It's taken a while to post this review but all I can say is even 8 months after install, I still love my deck! After a lot of research we decided to construct it out of Ipe wood because of its durability. Working with Arie was great! He is very knowledgeable and has a lot of experience building decks, especially with Ipe. I have a raised foundation and initially wanted a higher deck the level of my front door with steps on all sides around it. It was Arie's idea to build the deck lower to the ground with the steps right outside my back door. I'm so glad I listened to him! It looks great and I got more usable deck space for the same area. Arie even came back after the job was finished to replace a piece of wood that had a stray screw hole in it because he knew it would bother me! Excellent customer service. I cannot believe how beautiful this deck still looks. Even after the oil shine fades, it still looks beautiful. I would highly recommend Arie for all your decking needs! read more

We are so happy with the service we received from Arie and his crew. We hired Arie to repair and waterproof our existing cantilever deck. We also wanted to add a completely new railing. First and foremost, Arie could not be nicer. He was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. He walked us through the entire process step by step so that we fully understood what the repairs and waterproofing would entail. We originally spoke with Arie in January but ultimately we decided to delay the project because of the pandemic. When we were ready to start the project, we got back in touch with Arie and he was so accommodating. He met every expectation we had. He provided a great price for the entire project and stuck with the original price estimate even though the cost of materials had increased since we received our original estimate. His staff was extremely professional and the deck is absolutely beautiful. They were able to finish their work faster than they anticipated. Arie and his crew redid the deck at our house in Venice a couple months ago and there is not a single thing that about the experience that was less than excellent. Arie was direct and timely with his estimate. Gave us a definitive and clearly laid out proposal. When it came to the job, the crew arrived ten minutes early each day, and ended up finishing a couple days ahead of schedule. They ripped out the previous rotting redwood deck and replaced it with a beautiful Trex deck. They were extremely cautious about the landscaping around the deck and even painted walls to match the new deck just because they wanted it to look as wonderful as possible. In fact, they did lots of little things around the yard beyond the scope of the contract just because it would improve the overall aesthetics of the new deck and yard. And ultimately I was both surprised and not that in the end I was not slapped with additional bill for the minor extras. I was surprised because I have been gouged by so many contractors over the years, but likewise not surprised at all because Arie was a gentleman and such a pleasure to deal with through the whole process and his crew couldn't have been more professional and expedient.
