoor, shared public space.

Do they have a private area or seating for large parties?

Yes, they have a side more private room next to the main dining room. It's not big, but it's more private.

An update to my previous review…read more.. Now they no longer include the fancy lobster/scallop/handmade fish paste in the dinner (at least, I didn't get that this time). But instead, they now have the hot food buffet during the dinner. The fruits, desserts, and seaweed salad are now moved to the buffet section too. So the food on the conveyor belts are just the hotpot toppings. I just want to say... the chicken wings and the sweet and sour pork are really good. I know I come here for hotpot. I should be loading up sliced meat and veggie - my healthy cheat meal. But as a chicken wings addict, I got distracted. Their fried chicken wings are similar to the San Tung's chicken wings but they are the non-spicy version. I got two pieces to try. Oh man, I know I was in trouble after taking the first bite. The wings were perfectly crispy and juicy inside. The sauce was pretty good. And then I tried their sweet and sour pork. The meat was juicy and tender. Even though they were under the heat lamp, I still got a bit of crunch from the coating and their sweet and sour sauce was just perfect. I know the hot food buffet supposedly are distractions so that we would eat less meat. I should have ignored them. But dang, they put out pretty decent Chinese food over there. I end up ate a dozen of their wings and a plate of sweet and sour pork ... I broke the Asian's rule of making my money worth at AYCE hotpot T^T But they were so tasty that I truly enjoyed them throughout the night. Service was a bit lacking tonight. But the owner stepped in and fulfilled our requests quickly when we asked for refills :) So don't hesitate to raise your hand and ask for refill if the night gets busy. This is not the fancy hipster hotpot place. But this place always has a sweet spot in my heart. Plus, where else you can catch an NBA game while having hotpot on a Friday night? :D

We sat down anyways but it wasn't an hour wait. We ordered a variety of food for 6 adults. Tofu, fried gyoza, 3 rolls, the sushi lovers boat and deluxe sashimi. We ordered chicken kaarage but they got our order wrong and gave us a chopped up chicken katsu which didn't look appetizing for Katsu. Everything else was delicious. There were a ton of door dash people waiting to pick up their orders which were delayed. They were all waiting by the sushi bar. They were so busy they did not give us our miso soup that came with the katsu dinner.

We've driven by twice to find the restaurant closed, and calling didn't help either. First it was closed on Tuesdays, then Wednesdays, but none of this was reflected on Yelp, Google, or their website. Definitely disappointing. That said... the food makes up for it. Everything we tried was delicious, and the menu is huge. You get the best of both worlds with hot pot and sushi, plus a full bar and drinks to choose from. The wagyu sushi is insanely good -- literally melts in your mouth (sadly limited to two). For $22 during happy hour, you absolutely get more than your money's worth. Once the hours are more reliable, this would be an easy repeat spot.

Parking can be a bit difficult since it's located on a main road, and the space itself is smaller compared to other AYCE spots. That said, they do have a self-serve topping bar, sauce bar, and a beverage fridge, which is convenient. I also liked that chips and ice cream are included in the AYCE menu. Personally, I enjoyed the sushi more than the hot pot. It does feel like they're still figuring out the best system for the business, but I wouldn't be surprised if they're running much more efficiently in the near future. Overall, a solid spontaneous find with good potential.

What we love most is the baked mussels really served hot and grilled/torched and first time I noticed it was cut. Their yakitori was just okay and I noticed the rice was overcooked that time. The way Hamachi nigiri was offered to us as free taste - came off with his own sauce mix and experiment and you won't feel that you're really eating fish. Spicy tuna rolls was also right portion of fish than rice. There's a lot to try on that day. It is also cute and cozy environment.

Service: The older waitress was nice and friendly but became negligent towards the night. Literally. Just look at the stacks of empty dishes we had because she stopped coming by. Look at the pic!! Food: We got 2 omakase sets for $150 after the lady raved about how fresh their fish was and the seasoning was all different... We were satisfied with shrimp and chicken skewers and hamachi Kama included in omakase! But some of the fish's quality was not buttery and fresh like we expected -- some were dry as well -- and many of the items tasted almost the same except the ones that were smoked or seared.
