I went around 10am on a Tuesday morning, we literally waited about 15 min to be seated. There was plenty of empty tables. One person got upset and left after waiting probably 20min to be seated. Finally we get seated. Another 20 min just to finally get our food. It wasn't good at all. I'm guessing they were short staffed ‍ I don't recommend it and don't plan on coming back. There were about 6 total people on our side of the restaurant (side that had access to the restroom) (I don't think anyone was on the other side eating.)I know at our table after our food was brought to us, the waitress never came back to see how we were doing, wanted any refills, want a to go box, nothing. Another couple did seem to have something wrong with their order, but I guess blame it on the place being crowded. I went to use the bathroom and there were two sinks but one taken up by a man shaving, either homeless or if an employee, he should be doing that at home. My girlfriend got up and had to ask another waitress for a container and then had to ask her for the check. I usually leave a tip based on the service but this time I did not. If it is hard to run a restaurant with so few customers, imagine how it would be if they had a large crowd. This is one restaurant that will not get a return visit anytime driving through the area. read more

Literally no different then any other Ihop I have ever visited. Place was clean, we got sat semi quickly (and right before a rush of other post-Coachella-ers on their way back to L.A) in a large booth. Our waitress was missing teeth but was nice and somewhat quick until it came to getting the bill. Everyone seemed fine with their food and I enjoyed my potato latkes but the bacon was way too greasy. Bathrooms are tiny and could use a facelift and there's an outdoor seating area, which is unique I guess. read more

We came here on an early morning to fuel ourselves for our apple-picking quest that was to come. And we were not disappointed! I decided to try out one of the new Criss-Croissant breakfast plates and it was delicious! And the egg were prepared perfectly. So much could've gone wrong but it didn't! Our waiter was really nice. She was able to handle our order while talking to other customers and helping to bus tables. Then came the Hash Brown Chicken with Gravy and I found it was edible, and then some. *Happy Dance + Food Baby* BOH is ON IT, because there was no tedious wait - our orders were shockingly prompt and continued to bolster the 5 Star rating. The health department should be involved I went here on Sunday January 29th 2023 for breakfast with my family and was absolutely disgusted with the customer service and how unsanitary the tableware was. I ordered the 2x2x2 with scrambled eggs and coffee.My coffee was brought out first and I was sipping on it and realized there was red lipstick on the inside and outside of the cup like it hadn't been washed after its previous use. I was disgusted and immediately ran to the restroom to relieve myself after getting sick. I came back to see the server placing my plate down and bright yellow (almost orange) scrambled eggs. They were cold like they had been there for hours prior to me ordering them. I complained to the waitress expecting an apology about the used cup and the quality of my scrambled eggs at least. She did not show any concern, but acted as if it was normal to drink out of an unwashed mug and cold discolored eggs. She brought me more eggs that were undercooked and runny. The eggs probably would have been cooked better if the kitchen staff weren't playing their music loud enough for the entire restaurant to hear and speaking even louder so they could hear each other over it. My family's entire time here was ruined. The manager Oscar offered me 20% off my meal instead of taking it completely off after I told him I no longer wanted the meal. I spoke with the Oscar (the manager) again on the way out of the restaurant, who still showed no concern until I requested corporate information. The health department needs to visit this location of IHOP and shut them down. Especially if the manager at the time thought it was okay for me to be drinking out of a mug that visibly hadn't been washed. It only leaves me to wonder what other dishes and utensils hadn't been properly washed and how often this has occurred. I will never go back to an IHOP and will tell my friends and family members not to as well. read more

This was the worst ihop experience I have ever had. Maybe it's just the one in Banning. The server Tracy was so rude and tried to change her attitude towards the end of the meal probably because she realized she compromised her tip. The Grinch pancakes in the attached picture looked like garbage. Not even close to the picture on the menu. I don't think they even attempted to make them correctly. Extremely disappointing. Overall, this's place has been pretty good in the past. However, poor planning for the manager tonight? Only one server and she is answering phone, cashing out customer's orders, taking orders and Lord knows what else! I feel for her, but with about 10 loaded tables, I guess it may be a little while before we see food. We thought we would try the curbside service at iHOP this morning. The online ordering experience was really great and easy, but the estimated time for delivery to our vehicle was 18 minutes. We watched several people who arrived later get their orders before us, and finally after 30 minutes called in. Our order had been sitting there for quite a long time as everything was cold. The pulled pork in the green chili omelette was hard and crusty, and the omelette was really inedible. I decided to fill up on the fruit cup and the orange juice, but the OJ was so watered down I thought I might have COVID--it was tasteless. The only fruit that was edible in the fruit cup were the grapes, everything else was translucent and slimy. On the other hand, my husbands spinach mushroom omelette looked great, so go figure. But, as I said, everything was stone cold. So service at curbside is no better than it ever was in the restaurant in the past. We are trying to support our local restaurants, but we expect them to at least make a real effort, since our limited entertainment now revolves around these little excursions. I am really sorry we tipped $7 on a $30 order, but I remind myself the servers are hurting these days, like everyone else. read more

The Manager and staff of the Banning IHOP are wonderful people. My husband and I are handicapped so we order through doordash often. Thanksgiving day I ordered through doordash but used the wrong bank card. So doordash cancelled the order. I ordered again with the correct card and doordash cancelled that one too. So here I am with almost $300 tied up between two bank and no food. I called IHOP and they said they prepared my food and it was just waiting for pick up. I called doordash and no matter who I talked all I got was "we cannot send a dasher. There is nothing we can do." I won't go into the details of these calls but it I was frustrated and upset. I called IHOP and told them what doordash said and the manager said "I'll bring the food to you." I couldn't believe how sweet she was. She brought me my food and we had a wonderful Thanksgiving meal (side note we had already turkeyed out earlier in the week) LOL. The staff and especially the manager are such great people. And even though the food sat there for quite some time re-heated it was still very good. THANK YOU IHOP for rescuing my Thanksgiving. read more

Haven't been to an IHOP in years. Not for any particular reason, I just haven't gone. I had Jury Duty in Banning so was looking for something close. I Googled food and IHOP came up so I went. I was stunned at the prices. I ordered a cup of soup and a house salad since my budget and cash didn't afford me a decent breakfast or hamburger. Per ad I had seen IHOP - 10% discount (55+) and a menu for people aged 55 and over at participating locations There was no menu for over 55 and no discount. A BOWL of soup appeared about 10 min later (I had ordered a cup) and she said she would bring the salad. I finished the soup and still no salad. When she walked by again I told her skip the salad, I needed to go. $9.85 total for what was suppose to be a cup of soup and hot tea. So long IHOP, I won't be back. Had to give it one star to be able to give it to my review. Stopped to eat yesterday at almost 1:30 in the afternoon hardly anybody there. Waitress asked me if I wanted anything to drink I asked for coffee. She comes back with coffee and water. I go to stir an ice cube in the coffee to cool it down and I was met with resistance. So I checked to see what it was and it was garbage in the bottom of my coffee cup. Now those coffee cups are small enough if you even pick it up you're gonna know there's something in it. So I'm sure she did it on purpose. She just had that attitude. I told her that was in my coffee and is not acceptable. She says sorry about that. She still have the cahones to charge me $22.00 for crapes and horrible bacon and another cup of coffee which I did not drink. My husband and I stopped for breakfast on Sunday 2/17/19 around 10am and almost turned around because it was packed with people waiting to be seated. We asked the hostess how long it was going to take to serve 2 people and she said 15 min. We really didn't think that would be possible but since we didn't know the area we didn't want to keep searching around for another breakfast place so we stayed and waited. True to her estimated time, we were seated within 15 minutes and got a waitress serving us right away and keeping up with our coffee refills. I ordered the German Crepes with eggs and my husband the chicken fried steak. They were the best. The food was great and service was superb! Don't the line fool you.
