Been here twice already, and it's pretty much what you'd expect from an IHOP: decent American diner with good breakdmfast options at reasonable prices. I always order the sirloin tips combo that comes with hashbrowns, two eggs (I prefer sunny side-up) + extra hashbrowns (since 1 portion is not sufficient). Also asked for A1 sauce at no additional cost. In my 2 visits (1 with my wife and another by myself), customer service of 2 different male servers is friendly - good Southern hospitality. Food was also served fast. We also got free Halloween candy from a staff, which lightened up our mood. Ambiance is nothing special; there's a good amount of space that could accommodate a busy crowd but it's not really a place where'd you'd like to stay for long; in other words: a typical American diner. Compared to any Waffle House location, IHOP looks generally cleaner (based on multiple visits from multiple locations, including this.) It's also located in the same shopping area as the best Barnes & Noble location I've been to, so this is an ideal spot for me. Took the grandkids for brunch, we were seated promptly. One grandchild ordered the breakfast with bacon and eggs and the little one got the silver dollar pancakes. I ordered the senior fish meal. My grandson had circled his order on the menu and told the waitress everything he wanted as well as showed her on the menu. Despite what he told her (he wanted fries), she brought him applesauce and she was reluctant to admit it was incorrect even though I showed her his menu again. so I said I'd just gave him some of my own fries. After I said that she said she'd bring fries but I was irritated enough I said no and gave him mine. (Btw he never ate the applesauce). The fish was crispy but pretty greasy and I was able to only eat 1 filet. Overall, the restaurant is clean and staff is friendly. I'm very disappointed the server did not offer to fix my grandsons plate as soon as I told her it was incorrect. He is only 5 and was so proud to tell her his order and showed her what he circled. She should have done him right immediately because it was obviously her mistake. If you are a pancake lover, I say it's probably a good spot to go. I still tipped well even though I was not happy working the service. Maybe we will give it another try, but they need to do better with service when told an order is wrong. read more

We stopped here for breakfast after our early morning gym session. So we came in hungry lol We were seated right away. Not too busy. Our server was very friendly. She brought us coffee while we decided what to order. For breakfast we had the avocado toast and added two poached eggs and a side of protein power pancakes and a ham and bacon omelette. My avocado toast was amazing. Poached eggs cooked to perfection. Firm outside runny inside. Crispy bacon. I'll definitely be having that again! The omelette was yummy as well. I came to this IHOP location this morning for breakfast and it did not disappoint! The waitress was kind and took our order promptly and the food came out pretty fast. I ordered the big breakfast burrito and it was absolutely delicious. Too big for me to finish in one go but I did really enjoy it and I especially loved the salsa it came with. It should definitely come with 2 cups of salsa since the two burrito halves were both pretty large. I'll definitely be returning to this location soon. read more

I eat at IHOP all over the USA when I travel--this one was acceptable but below average on quality and service. They may have a management problem here--the waitress did not seem happy which is unusual for IHOP and the egg white omelet was acceptable but not the best one I have had at an IHOP. The pancakes again acceptable but not the best tasting--the 3rd one under the pile looked like someone took a bite out of it. I would probably not return to this IHOP if in the area--and IHOP is one of my favorite places for breakfast on the road--I get the same things all the time--Egg White Veggie Omelet and Pancakes. We were seated quickly despite the Sunday after church rush! Just a ten minute wait. I was expecting twenty or more, so that was good! We were there for the Sonic promotion. My friend ordered the chicken sandwich and I got the eggs Benedict. Both were really good! I liked the eggs on the Benedict. Hash browns were okay, onion rings were fine. Decent showing from a national chain. I met with a group for brunch and games on a random rainy January Tuesday in their meeting space. The hostess seated us, ordered drinks all around, and let us know how she was going to order for the group. Drinks came out, and food was ordered while we chatted. The food came in a very timely manner for 12 plates, so no one was waiting while their food congealed. The group ordered everything from pot roast to chocolate pancakes and all manner of meals in between, and everyone was pleased. Mercedes kept us supplied with all the things we needed, quickly brought our individual checks, and we were allowed to stay and play board games for an hour or two. I definitely feel like the quality of IHOP has declined over the past several years. I feel like their food used to be made from scratch, but now it seems like they are utilizing a lot of frozen cooked to order items. It's not bad, and I still go there on occasion, but I think places like waffle House are better if you want a freshly cooked homemade style meal. read more

5 stars for super friendly service that was also much quicker than expected. Our server carried their self like a store manager (sorry I've forgotten his name). He just came across so professional, and seemed like he wanted to make sure his customers were happy. If he's not a manager, he really should be somewhere. Service was pretty fast considering the parking lot was full on a Sunday morning. The food: I tried the new breakfast crepes. It was "just ok" in my book. I don't think they prepared it wrong, it just wasn't my thing. The crepe has hash browns in it - they were kind of soft, not crispy. I guess I thought hash browns should always be prepared crispy. My husband had the chicken and waffles with a side of bacon and he seemed to enjoy his meal pretty well. On a side note: I haven't been to an IHOP in a while - the one thing I was fairly surprised about was that they no longer use "real bacon" (it's some type of manufactured bacon product) which kind of takes away from the crunchy texture that you enjoy. The taste of it was fine it just wasn't crunchy and left you wondering what all was in it too. Some things you just don't want shortcuts on and I wish IHOP would go back to the real deal. read more

We stopped frequenting this location due to the fact that they cram everyone into one section of the restaurant like cattle. It's an IHop, so you can't get to excited to begin with. You get seated quickly, then wait for waiter, they show up with no enthusiasm like I'm here for a paycheck. Waiter brought food, never came back to check on things, if a wanted a refill. They were a little more attentive to the party of 4 instead of a party of 1 eating off the 55+ menu. I've eaten here 3x with the food being pretty good each time, the service was very poor twice and once very good. The one good was a new hire Latino fella and he actually tried to do his job. My girlfriend and I just went to this location and were the one people in the dining area and sat for over 15 min completely ignored. There was an older gentleman there when we got there but left 2 min into us being there and the waiter went to his table like 3 different times to clean up and not once did he even acknowledge us sitting there so we walked out. Very friendly and helpful staff. Anna was excellent. My first cup of coffee was a bit old but they made a new pot. They are running the unlimited pancake special as part of the Happy Hour menu (hard to pass up). Everyone was wearing masks, except the cook who has his under his chin. Very clean and maintained restaurant. Even though the place was packed, they had a nice waiting area with plenty of space to fit us inside. The kiddos love it here. They enjoy the pancakes and waffles. One orders the chicken with waffles then covers with strawberry syrup but the barbecue he didn't like. Avocado big plus! She said "it's good but it needs onions as it gives the eggs a good blend". I really wish they could make vegan pancakes! I got hashbrowns and potato cakes. Done with carbs for a week! Coffee is decent and you can always refill a cup. The parking, I get lucky but packed on weekends. So you may have to park in farther away parking spaces. Waitress was very nice and the place is upscale for an IHOP. I was meeting with a book club in a private room. The tables were arranged in a circle and it was intimate. They don't have very much gluten free for dinner so I had an ice cream Sundae. It was excellent and worth it. I'm adding on as we met for the second time for book club. I checked out the allergy information online before arriving. I had Tilapia and it came with a piece of Texas toast on top when I specially said no and discussed it. The Tilapia was very good (very small piece) and had a good flavor. It came with mashed potatoes and string beans and salad. They did not deliver the salad and I asked for it at the end of my meal. They were out of the salad dressing I wanted. Vinegar and oil was not a usual thing. I had it with cooking oil and lemon. As you know, if you follow my reviews, I love a good solid breakfast. It is just my favorite type of meal and food, pure comfort. Eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, waffles, juice, coffee...man, I'm hungry just typing this up! There are a few standbys you always go with when wanting breakfast, and IHOP is one of those that pop into most people's minds. This location on Kildaire Farm Rd. in Cary is good. I think they keep it pretty clean, and it is noticably so compared to others I've encountered. Maybe because it is a newer one, not sure, but it's a nice place. Parking may be a bit challenging on breakfast rush time, but hey, that is about anywhere for breakfast. The two things that I like here are their huge array of omelettes to choice from/enjoy and the pancakes, of course! Today's fare included a turkey bacon omelette with Swiss cheese and a side of pancakes. Both, just plain delicious. Not a scrap was left. Service has been good here, attentive and with a smile. The wait has not been long, even with today's visit on a Saturday mid morning. They do a good job of taking care of the customer. The clean environment and the service, along with good eats, sets this one apart as a 4 star destination instead of a A-OK 3 star one. Thumbs up! read more
