We waited a very long time for our food about 45 minutes our waitress was at our table once that entire time. I had to flag her down to get a refill. The food came out cold and in pieces. We got our bacon and eggs and waited another ten minutes for our pancakes. The food was cold and the order was wrong. Our waitress blamed the kitchen even though she said she put the order in wrong. My toast was inedible. If you love IHOP I suggest going to the one in Portland. read more

We have tried this place 3 times. Third time is a charm they say....well, not in this case. All 3 times the service was incredibly slow. The A/C was way too high which made for a very uncomfortable dining experience. Then there was the food... One word disappointing. The bacon was undercooked, the toast was basically warmed bread, and the presentation was extremely sloppy. We were seated quickly and that was the only thing that happened quickly. Waitress showed up about fifteen minutes later to take our drink order. Thirteen minutes later she brings us our orange juice. Took off without taking our order. We waited a few more minutes then decided to just take off and go somewhere else. Update: On the day of the recent 58 cents for a short stack promotion, I decided to give this location another chance. Customer traffic was light. After ordering the promotion, and some eggs, we waited to see what happened. The pancakes, for both of us, arrived quickly, as did my eggs. My friend's eggs, however, were not so quick. After a friendly "They'll be out in a minute.", from the waitstaff, another five minutes passed. My friend's eggs finally arrived (fifteen minutes after placing the order). This would have been another negative review, but the waitstaff deducted the cost of the eggs, without any request on our part. This is the reason for the three stars. Yet, on a day of a big promotion, one wouldn't think it would take fifteen minutes to receive an egg order at IHOP. Service (waitstaff) gets the three stars. Absolutely the worst dining experience ever. We were told it would be a 10 minute wait so after 20 minutes we asked. They had skipped is on the list. We waited 30 minutes to get half of what we ordered, and it was cold. After another 20 minutes the rest of our food arrived, dried out and cold. Our waitress could not be bothered with her tables and hung out flirting with the host at the front door. At one point someone from the kitchen had to come out and tell her that her orders were up! After being at the auburn location 3 times , in the past 2 months I can tell you we are not impressed. The employees argue in front of customers, they are late.getting your order, you have to wait to be seated while there are tables clearly open and the food is cold. do not go there read more

The food was standard for IHOP, which is pretty good. This is a fairly new location and they had a good amount of business. The only problem was that the service was really slow and while the person I was eating with ordered extra crispy bacon there was actually parts that were so questionably cooked that she wasn't sure it was safe to eat, it seemed far too raw. Other than that our waitress was polite and the building was clean and beautiful. I would recommend to anyone. read more

Well. Up and down for us. The restaurant itself was set up very weird, we were sat right away at a high top table that was hooked to two other tables like it, and there was another family at the other end which was sort of awkward. It was fairly steady business this night. Waitress was friendly but took a while to take our order and get our drinks. My boyfriends coffee cup was dirty when it came to us, and we got a new one that "just got washed" but they didn't bother to wipe the water off of it. We waited about an hour for our food, which finally came without my food which was just a waffle. She said they burnt it and another one was coming out in 2 minutes. Another 10 minutes went by and my family was about done with their food and I hadn't received my waffle. She finally brought it to me and said they didn't top it with the fruit so she did it itself. Our food was not warm. We asked to speak to the manager and he simply DID NOT CARE. Was a complete jerk to be honest. That was the worst part!! I understand they are new but the manager should care a little bit more about the feedback customers are giving him. We simply told him we wouldn't be back and he just said okay and left. Clearly they still have improving to do with their staff because our waitress was very rude. We went here on 2/26/16 for my dad's birthday. I asked her if she could split my dads check between my brother and I (not completely unheard of in a restaurant), and she literally laughed in my face and said with major attitude "no, it doesn't work like that hun" in her smoker's voice. Gross. First off, don't ever call me hun. Second, it can work like that if you figure out how to do it instead of being lazy and saying no. She had attitude the rest of our visit. She also thought it would be a good idea to yell across the restaurant to one of her other tables telling them about the BMW she just bought. Because you know, everyone needs to know that. My brother also asked if he could have a biscuit with his breakfast instead of toast. She told him no we don't have biscuits. Umm, then why is there a meal consisting of biscuits and gravy on the menu? Clearly she has no clue what is going on. This was my second visit to this location and probably my last. I visited today for breakfast, and it seems to me that the staff have "taken the hint" from previous criticisms. My experience went like this: met at the door right away, led to a seat, asked if I wanted coffee, which was was promptly brought to my table. Total: maybe 3 minutes, tops. Two or three minutes later a server or manager let me know that my waitress would be a few minutes getting to my table. 2 minutes later she arrived, apologized for the "delay" and took my order. She helped me decipher a special, and was very pleasant. My order arrived all at the same time, hot and delicious--the brioche special french toast was great, the hash browns and bacon cooked just as I like them. Total wait time from entrance to food on table was 13 minutes. So, 4 stars. Food, service and ambiance all excellent. Not fine dining, but certainly a fine breakfast. Glad to see them pulling through, since I've long been a fan of IHOP. Now, can we also get a Waffle House here in L-A? Heaven could wait. read more
