My mother came to visit California for the first time. When she arrived we were looking for some inexpensive things to do and see. We drove by the business and she said that she has wanted to try this all of her life. My mother is 68 years old and has always wanted to try skydiving, this was the perfect opportunity. I was a little apprehensive because I am very protective but the staff made us feel comfortable the minute we walked in. We watched a little then went to the classroom and met our instructor Doug. Very knowledgeable and friendly he made use feel even more at ease. One of the beat experiences of my life and something we will be talking about for a long long time. I recommend this to everyone. iFly hosted my daughter's birthday party last weekend and it went amazingly well! It was last minute but they were able to accommodate our party of 30 (only 15 flyers). The party room was the perfect size and had supplies we needed (cake cutter, lighter, fridge, etc). The staff was extremely friendly and the flight instructors seemed to be having the time of their lives. Their enthusiasm made my daughter's day extra special. Can't wait to go back! read more

We are on family vacation and looking for a new family experience. Well we found it! This place was great. Called and got a reservation for the same day to fly. We arrived and got all signed up and we were off and running to flight training, Next we got our flight suit and helmet, then to staging, finally time to fly. WOW! What an amazing experience and memories with the family. Great staff, great service! We bought some return trip tickets at a discount before we left. As a bonus we got to see one of the flight instructors put on a show for us. Wow what a pro! read more

Lots of fun. Small complaint in having to wait so long after checking in. A special appreciation to the staff for handling a mix up with my credit card. I had the opportunity to purchase a 2nd fly for less money the same day I was checking out. They mistakenly rang up a 4 fly instead of a 2 fly. The gentleman handling the transaction seemed to have difficulty in crediting my card for the 4 fly. I requested he write his name down with a note stating I was to be refunded the amont of $84. Several weeks later, no refund was showing on my credit card. I drove out and it was handled by 2 staff members and I received a copy of the receipt stating the amount was being refunded. Several days later, over a holiday weekend, still no credit showing. I called and spoke Christy, who checked the computer and sent me a copy of the transaction showing the credit and told me to contact her if it didn't go through. It did today. In all of my interactions with all the staff, they were accommadating, helpful and never showed signs of being frustrated. The experience is quite fun and I only gave 4 stars because of the confusion of the transaction. read more

All of the instructors are amazing. They are knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and welcoming. We went once to watch a friend then a second time to fly and both times were great experiences. Your kids will LOVE this experience, but holy-moly this is very expensive for a few minutes of thrill. In terms of bang for the buck, you are better off taking your kids to the movies or something. It's fun to watch the instructors fly in the wind tunnel in between customers, but your kids won't do anything close to that when its their turn. If you have money to burn, this is a cool thing for kids under the age of 13. Not worth the money for folks over that age. read more

DAN IS THE MAN! I bought two flights for my partner for her birthday and it was well worth the money! We were pretty nervous prior to her flight but Dan answered all of our questions and made us feel comfortable. This guy is as professional as they come. Wonderful customer service. Facility, helmets and jumpsuits were super clean. I go back to Dan. We drove down from OC for this and we will definitely be back. Dan made the experience way better than we could've imagined. He's very personable, knowledgeable, attentive and just a super nice guy. We will return to this location as it is the only one that Dan works at. Super fun! Thrilling! Poor experience trying to book a reservation for my kids through my chase reward points. Called and spoke to a representative and apparently she did not know how to make the reservation. I sent her my reservation voucher and reservation information via email but she said she could not "honor my reservation time" until she figured out how to process it. She said she would call back in a few minutes, but after no call after 20mins, I called my chase travel representative to help intervene hoping that they could help her. While the representative was on the phone, iFLY rep stated it would be cheaper and easier if I cancelled my chase reservation and pay directly to iFLY. (Free is not cheaper than their cost). After 40 mins on the phone using chase as the middle man- I eventually decided to cancel the reservation since it was too much of a hassle even though at the end, the iFLY rep figured out how to process it. The funny thing is that after the call, the iFLY representative tried to call me to confirm the reservation after I had already cancelled it thru my chase representative that cancelled it while I was waiting on the phone. I asked for the iFLY manager but apparently he was not in anymore although he was supposedly there to help her process this (not more than 2-3 mins before). Definitely a trying experience. read more

I've been one time each year since they opened, and have loved it every time! First time was my favorite because it was so different from anything I've ever done before. I don't go often enough to really get better, but the coaches are so encouraging that it's so fun and worth it every time. Feels a lot like the real thing, but you're more in control and no one is attached to you... Honestly, I prefer iFLY especially because you can do the VR option and get the view too, and do it with the whole family. Get the high flight, it's the best part. read more

My first time trying this activity. I am 70 years old and afraid of heights. My thought was that I am not getting any younger and I had been intrigued by the thought of safely experiencing the sky diving experience without involving jumping out of planes. This was by far one of the most exciting activities I have done. Loved every minute. My Instructor, Dan was so patient and gave me the impression that he could control any situation I might find myself in. His confidence in me and himself contributed to my enjoyment. It was a really fun experience for my 9 year old son and husband. My son was scared at first, but had a blast. You get 2 one minute experience. There was a lot of up-selling (cookie helmets, higher level flying, extra minute, photos, videos, virtual reality and so on) but it didn't take away from the experience. On their second flight, we did pay the upgrade to go higher. My son really liked flying higher. The instructor was good and the front desk staff friendly. We had a good overall experience! read more

Looking for some family fun, exciting and beyond expectation type of activity? IFLY Oceanside Indoor Skydiving is the place to be!! My 4 years old son had a blast. He was terrified the first 10-15 seconds, but he managed to go through with the entire experience. He even went high flying which cost $9 extra but it was worth it because he said it was so much fun and he liked it (he was scared, remember?)..It's not too much money if you can buy a 10 flights packages for 5 kids, which work out about $22-$30 each kid for 2 minutes of flying. It's definitely a once-in-a-life-time experience for them. Our son's flight instructor, Liam was AWESOME (I am sure all of the flight instructors at this establishment are!!). Could have been great but.... our session to fly kept getting interrupted by private sessions. So every 3 people they would put in a 3 minute private flight. It took 1 hour to do our 2 minutes of flying. If you have private flights at least put them in between the groups so we don't have to wait so long. We have been to 2 other locations and this has NEVER happened. Will not likely be back to this site. read more
