This spot is so cute. The fish is very fresh and their portions are generous. The rolls are creative and super sauced. I really enjoyed the Salmon Lavah. I can't wait to come back and try the other rolls.

A nice find near Helms Bakery in Culver City. It was recommend to me by Gabriel at nearby The Mestizo. It is a comfortable family style Hawaiian-Japanese place with a small table top kiosk to order your entrees, combos, and beverages. The service is low key, friendly, and efficient. Once you finish the meal, you stop by the counter to pay your bill. While they do not serve alcohol, I understand that you may carry some in from the other shops nearby. There is street parking. I am certainly going to return to try other dishes.

This place was fantastic. I live two blocks away and pass by it legit everyday and have always wanted to try. So I decided to just walk over and get a table for one. It was amazing. It's byob and the atmosphere is just so warm and friendly. The sushi was amazing like I got a CRÈME BRÛLÉE SUSHI ROLL??!! It was so delicious it may be part of my weekly routine bc there are so many rolls I want to try.

I really liked: Salmon Lavah Roll Hiyako Tofu Kyoto Yellowtail I liked: OMG crunch This was ok: Original Brulee Roll The tofu was unexpectedly one of my favorites of the night. Silky, cold, and paired with a sauce that was excellent. The Salmon Lavah Roll and Kyoto Yellowtail both had that savory freshness with a little kick that keeps each bite interesting. The fish quality felt fresh, and the flavors felt intentional rather than just spicy for the sake of it. The OMG Crunch was solid too. Crunchy, satisfying, and exactly what you expect when you order it. The Original Brulee Roll was interesting and creative, but I found myself wishing the top had more of that satisfying crispy crackly brulee finish. Still good, but maybe not a go-to for me next time. Overall, great lineup of #goodeats. Service is pretty standard. The ambiance is actually charming, especially being such a small LA spot. They decorated it thoughtfully with Hawaiian-style touches, and even though the tables are on the smaller side, I never felt cramped or uncomfortable. Cozy, fresh, and memorable without trying too hard.

Popped into this restaurant after seeing so many good reviews and I definitely understand why! I split a Combo A with a friend and the Spicy Tuna & Crème Brûlée Rolls were so delicious!! The service was also superb, we were seated immediately and ordering/paying was super easy. The inside is set up like a cute little shack which really added to the vibes. I give 4.5 stars just because it is on the pricier end, but this place is perfect for a date night!

Sushi and the food was very solid. It was an interesting experience ordering through the iPad and barely having contact with anyone that worked at the restaurant. This is also a BYOB establishment, but there is a liquor store next door. Sushi and food was good, that would keep me coming back, along with the BYOB, makes it a very affordable option if you are looking for something that is pretty quick and not too fancy.

Not good sushi! The spicy tuna roll appeared grey and the salmon smelled fishy I didn't even eat it--I almost asked to return the items. The yellowtail was decent and the miso soup was the best thing at this place. It's super cute with all the added interior details and figurines but I won't be back. $37 gone...

Small, intimate but mighty is how I'd characterize this friendly and delicious neighborhood sushi joint. Friendly service, fresh and wide variety of sushi and sashimi. Food and service will not disappoint!

We stopped by after visiting Helms Bakery and were excited to finally check this place out. We first noticed it during the Culver City Art Walk but saw they weren't fully open at the time. We ordered a couple of maki rolls and the Szechuan tofu--everything was delicious. They gave us a sample of the ramen broth, which was also good. The ordering process was easy since everything is done through the Toast app. The decor and atmosphere are also really cute, we'll definitely be back!

Very cute and well decorated spot with amazing food and service! Will definitely come back

Sushi spot close to the Helms Bakery District. Stumbled upon this place because the line for Pasta Sisters was too long and we were hungry. We ended up ordering takeout from the kiosk, though there is dine in available as well. We had our choice of four different rolls - the surfin' tuna was my favorite one, while the blue crab roll was a close second. We waited about 20 minutes after ordering and the proprietor came out to give us our box. It came with soy sauce and ginger on the side. The rolls were generously portioned and for about $50 we had a nice sushi meal at home.

    Classic Salmon Roll to-go

Good vibes all around! Picked up a salmon roll to go, and wow--so easy, so beautifully presented, I had a moment of pure awe when I opened the box. The sushi was fresh and flavorful, totally hit the spot. This spot really lives up to the "hole-in-the-wall gem" description--super cute and effortlessly charming. Honestly hard to find flaws, but if I were wearing my hypercritical Yelper hat and chasing that ultra-clean eating lifestyle, I might suggest swapping the wasabi packet for fresh or organic. But let's be real: the price was incredible and the experience was spot-on... so don't change a thing! Will 100% be coming back. Hidden gems like this make eating out feel exciting again.

Bought 2 combo boxes from here for my birthday celebration with friends and it was a hit! Everyone loved the presentation and the quality and taste was super solid too! Plus, the workers were soooo friendly and gave me some extra edamame & sashimi after hearing it was my birthday. It's also really adorable inside so I'll have to be back to dine in!

SustainaBowl... what a fitting name…read more From the moment you walk in, the ambiance wins you over. The cozy swinging chairs, the lush creeping greenery, and the peaceful vibe make you want to linger a little longer. But as beautiful as the space is, the real star is the food. Absolutely delectable. Every single thing on the menu looked incredible, and somehow they managed to deliver on every bite. It's rare that I can honestly say I'd order anything on a menu--but this is one of those places. If you're anywhere nearby, do yourself a favor and stop in. You truly can't go wrong. I'll be back again and again, every chance I get.

At some places I've had açaí bowls that start melting almost immediately, but this one stayed thick and dense the entire time. I would definitely come back for it again. The blue matcha was okay. Next time I'd probably try the regular matcha instead. I'm taking off half a star only because the matcha came out much later and we were almost finished with our açaí bowl by the time it arrived, but it wasn't a big deal. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, and the music added to the vibe. Overall, I'd recommend this place and would happily come back.

Love this spot! I've tried quite a few items here (grilled fish combos, calamari, cioppino, fish…read moreand chips, etc) and everything is fantastic. I love seafood and tend to wait until I'm in Santa Barbara or San Diego for less expensive seafood- however, this is probably the best quality seafood with the best prices in LA! This time, I got the Cajun fish and chips combo and the north shore shrimp plate. This was about $38 which was not bad for the size! There are also daily specials, like Taco Tuesday or burrito specials on Mondays. This specific location is in Culver City in a pretty busy area. I paid on the street but I think there may be a validated lot nearby. There is indoor and outdoor seating, and staff was kind. Will definitely be back!

Seasalt Fish Grill is not very good. We will never be back…read more You order at the counter and you either pick it up or they will bring it to you. We ate there. It is pretty clean, but ever so uncomfortable. All the chairs are metal and that is not enjoyable in any way. They also have take away and delivery. They are not open for dinner. Most of their food is fish. My husband had fish and chips and it made him sick. They took clearly frozen fish, dipped it in batter and cooked the heck out of it, leaving the batter hard and the fish burned in some spots and raw in others, also part of the batter was still raw. He had 2 bites and in the trash it went. He still got sick from it. Now, I know they use frozen fish and that is fine, but you need to let it run under hot water or let it thaw before you batter it. The fries were not good. The cole slaw was okay. I had calamari and it was just awful. It also went into the trash. It was the cheap type large ring calamari and the batter was okay, but the calamari was ever so touch. I needed a knife and fork just to cut it. The service is average.

What started as a quick search turned into one of the best sushi experiences I've had in a long…read moretime. We were in the area for my son's doctor's appointment and discovered this place nearby. What a bonus! If you're anywhere close, it's absolutely worth a visit. The sushi here is next-level. You can immediately taste the quality of the ingredients--the freshness of the rice, the fish, and the attention to detail in every bite. I started with salmon and tuna nigiri, plus a salmon roll that was cut into small bite-sized pieces. Honestly, I was popping them into my mouth like candy. Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious. They also have a great selection of hot foods. Right when you walk in, you're greeted by freshly prepared unagi (eel), which looked amazing. They also offer katsu, and other ready-to-eat items. I grabbed a Spam musubi, and wow--it may be the best Spam musubi I've ever had, even better than some I've had in Hawaii. The Spam still had a slight crispiness, the egg added richness, and the seasoning brought everything together with an incredible umami flavor. What I love most is that the place reminds me of a Japanese convenience store (konbini)--but an upscale version. It's like Tsukigi market had a store in Ginza. You can buy fresh seafood, ingredients to make your own sushi at home, or simply grab a meal and enjoy it there. The quality throughout the store is outstanding. The atmosphere is great too. There's always a buzz of people shopping for sushi or enjoying their food outside in the seating area. It feels lively and authentic. One suggestion: try to get there early if you can. They had so many ready-made sushi trays, rolls, nigiri, and prepared foods available, but a lot of them were already nearly sold out by the time I got there. I noticed a sign saying items are made fresh regularly throughout the day, which is a great sign of how popular and fresh everything is. Still, if you want first pick of all the goodies, I'd recommend arriving earlier. My only real complaint is the parking. The lot is small, and during busy times you'll probably need some patience. I visited on a weekday during rush hour, but once I got my food, it was completely worth it. The drive back to Simi Valley flew by because I couldn't stop eating and thinking about how good everything was. I honestly can't wait to find another excuse to come back. This place is such a treat. If you're looking for high-quality sushi, fresh seafood, delicious prepared foods, and a taste of Japan without getting on a plane, this place delivers.
