This is the place I usually go. However, today the person I usually see wasn't working so I didn't make an appointment and decided to just walk in. It was 430 so a wait would be expected. When I walked in the store, there were two crew members attending to two separate guests. There was another lady sitting in one of the barber chairs and another in the waiting room and no receptionist. The two crew members seem completely flustered by my entrance. One of them went towards the reception desk, but then turned back to get a mirror for the for the lady whose hair she was cutting. The African-American lady who was cutting the hair of the other guest told me "there's one ahead of you". No hello no nothing. These two ladies were in the weeds. I was considering whether or not I would want someone so obviously stressed wielding scissors next to my ears. The African-American crewmember said "did you hear me?" in a tone and volume I would expect to hear from a mother telling her child to clean his or her room. I looked at her and to my surprise she was looking at and speaking to me. She then said again "there's one ahead of you" gesturing towards the lady sitting in the waiting room. Of course I left without saying anything. I get it. Work can be stressful, but seriously guys, get it together. That's no way to talk to your customers. read more

Came here to get a hair cut and met the lovely stylist who understood the assignment. My short curly hair needs to grow but needed a shape. She gave me a trim, some great conversation, a product recommendation (love that they use Paul Mitchell) and sent me on my way. I was happy to leave her a nice tip. read more

Went in for a haircut with no real high expectations because the last several haircuts I have gotten at other stores were just not good. Worst haircut ever. The older Asian lady cutting my hair looked angry and annoyed. She rushed me out of there as fast as she could. Not only a bad haircut but this lady cut me multiple times in the process. She didn't speak at all and didn't acknowledge anything I said. She looked miserable and wanted to rush the customers out. It's really difficult to find hair salons that are affordable, with stylists who know what they're doing and actually listen to you. Usually, I find you can expect to pay a ton of money for a really great cut, so this place was a pleasant surprise. I've been to several Supercuts in the area and this location is by far the best. There was no wait at all. Elizabeth cut my hair today and she was awesome. She listened to me when I told her the type of cut I wanted and she took her time to do the right job. She made sure she blew my hair out and didn't leave me with a bunch of wet hair all over my clothes. Most places are so quick to get you in an out they don't bother with the extras. I'm extremely pleased with the cut I received here and will definitely go back again to maintain the style. A+++ all around! read more

Never Again! Wanted to give 1 star but 2 stars for the history I have had with this place. I have been regular here since 2009 when I came to Dallas. Most of the girls are good but they keep changing. But my fav since I found out this place was Mayra! She is the best! Probably one of the best I have ever come across! Apparently she has become the store manager now! Last couple of my visits has not gone well! Her attitude has changed completely. Not sure if its Trump magic! lol. I am not white. South East Asian (Indian). 1) Last to last time I went with on call reservation, waited 20-30 min for my turn with her. When she got free she called someone else and left me out. When I asked her she said " Oh I thought its the other Sam, I need to go for lunch after this so come back after 1 hour! I thought..might be mistake. Went to next available person and got my hair done. 2) Last time did a online appointment so that I select her name and there is no confusion. Went there and checked, other girl confirmed I am next for Mayra. Waited 20 min. Some guy walked in and checked in. 5 min later she got free, and called that guy ahead of me. I was stunned!..did not know how to react. Thankfully the other Girl realized what has happened and told her I have been waiting for her. The other guy was not even seated yet..he was just getting ready. Her Response: "Well ..The system did not tell her I was waiting on her..If you can wait" I was like..#######! Not sure if Indian are not good at Tips ..but I used to as I liked her work. Anyways...I said Thank-you and walked out! :-) Will cut my hair myself with trimmer but ..Never Again here! :-) read more

I don't get my haircut nearly as regularly as a gal should, maybe. But recently, my hair decided it wanted to grow out just as terribly as possible. I went ahead and downloaded the app in order to check in online ahead of time. I'm glad I did because it does seem to assist the staff versus calling ahead or walking in. The reason behind this is it sounds as though they are a bit short staffed right now. Every time someone called in to inquire on wait times or to put their name down on the list, there was no receptionist to handle those calls. The stylists had to pause in the middle of their respective cuts multiple times due to high call volumes. I'm by no means upset, but just recommending for their sanity (and yours), I do think it's preferred to check in online. I did so maybe 30 minutes ahead of time and only had to wait about ten minutes or so. Now - as for the actual 'do - I've gotta say, bless Molly. The first (nice) lady who was going to cut my hair took one look and said Molly would be better suited to handle my locks. Ha! I didn't take offense as I knew it was a wreck, and I wanted someone who felt confident in getting it back into shape. Molly took her time (but not excessively) in making sure everything got back to even and healthy and fabulous. She was a great conversationalist but didn't chat my ear off either. All in all, she was professional, kind, and knew exactly what she was doing. She may be my new girl going forward! I will be back. read more

I've been a Supercuts customer for 3 years and the service today was pathetic. 2 people ahead of me and 4 employees. The 2 gentlemen were serviced and I was the only one left in the entire salon! They collected and people left, as I looked around there was nobody sitting ,cutting hair nor with me in the waiting area. These employees had cleaned up and were mingling in the back. Totally ignoring me. I asked "what time do ya close?" Instead of someone saying "oh I'm sorry sir, we can cut your hair now " A lady blurts out, 7pm. And went about her chatter. I'm a humble guy and just left shaking my head in disbelief. There is one employee at this location who knows her business and she wouldn't allow that to have taken place. I must admit, I ate chain establishment and I try to send my business to mom and pop owned businesses. Alas, I was out of town and yelp reviewers had only reviewed two barbers in Irving, TX. From one of the reviews I read, Super Cuts now takes phone reservations sort of.....I called before I left and advised the receptionist that I was about 5 minutes way and I would like to add my name to the waiting list.... if there was a list. She said sure, come on in. When I got there, two people where waiting in the lobby, but once I checked in i was introduced to Tina and she showed me to her station. The cut was pretty straight forward and Tina was a very nice person. Twenty minutes later and $15 it was all over. No fuss. When I got back to my place I found a few rough hairs by my right ear but it was nothing a razor couldn't take care of. I was very happy with my haircut but saw that the stylists did not have cushioned or padded mats to stand on. I understand that this is a franchise and the owner must not care about the health and comfort of his/her employees. I will not give my money to a business owner so uncaring of their employees. Horrible experience, I signed up for a 2:30 pm appointment as I had quite a few things that needed to be done afterwards. I proceeded to sit in the waiting room for 35 minutes after 2:30pm while workers simply talked about random stuff. It was 3:05 by the time I actually sat down and the haircut took another 30 minutes. The haircut wasn't terrible but the lack of respect towards the customer time was horrid. I do not recommend this place if you have stuff to do after your appointment. read more

She offered me a stack of magazines to occupy my time while she completely highlighted my hair. She was very professional, and when she was unsure if I needed toned or not she made sure to ask advice from another stylist. I greatly appreciate that! My hair turned out great! I've been going here for 7 or 8 years, and generally got a decent haircut. Sometimes it has been good and a few times it was barely good but acceptable. One person did a good job always and I started going to her every time and was very happy. She left and I made a reservation with "next available". A couple times I came in for a cut and even with the appointment, the wait was longer than I could handle, and that was understood and OK. I came back another day. Last time I had an appointment and walked in a few minutes before it. The stylist was telling a lady that there was one person ahead of her as I walked in, and she asked if I called ahead and I said I did and gave her my name. The other lady had taken a seat to wait. The stylist then walked over to her and said she was ready for her, to which the lady was surprised as she had just been told of a short wait. Then she told me it would be about 20 minutes. So I didn't have 20 minutes to wait to get started and I left and won't be back. I'm polite, friendly, and I tip well (usually $5 on a $17 cut), but I'm done with this place. read more
