I came here last Friday to try some of their highly praised Filipino dishes. This place is located off the road in Brisbane within this industrial type area. It looks random at first but at the same time, very unique. It reminds me of a dive bar for truck drivers from the outside and heading inside, it also gives you that feeling. It's a pretty small restaurant sports bar with majority of the seating being outside. I ordered their Sisig Manila Style, Sizzling Pork Adobo with rice, Lumpia Sampler, Calamari, and Ube Cheesecake for dessert. The Sisig is our favorite pick because it's fatty with that nice sizzling taste and texture. It's bold with a good flavor and pairs nicely with the runny egg. This dish is a must. The adobo was just ok. Honestly, it wasn't my type of adobo and was too watery, thin, and slightly bland. It just tasted like watered down soy sauce and light vinegar over shredded pork meat. The calamari was a big portion and went great with the garlic aioli sauce. I also didn't like the lumpia's. The lumpia was soggy and way too bland with little filling. It didn't have that authentic taste to them which was a bummer. I'd avoid this sampler. We thoroughly enjoyed their Ube cheesecake though! It was sweet, tasty, and had a nice cream cheese texture. The makapuno coconut shreds paired great with the cheesecake and made it so unique. We'd definitely order this again. Overall, I thought it was just ok. I listened to the hype and yes, it was too much. For those that aren't Filipinos or didn't grow up having authentic homemade Filipino food, you could tell the difference. 3.5 star We visited on a Saturday night and ordered the fish lumpia, sweet chili garlic wings, Manila-style sisig with rice, and sizzling pork adobo with rice. For drinks, we tried the Ube-B-Boba and the Mango Margarita. The fish lumpia came out fresh from the fryer and was crispy, although pretty oily. The flavor was decent, but it really needed the soy sauce vinegar dipping sauce that came on the side to add some acidity and balance. The sweet chili garlic wings were good, but the sauce reminded me a lot of Mae Ploy sweet chili sauce. Both entrees were flavorful, but overall they leaned too salty for my taste. The pork adobo was tender, but I wished it had more vinegar and black pepper flavors. That's just how I enjoy my adobo though. I also found myself wanting more acidity in the sisig to cut through the richness. The drinks were fine. The Mango Margarita can be ordered blended or on the rocks. I chose it blended, but it was a little too sweet for my preference. The Ube-B-Boba was enjoyable but didn't particularly stand out. Overall, the food was fine, but nothing really wowed us. Pretty solid Filipino-American sports bar near the Cow Palace venue. We went around 5pm for dinner right before the event and it was a very lively atmosphere - both the Knicks championship game and FIFA World Cup were playing in alternating TV screens so it was crazy. We got the espresso martini flight, beef and chicken lumpia, and sizzling pork adobo. The espresso martini flight was pretty good - I never would've thought to try different variations like ube churro, salted peanut butter, and banana pandan - a small deviation from the classic, but it boasts wonderful fusion flavors. The lumpia was good but they mixed it so it's a gamble if you got chicken or pork, and I wish they separated it out so we all get an equal share of each. The sizzling pork adobo is good but could be better. The rice is a bit overcooked. Service is very slow - it's fine given all the sports playing, but it is quite inefficient. The last mile house that last for over 168 years is an amazing sight, with many stories of old to tell, along with survival stories like COVID that 7 Mile House stronger and better than ever. Used to serve anything that's both American and Italian, until Vanessa had made it into a family run small business restaurant which was absolutely welcoming for both locals and tourists alike since 2004. It's the only reason I come to 7 Mile House during Asian History Month that aims for Filipino fun. My specialty drink: Ube Colada (non-alcoholic). I want to try the Lambanóg, but it's few years late and I wouldn't mind since I prefer any drink that's zero proof. This creamy purple smoothie is so refreshing, I wouldn't mind getting a brain freeze. Main course? Actually, I take something out of the lunch menu, which is Beyond Burger; pickles at the top, lettuce, tomato, and cheese; old school American style with a plant based patty! I eat the fries first since they're fresh and chewy. Wish I stick around for an appetizer or a salad; but given that there's several people dining indoors while few of us outdoors, I'll have to pass. Before I walk a couple of blocks toward 7 Mile House, I noticed the gas prices for both gas stations are just as high as near my neighborhood. I'll be wondering how long will a famous family run restaurant can go an extra mile before it runs out of steam. My Uber driver was a fellow bay native, and recommended this spot for good lumpia. What I didn't realize was how amazing it was going to be with drinks, desserts, appetizer, vibe, and everything else. Little corner spot off the road with decent parking down the street. The inside has a dive bar feel, with two outside patio areas, one was striped and simple and the other area has glitter reefs, a TV, and a little more upbeat. We sat there and took a corner table on a day where the weather was perfect and it was a vibeee. This spot has alot of bay history which you can feel, and we loved that. Got the grilled mushrooms which were so flavorful and juicy, but a little salty after a while. Sizzling adobo was sooo tender and flavorful. Stanley Cup Finals were on today, and every TV in the bar was set to the news. We asked the bartender if he could put the game on, but were told they were waiting for the World Cup, which didn't even start until 7 PM, and it wasn't even 6 PM. It seemed like a simple request to put the hockey game on for an hour while everyone waited. To make matters worse, we ordered Modelo only to find out the tap was out. Between the lack of flexibility, unavailable beer, and overall poor service, the experience was disappointing. This is our neighborhood bar, so it's especially frustrating. Unfortunately, we'll be taking our business elsewhere. We ended up leaving and finding another spot with friendlier service, working taps, and staff who seemed interested in accommodating customers. MEH............. That's the best way to describe this place. I know, I know, it's an iconic establishment, been around for decades, mix of Filipino, American, Italian foods. I am sure they have their fans, I just didn't find it all that great. The food was pretty okay. I had the steak sandwich and it served its purpose. My wife order the pork Sisig, which was probably the best thing they got there. Other mentionablies were the wings with a sweet and spicy dipping sauces and veggie spring rolls, both were good. Big plus for dog owners, they are very pet friendly, with outdoor sitting. They have a doggie menu, including doggie steak, dog beer and dog cigars. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to get here. So glad we went here. We came here after Cow's Palace from the Great Dickens fair, and they had a kids menu. We found parking pretty easy. My son was napping when we came in as we tried stretching his nap due to our itinerary during the limited time we were here. His dad enjoyed the soda and ice cream on his behalf (my son is currently 13 months, has been eating solids since 6 months, and has 14-16 teeth , which is why we went with what we chose). They had two bathrooms, no changing area for kiddos, and a back patio as well as seating before you enter. High chairs were available upon request. And sounds like if you were local, you do get a bunch of coupons/incentives to be a return patron. One of the patrons at the tables shared their free coupon with us, and my husband got to enjoy the mango margarita. They said they often get coupons in the mail here. When paying, they have a QR code where it links quickly to pay. I thought that was super efficient in case the waiters were busy. Hearty portions for a decent price. Parking, the location is interesting but it had plenty of parking which is surprising for a restaurant in the Bay because typically it's hard to find parking. Nice mom and pop restaurant. It small inside with limited tables but they make up for it with outdoor seating. Outdoor was actually very warm with the heat lamps and sealed properly to prevent wind draft entering. We visited Seven Mile House because I love historical places and was curious to finally see what this one is about. To be honest, we didn't really enjoy our experience. The interior inside was nice, but we asked to sit outside since the weather was good and we wanted some fresh air. Unfortunately, the outdoor area felt very old and not well-maintained. I think this place works best if you come for a casual lunch, a drink, or to watch a sports even, but definitely not for a date or a special outing. The atmosphere just doesn't give you that kind of vibe, and it's hard to fully enjoy it. As for the food, it was okay, but nothing we would come back for. The only thing I really liked was my cocktail, the mango margarita, which seems to be a popular choice. Overall, it was interesting to visit this historical spot at least once, but we left a bit disappointed, mainly because of the food. I appreciate that they keep a historic place running, and I think it can be a good option if you're looking for something casual, not too expensive, or if you want more of a bar experience. Tried it again after a year or so and not great but ok. It used be hella good food like a 4/5 but its gone down to 3/5. They made my order wrong so It had to be sent back which meant my significant other ate without me and the timing was all off. The fish lumpia was not the correct size it was big egg rolls instead of a bunch of small lumpia style rolls. The ambience was better since it was not super crowded and loud like it normally is. First time here with my three girlfriends for Sunday happy hour. I was happy they offered a weekend happy hour menu, but there weren't many options. We ordered a total of four lemon drops and three margaritas from the happy hour menu. For food, we ordered two orders of Angus beef tacos, two orders of pulled pork sliders, and two orders of fries -- one garlic and one seasoned. Both the tacos and sliders were just okay. If the slider buns had been heated, they would have been better, but instead they were cold, like they had just taken the buns straight out of the Hawaiian bread bag and added pulled pork. As for the fries, they were very oily. I know fries are usually oily, but these were extremely greasy. It felt like they hadn't been drained enough before being served, as there was a lot of oil at the bottom. Service was quick, since the tacos and sliders came out less than 5 minutes. The only thing that took over 20 minutes was our fries, which I think they may have forgotten. The place is dark and not modern, but it has a lot of historical charm. If you're looking for a modern spot, this isn't it. However, if you haven't been here before, it's still a good experience. I might not come back, but if my friends wanted to, I would. We came yesterday for a Mothers Day lunch. Promptly seated outdoors with an umbrella for shade it was all quite nice. Street parking. We had fish lumpia and all sorts of entrees I had the loco moco. All 4 of us got drinks too and really enjoyed the food and drinks everything was delicious. The only issue was that everything took a REALLY long time to come out and my FIL was getting impatient. The service here is really, really bad. It's extremely slow. There's several wait staff and they're all polite, but it's like everyone is just running around with no rhyme or reason. For myself and a friend, it took almost 30+ minutes to get our drinks and over an hour for our food which was 2 adobos and an app. The adobo is delicious btw but I think the portion size got smaller over the years. It's my 50th birthday trip and my first stop after checking into the hotel was 7 Mile House Sports Bar & Grill in Brisbane, just over the line from San Francisco. I was questioning it a little, only because of the outdoor appearance, but I had no clue of the history and how great the food would be. The 4.5 Google rating didn't give the location enough justice.  The menu is a bold mash-up of Filipino, Italian, and American classics--a genuine reflection of local tastes and heritage. We had just arrived to the area, so we kept the selections light. The sisig was a little bland, and the adobo wasn't the flavor profile I'm used to. Both dishes were served on sizzling cast-iron plates, but neither was actually sizzling when they arrived, which was a big letdown. The service was also a bit slow. Our food took a while to come out, and the desserts took even longer to arrive. On top of that, the portion sizes were smaller than expected, especially considering the prices.
