I've contacted Milad twice now about a couple multi-zoned mini-split units that were displaying an error code and he's been a pleasure to work with each time. The first time, I called at least a dozen different companies here on Yelp and none of them were willing to come service mini-splits, so not only was Milad actually willing to come out, but he came out within the day, diagnosed the issue, tightened the loose fittings, and refilled the freon in the unit, all at a pretty reasonable cost. The most recent time, he came out, checked the error codes, reset the systems that were erroring, and charged just a diagnostic fee for the work. Additionally, I really appreciate how easy he's been to get in touch with since I haven't been able to make it in person either time. Between texting, calls, and pictures and videos that he sends, he really offers peace of mind for the work he does! Super grateful I worked with Igloo AC & Heating to install a new state-of-the-art Daikin mini-split plus a new, dedicated electrical circuit for my master bedroom. Recently my old through-the-wall AC unit from the late 80's (!) died after decades of service (may it RIP). The recent heatwave in L.A. finally killed that unit when temperatures in Pacoima reached at least 115 F. I sent out a bunch of requests for quotes to local HVAC vendors to install a new mini-split ASAP. Milad responded within about 30 minutes and we scheduled for him to stop by the next day. That same day, I got multiple quotes from other vendors. I ultimately went with Milad because his quote was competitive and because he seemed so professional, transparent, and sincere. On the scheduled day for installation, he came by on time (a little after 8 AM) with a crew member, Abraham, who was also very professional and friendly. Together, d they installed the mini-split as well as new dedicated electrical under the crawlspace of our house, because my current electrical on that side of the house is outdated. It must've been brutal to work in that extreme heat, but they worked hard all day without complaint and I could tell that they were super attentive and careful about every aspect of the installation; for example, I noticed Milad and Abraham would measure things out multiple times to make sure everything was level and secure, and they frequently communicated with each other throughout the day. They ultimately finished around 4:30 PM, though I got the sense they were probably mostly done by 3:30 PM or so and then spent that last hour triple-checking everything, including measuring the temperature of the refrigerant and completing clean-up. They left the surrounding space at least as clean as it was when they got there. I had a great time getting to know them on a personal level too. Super nice guys. Unfortunately NOTHING was good about this experience. TLDR: Overpriced, didn't take the job seriously at all, wasn't timely, wasn't communicative, made this project very stressful for me. Mistake #1: First we discussed the price for a basic repair. Price was way too much. Mistake #2: He didn't handle any of the inspections and made me take my own time to do his job for him. I'm not an HVAC professional and can't communicate the corrections from the inspector to him. Inspector got very angry with me that he wasn't there. Inspection was FAILED twice which makes me doubt he knows what he is doing as well. I basically wasted three vacation days doing his job. Mistake #3: too slow and didn't text or communicate with me. I had to schedule all inspections, handle extra HERS tests, etc. HE DIDN'T show up for any of it. I couldn't even get all the things I needed to handle communication with the inspector through basic texting. It should have taken two days to get permits, it took over a week and several reminders. It should have taken one week to do repairs, took three failed inspections and over a month. Mistake #4: The work was done incorrectly and was even BROKEN after one day. Do you know how embarrassing it is to have an inspector walk into a broken exhaust pipe with potential carbon monoxide exposure?? Long story short: I got charged $2000 for him doing just two hours of very bad labor, complete lack of attention to the job, bad quality, bad communication and put lots of stress on me. He'll take your money, do a bad job and rush to the next guy. read more

Ultimately we didn't end up going with Milad for our HVAC issue but still had an overall good experience. He came out without charging a service fee to look at our HVAC pipe which was leaking. In November 2024 we called Milad back to service our 21 year-old HVAC. He determined it was a circuit board that needed to be replaced. But our HVAC unit was not working and by January 2025 we knew that we needed a new HVAC unit. After a lot of research on the internet, we decided to replace our HVAC with a heat pump (heat & air conditioning) to take advantage of the Federal tax credits. Milad provided us with a proposal and installation was scheduled. Milad & his crew did a great job with installing the new heat pump & new ducting in our small attic over 2 days. We called Milad back in February to install a programmable thermostat because we didn't like the one that came with new heat pump.
