Been here a few times and only one of my manicures chipped. I typically do my own hands and they never chip, but I use different products than they do. My feet on the other hand I have done and each time I've been here they've had not only great smiles but they really work hard for the money. Not this 30 minute half a$$ pedi, but a serious feel good, look good pedi. (Even the lowest cost option). Plan on being here a while because you'll be treated right. Lastly, and most important, they are CLEAN. Very clean. Washing the tubs right after each appointment. 4 stars for the lack of more fun indie brands. read more

This salon suggested I book online. I did and on May 18 received an email confirming my appointment for a gel pedicure $35.00 total due $35.00. When I went in they demanded $50.00 and refused to honor the price they quoted me in writing. This is a before tip figure too. Who pays $60.00 for a pedicure? They then tried to show me a book with manicure prices although I kept saying I wanted a pedicure and they had me seated in the pedicure chair. I walked out. Well I had a 3:30 appointment and I finally got someone to give me me scheduled pedicure at 4:45. I appreciate that they are busy during those pandemic times but when you make an appointment I do not expect to wait for 1 hour and 15 minutes for service. THIS PLACE DESERVES 0 STARS!!! I went to get dip nails done and the person doing them continued to file the sides of my nail to the point it was hurting so bad. He told me my nails were fat just like me!! On my thumb he filed so much on the edge you could see my natural nail again. Instead of redoing it he told me the only way to fix it would be to cut that part of my nail off even though it was still connected to my skin. I told him no that would hurt do not do that and he grabbed my hand and wouldn't let go. He cut it off the whole time I'm yelling at him to stop and not to touch me. I got up and walked away. The only thing this salon did for me was let another worker finish up my nails. They still made me pay for the whole appointment and the hostess took me outside and gave me a $20 gift card to use on my next visit (like I'll ever go back!) and then continued to tell me how she's been trying to get that guy fired for months and I'm not even the first person he's done this to. I wish I could give this place a 0 star. I've been here 3 times due to having a gift certificate. Every single time, I end up bleeding because they grind it down too much. I took my Vietnamese friend with me and he said the boss was talking bad about customers. He and his wife also yells at their workers and working conditions look so bad I feel for them. I went there last Thursday for a mani/pedi. I got there at 12:30pm and didn't leave until 4:30pm. During that time I had a mediocre pedicure, nothing special and my nails dipped.I was told the dip was very durable and would last up to 4 weeks. It has been 5 days and I have already gone back due to an entire nail coming off. I am on day 6 and another finger has chipped! I paid 80 dollars and spent 4 hours plus extra trips back so I highly recommend going anywhere else. read more

Showed up, waited 30 min past my appointment, then they addressed that the tech requested was not there, and I needed to wait another 15 min (apparently she had been gone for weeks). This place is far from ideal. If I could give zero stars I would. My friend and I booked appointments through the website. We arrived on time. There was only one person available, so he pulled up a chair for me to sit next to my friend while he started with her. It took him an inordinately long amount of time to saw down the dip on her ONE hand (AKA over 30 minutes and the dip was still on). It was apparent he either had no clue how to remove dip or perhaps it was because he kept having to stop to tend to his screaming baby who was crying so loud that the noise level was headache-inducing. They were clearly understaffed or just unable to manage a system that involves both appointments and walk ins. Four other women walked in while I was sitting there plugging my ears with old dip still unaddressed after sitting there for over an hour. They had appointments as well, so I explained the situation to them and they promptly walked out. Terrible customer service and lack of awareness. Will never return and urge others to avoid this place unless they want to walk out with the same manicure they came in with, along with a headache free of charge! We took our business down the street to Molly Nails & Spa and left very satisfied. read more

Well never go back. Had a pedi and the tech cut me. I was under the impression that he cut my nail to short. But no he cut the tip of my pinkie off. Could not understand was there was so much blood. But i figured accidents happen. The tech did say he was sorry. I gave him his over 20% tip but the place still charged me full price ($48.00). Left the place with 9 nails painted and the pinkie wrapped up with bandages. Did not realize until the next day what he had done. Giving two stars because powder dip nails and pedicure turned out nice but the overall experience was not pleasant. I received $100 from a relative for Christmas and wanted to treat myself to a good pedicure and powder nails. I rarely indulge in this luxury and wanted the experience of a relaxing few hours being pampered. The minute I walked in the door I wanted to turn around and leave but I had scheduled appointment . The blonde girl at the desk was rude to me, but I also saw her snap at a nail technician. A few more customers came in and it got so crazy I almost fled. But I was greeted by the lady that was going to do my pedicure and although she did a good job she checked her text messages a couple times during and that doesn't sit well with me. The blonde girl came over and apologized for the "all the confusion " when I came in, but my real problem was how she treated me when no customers were in the lobby except me. I have been here several times now both for manicures and pedicures. I've taken my mother, daughter and granddaughter there and everyone has been very pleased. The staff are all very nice and do wonderful work. The salon is bright and clean and doesn't smell of chemicals. read more

Ideal Nails staff are welcoming and caring. They talk to you like they've known you forever. I've been going regularly for over a year and have always left happy. Manicures last 2-3 weeks. I wanted black French tips and they came out so bad that another lady had to fix them but they still were crooked after she finished them and you could see my nail bed instead of covering them with the polish like French tips are supposed to. read more

when i first walked in i was immediately yelled at go wash your hands and there was no sink in sight. i had to wander around to find it. then when i finally got my nails done i got made fun of. kimmy was doing my hands and grabs my hand and says "haha look at her nails they are so short" to her co workers. it made me feel so embarrassed. thats the whole point of me getting my nails done was to get them longer. it made me feel like shit. she also wrote my recipt at $93 but then when we went up to the register and said it was $95. i ended up gaving her $120 because they couldn't take my card for tip. so i felt obligated to give it all. not satisfied read more

This place is disorganized and unprofessional.. where to start.. i booked an appt for 10:30, sat there for half an hour until someone even started to remove my old nails. Proceeded to wait 2 hours and sat there completely unacknowledged. Finally at around 12ish I asked one of the techs if someone could please assist.. she said one of the guys would be done "shortly" but nope. I sat there for roughly 15 more minutes until one of the ladies finally came over to assist. This is a business people - where is the sense of urgency and customer service? At that point, I was just so frustrated with the lack of service that I told her to just remove my nails and I would go somewhere else tomorrow. She then said that she could get it done quickly which I agreed to proceed with the nails. Keep in mind that as I said that, I could hear the nearby nail tech mumble to herself (note that I could completely hear her..) to "go ahead, then leave". What kind of customer service is this? If a customer schedules an appointment at a certain time, then you should honor that. I get being shortstaffed however as a business figure out how to resolve it without affecting your customers. Either find coverage or don't offer a time slot that in reality is unavailable due to lack of techs. Am absolutely appalled and will nevet come back. Will take their businesd elsewhere next time. And the icing on the cake- upon checkout, they tried to charge me $50 whereas I always pay $45. I asked her why and she said this time I got the "long nails" which I bluntly told her is false because all other times prior I get the same exact nails and pay $45. Brand new (2-3 months old) family run nail salon. Beautifully decorated (not tacky for once!) and really clean. I almost didn't want to review as then you would all go and I'd have to wait! :) Loved my pedicure and shellac manicure! Went to their new location in Hopkinton, MA that has been open less than a week. Worse manicure ever. The man who did my nails was the owner. Used "Base Coat" instead of "Top Coat" for final application of gel polish. When he realized this, he wiped my hands with cuticle oil and polish remover to remove the Base Coat and applied Top Coat which then bubbled and wrinkled under the light. Nails are uneven, including one that is much longer from having a repair. Shape of my nails is irregular, and look jagged and unfinished. Very thick gel application and the polish is uneven. I was surprised he didn't ask if I had time for him to correct his mistake properly by taking the Top Coat off and reapplying. I was the only person in the salon at the time. Most shocking however, was that he did not even compensate the price of my service for his mistake. I paid $8 more ($38) than my regular salon for a fill and manicure that looks like I did it myself. Very poor first impression. Won't be going back. read more

I would NEVER recommend this nail salon. Sign says walk ins welcome. On Mother's Day I walked in with my two girls for pedicures. Now I know Mother's Day is a very busy day for a nail salon and I completely understood that we would need to wait. We were greeted, asked to sign in and then return in a half hour. Perfect. We went shopping and came back 30 minutes later. We were greeted again, the lady remembered we had already been there and signed in and she told us to pick our colors. We picked colors and proceeded to wait. We had no problem waiting, even if it was a long wait, as we knew we were three people walking in for pedicures on a busy holiday. After 50 minutes, and all of the people that had been there before us getting called we figured ok were next. Right at that time three pedicure chairs opened up. We thought - perfect! Then the man who was calling people up next came over. Instead of calling us, he called a single woman who had walked in after us!! Then he came back and called over a mother and daughter who had come in and signed in AFTER us!!' Even the two women looked at the man and said "hey, those three were here way before us". He pretended to act surprised even though he had been making eye contact with us the whole time we were waiting and knew we were there well before the three people he just called. He acted flustered and said oh let me see and started to walk away. Because he had given away one of the three chairs I knew we would have to just wait more before the three of us could get called together. So I said to him, "we were here and left and came back as requested, we waited 50 minutes patiently without getting upset, now it's our turn to be called and we aren't being called, this isn't right". I looked at my girls and said we are leaving now and walked out. This was the worst example of customer service that I have ever seen. We knew we'd have to wait, we were patient and pleasant the whole time, and we were ignored and treated terribly. Horrible customer service, horrible place. Don't ever go to Ideal. read more

My daughter went there today the person who did her nails was a jerk to her. They over charge for nails and do a crappie job. I was shocked when I saw how bad they were. Two of her friends went with her and one of her friends nails weren't done that well either. I will never let my kid come back here. Mimosas does a way better job. I will never ever come back to this nail salon not in a million years. I went to get a full set on Tuesday (my birthday) I did it before my appointment at the spa and walked in around 1:50 and told them I had to be done by 2:40 THE LATEST. I told them if they couldn't squeeze me in I would wait. But of course they told me they would have me done by 2:40. Sat down told her what I wanted which was coffin shape long nails with white polish. I told her my cuticles were extremely sensitive cause I pick at them and it hurts. She was filing and poking my cuts and it hurt so bad. I told her over and over again please go easier as it was really hurting. She didn't. It's now 2:50 and she still wasn't done shaping... I told her I had to go cause I was going to be late and she kept telling me to come back after and she will finish. My nails are CROOKED and uneven and they look AWFUL. Worst full set I've ever received. I told her no I will do the polish another day. My mom went to go cash out as she was paying since it was my birthday. The lady at the cash register said "$45 for her". I turned around and said "$45 for what? They aren't even finished I don't even have polish on them" so then she goes "okay $30". Still a decent amount for an unfinished full set... I WILL NEVER EVER COME BACK HERE AGAIN. I think they do a really nice job and the atmosphere is very nice/clean/calming. What really grinds my gears is when nail places suddenly decide to change their prices, DESPITE what they price sheet says. Two weeks ago they had a signature pedicure for $25 on their paper price sheet. I went in yesterday to get one and suddenly the cheapest one was $35. Even the girl next to me spoke up and said "Didn't you used to have a $25 one??" and they lied right to her face and said no, that it was $30 what she was thinking about. A $10 price jump??? Every other nail salon does a basic pedicure for $25. What also ticked me off a little was how on both the old and the new price list, it say "shellac manicure $25." But she suddenly charged me $28 yesterday. I like this place but I'm fairly annoyed with them now. I may not return. read more
