I was checked in and asked to wait, but after sitting there for 20 minutes with absolutely no update, I finally had to go to the front desk myself and ask how much longer it would be. I explained that I had a flight later that evening and had specifically scheduled an appointment because I needed to stay on time. I was then told that the stylist they booked me with was "one of their slower ladies." That honestly made the situation even more frustrating. If the salon already knows a stylist tends to run behind, why book a 3:00 PM appointment without building in enough time--or at the very least, communicate that to the client when they arrive? I ended up leaving because I could not risk missing my flight. Then, to make matters worse, they charged me a $25 cancellation fee. That is what I find completely unacceptable. I showed up for my appointment, on time, and they were the ones running behind. I did not cancel or no-show. I waited 20 minutes with no communication and only found out there would be an additional delay because I went up and asked. Charging a customer a cancellation fee under those circumstances is incredibly poor customer service. If you expect clients to respect your cancellation policy and your time, you should also respect theirs. Very disappointing experience, and I definitely should have read the previous reviews before booking. 9/3/26 UPDATE: The franchise owner personally reached out to me after my review and investigated what happened. She confirmed that I did arrive on time, that the delay was due to an issue on the salon's end, and that the $25 cancellation fee should not have been charged. She apologized, is allowing the disputed charge to be refunded, and offered me a complimentary blowout with an experienced stylist. While my original experience was disappointing and I stand by what I wrote about that visit, I really appreciate the way ownership handled the situation afterward. Accountability and good customer service matter, and I believe it's equally important to acknowledge a business when they make a genuine effort to correct a mistake. I would be willing to give them another opportunity in the future.

(There is also a Double Barfly which gives you two $10 discounted blowouts per month). I think I have had a different stylist each time I have been here, but they are all good. They ask questions about what you are wanting and you can select from a menu of styles. Free drinks and movies to watch also. Most of the time my hair looks good for nearly a week afterwards so it's been worth while. Easy to make appointments online (they have an app too, which I haven't tried yet, but intend to). You do have to provide a credit card for the cancelation policy but that is fair.

The cut can't be fixed, it's a pixie and I declined to have the color redone. No offer of a refund of any kind.
