I had an okay experience with Dr Devani in La Mirada- she has a strong personality, not approachable but the injection turned out well. Later I decided to try the Placentia location and booked with a nurse. The clinic itself was clean with impeccable lighting. But the front desk had a negative vibe and I made the mistake of having my injection done by a nurse instead of the doctor. I won't name names out of courtesy, but readers should know what happened and make their own decision. I told this nurse that I had a big event coming up. I asked her about bruising because it happened before to me on the right side. Instead of being reassuring and confident in her ability, she said that she bruises all the time and she's used to it. This was a red flag and I should've walked out. She did my crows feet and right away, there's pain on my right side. She gave me an ice pack, and by the time I walked to the front desk, there was a visible bump about 2cm around. I felt horrible and knew I'd made a mistake. When I questioned again how common this is, she brushed it off and said, "It happens to me all the time. It looks like horns. I just live with it." I was horrified and have told all my friends about this experience. She was rude, uncaring, and unprofessional. The bruise ended up lasting over 2 weeks and couldn't be covered by makeup- I had to change my hairstyle to hide it. Her attitude was completely unprofessional and I will never go back. read more
