Sushi Nigiriba just opened up in Culver City and did not disappoint. The fish was fresh with thick cuts and the service was phenomenal. Inside bar seating was clean and spacious. PARKING Street parking, not sure if there was a parking structure nearby. MENU We were given 4 omakase choices for their dinner menu and chose their Nigiriba signature $52/pp and 16% gratuity added to your bill. After the end of your course, you can choose to add on à la carte items. HAPPY HOUR I believe Mon-Thur they have 50% off drinks for happy hour~ FOOD Served one piece at a time with the perfect amount of rice to fish ratio. The rice was warm and seasoned deliciously paired with hearty chunks of tender nigiri: salmon, bluefin, and Kanpachi. With refillable edamame, the freshest ginger, and my favorite kizami wasabi, this was one delicious meal! The conger eel was kinda scary and long, but tasted really good, a tad sweet, and soft with bones you can't even taste. Dessert came with a refreshing matcha icecream mochi with red bean and a rice cracker. SERVICE Excellent server and service! Sean made the perfect nigiri's, explained each one, gave us kizami wasabi refills, and made sure our meal went smoothly! Thank you Sean!! OVERALL Fairly priced, fresh fish, and a great experience. Would def recommend stopping by to get your sushi fix :-)

Solid sushi bar restaurant located across from the Platform. Bar seating only. No reservations when I went. Easy to walk in and get seated on a weekday dinner time. Service was fast and friendly. They are from a chain from Japan and opening more US locations. They have multiple sets you can choose from, I went with the $52 Signature, which comes with 8 nigiri, 1 handroll, 1 eel dish, edamame and mochi ice cream -- perfect amount of food. You can substitute any of the nigiri for toro or salmon, as well as order a la carte add ons. The conger eel was also interesting and tasty, as was the mochi ice cream. Dont expect anything expensive like otoro here. Just a place to get solid sushi, similar to what you'd get from Sugarfish. Lunch has even better deals!

Great experience overall, the dining areas is a U shaped bar that has around 24 seats. Currently that have 4 course options you can choose or you can order a la carte. Everything is made at the bar by the chef, each item they'll tell you where it was sourced and what it was made with. When I came during the grand opening week they didn't have reservations or a wait list that you can check into so it's first come first serve until a seat is available. We were able to order a beer and some sake while we waited. Our wait took about a hour during prime dinner time since the bar was full so keep that in mind

How is this place not blowing up??? It was SO good like the sushi was so insanely fresh. It's omakase and it was just such good quality. It honestly might be better than omakase I had in Japan. Also the proportions were perfect and they give you SO much fish. NOT TO MENTION- the dessert at the end was excellent. I will be 100% coming back like I truly think it's one of the best casual omakese in the area.

When you try new things, or new restaurants that are brand new, you are essentially gambling with your time, money, and palate. Visiting Sushi Nigiriba on their opening month is like hitting the jackpot. I was thoroughly impressed. I love it when restaurants have a set omakase menu with gratuity included and no options to tip extra. Pay once and that's all. I am going to say it right now, pound for pound this is the best value omakase in all of Los Angeles. And I am reluctant to use the word value in that sentence because everything on the menu taste extreme quality. I came on a Saturday at 4pm and there was plenty of seating (being that the restaurant is new). I am not sure if it was because of the limited other guests that we got the white glove treatment, or if they always go above and beyond but the service was incredible. Greeted by everyone in the restaurants, descriptions about each piece of fish, the soy sauce, fresh wasabi, and even the rice paired with Japanese vinegar. I came for the food but ended up getting a science degree in Sushi. I loved every minute of it. It might look like "just" 9 pieces of sushi, but the pieces of fish are thick and hearty, and I had a hard time fitting the sushi into my mouth all at once. I ordered their signature menu which came with a mixture of fresh and seared sushis. Each piece of sushi was very unique. You'd have a amberjack plain, and the next one with daikon and the variance was very difference. The same with the seared sushi's. Everything was really fresh, and I must make a special comment about the rice. The rice is warm with a slight vinegar flavor to it. It's packed just right. A matter of fact, each piece of sushi has just the right amount of wasabi, shoyu, and flavor in each bite. There isn't an option to dip your sushi into soy sauce. It's made just right. For some people this may seem restrictive, but for me it was welcoming. "Just trust me" type of attitude, and after the first sushi, I am sure you will. The restaurant has the chefs in the middle with the chairs all around. Everything is professional with good lighting without being too bright. I am sure this place will do well and I am glad that I took a chance on trying a new restaurant. Great job Sushi Nigiriba!

The sushi is fresh, the space is clean and simple, and the staff provides excellent service. The red vinegar rice was delicious and it was neat watching the rice-shaping machine mold each bite. They also have an a la carte menu. I was pleasantly surprised at how filling the Signature course was and I look forward to dining here again!

Great new sushi spot. Came on a weeknight and it was mostly empty. We got to really interact with the server. The sushi was fresh and nicely prepared.

Came in for a simple sushi dinner and left feeling like this is one of the better value plays around. I ordered the Simple set (7 pieces for $28), while others went with the Chef's Table. The first thing you notice is the portioning--generous cuts of fish that still stay balanced with the rice, so it feels satisfying without being heavy. The rice is well done--lightly seasoned, slightly warm, and not overpacked. Each piece comes brushed and ready to eat. The highlight for me was the seared pieces, especially with yuzu or a touch of onion--just enough to add contrast and bring out the flavor of the fish. The Chef's Table was solid and had more variety, but I'm not big on ebi or ikura, so I appreciated being able to go à la carte and add the toro I actually wanted instead. That flexibility makes a difference. Also worth noting: they validate parking, which makes it an easy choice in the area. Bottom line: $28 for a well-executed 7-piece set with generous cuts is hard to beat--and the option to customize with à la carte makes it even better.

A great addition to the central culver city area. Good for both lunch specials and slower-paced dinner. The chefs explained each dish well, and the pacing of the omakase was also good. Fish to rice ratio was perfect. Super fresh, high quality fish, and each sushi was seasoned just the right amount. I would come back!

New sushi spot in Culver City and it's giving Sugarfish vibes. You pick a set menu first (ranging from $28-$80) before you can even think about ordering à la carte. I'm really picky about sushi quality and this place hits. Fresh, clean, the way it should be. Don't sleep on the matcha mochi either -- so good

My review is for take out only…read more Food: Hot, fresh, cooked to order (judging by the wait time), which was still reasonable, and delicious. I got a chicken bowl with teriyaki sauce on the side, and unless you upgrade to white meat for extra it comes with thigh and leg meat (dark meat). I like that though since it's juicy. The portion size is good for the price and I felt the amount of meat included was just right without needing to add extra. Also subbed out for fried rice, which is yummy as well. Ambiance: it's cute fast casual imo. You can order at a table from a kiosk and enjoy the food there or take it to go like I did. If I had more time I wouldn't mind sitting there. It was peaceful for a Friday.

It's not the best, but it's consistent and tasty. However, to not keep paying delivery fees, we decided to go in person since the restaurant is close by, and that was a mistake. It's a cute, clean restaurant in a weird location, tucked into a corner by the target. They have tablets at the tables, which is fun, and they still brought paper menus, but we ordered off the tablet. It is odd because while my husband was deciding what to order, the tablet told us to order or it would time out. So I ordered my food and sent it in and then a few seconds later, my husband put in his order. Mine came out quickly and was the quality I'd come to expect. And then...we waited. And waited. Other parties slowly trickled in (prior it had been mostly empty). When I saw they got their food long before my husband received his, I flagged one of the two waitresses and she assured us they were working on it. Like me, my husband got two sushi rolls. It took another 15 minutes (during which time soups and plates had been handily delivered to other tables) before my husband finally got his food. There was no apology, and no acknowledgment that two rolls took over a half hour. If they had forgotten the order or something had gone awry, that's fine! I understand the chaos of a busy kitchen. But to not acknowledge or check on us in a near empty restaurant is just poor service. I will stick to ordering online.

It felt like one of those slow, cozy days where time doesn't rush you…read more I met up with my college friend after what felt like forever, and somehow we both landed on the same craving--ramen. No debate, no hesitation. Just ramen. I had tried this spot at another location before and remembered liking it, so it felt like a safe, comforting choice for a long overdue catch-up. We got there at that in-between hour... not quite lunch, not quite dinner. The kind of time where the restaurant feels like it's just exhaling. It was completely empty except for us, which honestly made everything feel a little more intimate--like the space was ours for the afternoon. We sat down and immediately slipped into conversation, picking up right where we left off after graduation. Life updates, little wins, quiet struggles... the kind of conversation that only comes easy with people who've known you for years. And in between all that, our mouths were busy. The ramen came out hot, comforting, and exactly what we needed. Rich broth, satisfying noodles--one of those meals where you don't even realize how hungry you were until you take the first bite. We kept pausing mid-sentence just to take another bite, then laughing because we couldn't decide what deserved more attention: the food or the conversation. Service was really attentive without being intrusive. They somehow knew when to check in and when to let us just exist in our little bubble. The music was soft, not overpowering, so we never had to raise our voices or repeat ourselves--something I appreciate more and more these days. We stayed longer than we probably planned, but it didn't feel rushed at all. Just two old friends, warm bowls of ramen, and a space that let us slow down for a bit. Definitely one of those simple meals that turns into a really good memory.
