Let's start with it's an IHOP. With that said, the seasonal decorations are ON POINT. We went at 3:30pm.... It was a straight walk in, sit down, and food on the table all in 15 minutes!! The food came out as ordered, HOT, and freshly made. My meal of choice; the breakfast sampler, with the eggs over medium, and all the meats. My girl got the NY Cheesecake pancakes, over medium eggs, ham and hash-browns. Beautifully put together and delicious. The facility was clean, well kept, and presentable to its finest. When all the mom and pop breakfast spots are closed, this place came in clutch. Don't hesitate to come here! It's worth the trip if pancakes are what you're looking for!! read more

The ambiance was fine. Our server was wonderful. The food was meh. We were excited about trying a strawberry cheese cake waffle. When it came out I thought there was a mistake i didn't see any strawberries or cream cheese sauce, just a pile of whipped cream in the middle. Apon further investigation, i found 5 pieces of strawberry and a minimal smear of cream cheese under the cream. Thank goodness they have strawberry syrup or there would have been no flavor over 3/4 of the waffle. My eggs were more over hard than over easy. I tried Hash browns instead of home fries. They were more hard than crispy and came out in a "cake shape" which tasted of old oil. So all in all lack luster but not uneatable. Having worked as a cook and chef i have expectations that things are at least decent. They were mediocre at best. Had the split decision breakfast that includes 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage, 2 pancakes, and thick French toast. No lines or waiting at 8 am. The food tastes good but was luke warm at best. Service was good and friendly. Plenty of parking but the sidewalks were very icy. read more

The food was ok, nothing special. However, make sure to check your receipts with your bank. Gave them my debit card and when I looked online they had charged me for our breakfast and someone else. IHOP in the 80's was amazing. Not so much anymore especially in Auburn Maine.I was there today at lunch time. Maybe 3 tables were full . Walking in it's dirty and has a wierd smell. The smell is really off putting . The country fried steak seem breaded and baked not not battered and fried . The plate was so small they had to put the meat on top of the small amount of hash browns.the pancakes were cold the butter would not melt. I ate it all . It was average . My omelet was the consistency of a sponge, the pancakes were raw in the middle and the grilled English muffin was really greasy, not butter! Very pleasantly pleased with iHop lunch at the Auburn Maine restaurant on Turner Road. I ordered the New Mexican breakfast burrito bowl and my husband selected one of the several amazing eggs benedict offerings. Very generous helpings! I know lots of people seem "uppity" about iHop but believe me, I've been fortunate to have dined in many of a variety of restaurants so giving the Auburn iHop four stars is a pleasure! By the way, the table server was wonderful, too. Instead of ordering the side offered to me as being a potato - fried or hash brown- instead, I ordered a small fruit bowl and it was perfect with fresh blueberries, pineapple chunks and melon slices! Went back today and got sticker shock. 12.49 for an omelette then 2 additional dollars for toast. Guess I though an order of eggs came with toast. We've given ihop too many chances and they've failed every time. The service always stinks, even when the place is almost empty. The food isn't great, the booths are usually sticky and almost every time we go, one of us gets dirty silverware. But the hash browns, they are disgusting. When I told our server they have no flavor and were gross she shrugged and said that's how the kitchen makes them at all the franchises. We're not going back, we'll stick with Denny's. Two stars instead of just one because I do like the different flavored syrups, but that's about it. read more

My husband and I visited this IHOP on Sunday morning. We were all excited since we haven't been to an IHOP in years. The atmosphere was fine, the employees were nice and friendly. I however was not completely happy about my food. First I will tell you what I had...coffee, chicken and waffles with a side of red potatoes with onions and green pepper hash. Coffee - a little strong and bitter, but hey, it's coffee. Red potatoes hash - onions and green pepper could have been cooked (more). The red potatoes were greasy and soggy and there may have been a few pieces of red potatoes but they weren't all red. This was very disappointing. Waffles - good, fluffy, just wish they had a little crunch and not so flimsy. Chicken - AWESOME! That was the beat part. Not sure if I will go back and try again. read more

Seating was available as soon as we walked in. Service was prompt and food arrived within a good period of time. I loved how IHOP's menu always come with sides like pancakes, toast, bagel, etc., however, the portions are a bit much for someone like me who eats just enough to fill my appetite in the morning. I ordered the spinach and mushroom omelette and added ham in the ingredients for a little saltiness and flavor. It was good. Other items we ordered were country fried steak, pancakes and waffles. The waitress was friendly and gave us some options on drinks and smaller portions of food. The price of food was adequate and not uber expensive, considering their portions are always large. I have been to this restaurant twice. The interior is gorgeous and clean. The wait staff was friendly and courteous. The food was less than desirable. Everything was Cold both times I went. The hashbrowns were gray greasy sloppy messes. I don't know what's going on with consistency of the food? I don't know how you can burn pancakes but mine were Burnt. Place is beautiful (mostly because it's brand new). We were seated rather quickly. Our waitress was rude and short with me and my wife. After we ordered, the food came out piece by piece 3 to 4 minutes apart (who does that?!) and on top of that it was cold. Literally the only 2 hot things we got were the coffee and and hot chocolate. Our total came to 45 bucks (with tip, yes we still tip even if service sucks). What a ridiculous waste of money. Went here when they first opened this location it was great but went here last Thursday, September 29 don't know what happened but this place has crash landed service was OK but the food not so much mashed potatoes were from powdered and pretty nasty and cold the broccoli was rubbery and tasteless The only other thing I ordered for the onion rings they were the best thing on the menu I think. The other half had an omelet it was edible but that's about all it can be said for it I guess. Needless to say we need to do some work and get up to the level of the other locations read more
