Wow. What a great experience my wife and I had at this location. From the food to the service we got from our waitress Hannah was far beyond what we expected at this kind of restaurant. Our food came out hot. Our drinks were always full and the special attention to detail on my special order was fantastic. She definitely went above and beyond. This afternoon I went to this IHOP. When we came in, a staff worker complimented my outfit and I really appreciated it (our waitress was very nice). They sat us down at a table and asked us if we wanted any drinks. I ordered a Coca-cola. They came in a reasonable amount of time. Now for the food. I order buttermilk pancakes and French toast. The pancakes were delicious and the French toast was good. The reason I rated this establishment 4 stars is because, my silverware was dirty. Our waitress was very sorry about this. I've been going here since 2010 off and on when in the area, but regularly enough to notice the drastic decline in service, quality, and the overall experience. I had mold on the strawberries in my refresher beverage, and boogers on the napkins we received. The place appeared to be staffed, but the wait was lengthy and no one wanted to run the food. It wasn't busy when we walked in, and there weren't many booths filled. I watched as the food sat cold in the window for at minimum 10min. There were several booths waiting as I watched 5-8 people idly walking around. When our food arrived, I appreciate she made sure our kids got their food first and gave us ours as it was hot and ready. It was delivered a la carte style by now. Some of the waiters/waitresses were avoiding people, bickering (tough day for the team I guess), and just pacing. Food: my hashbrowns were burned. While I didn't order them, I got lucky with the kids pancake with the sprinkles cooked into it. I'm typically understanding, but this is likely my last visit here for good until they upgrade in service, quality, and experience. read more

I had fun at the I-Hop. I took my family for brunch 12ish, and the wait was under 25 minutes. Then, we were seated as the atmosphere is different from the past times coming to this IHOP. It felt like a new management took over, and the vibe felt like a lounge with the great R&B hits playing from the sound system. Of course, i brought Falcons fans with me, so my waiter was a 49ers fan... which made my day better ... my bitter Falcons fam thought they would give him a hard time, but he got our food in a short time, and the skills were on point. We traveled from another Ihop in our own county that was not ready to seat guests to visit this Ihop in Rockdale. The parking lot was packed so we expected a long wait, but we were seated very quickly. Our server was very friendly and our food arrived quickly. We even got a visit from the manager as he made his way around the room. We informed him what a great experience we were having and the stark contrast to the other Ihop we visited earlier. It was a good choice as Nick was our awesome server and put up with our decompression from driving antics. We ordered semi quickly and everything came out fresh and tasty. I've started coming back to this location after being scared away for years because of the former management, but thankfully they completely changed things around. The manager Chalice has been excellent. One day He was cooking in the back by himself and he still found time to come out and check on all of the customers. It was a pretty big portion and the salsa added a nice contrast. Though I did find the steak super salty. (And I love salt!) Pulled up to the location at 4:20am on 12/16/24 to place a to go order. As I was getting out my car I saw the cook leaning against the counter BEFORE I walked into the establishment. However when he saw me walking past the windows he scrambled away from the window to be out of sight. Upon walking in there's a sign on the front door stating they're closed from 12am-1am for "maintenance/cleaning", I should've turned around then because it was a red flag that a 24hr restaurant is closed for an hour to do something that should be done all day throughout the shifts. I stood in the lobby for about 5 mins never being acknowledge by the cook or the sorry excuse you had on the shift tonight as a waitress. Actually never seen the waitress before I walked out the door. I waited long enough to be pissed off and walked back out never placing an order. As I'm walking out to leave the cook finally says there's somebody up front but it's too late now because I don't want anything from the location. If you don't want to work overnight find another job. Don't hide out in the back to where you can't see the customer when they walk in and the customer can't see you. read more

As I continued watching him I noticed that he was scraping the window with a spatula. I informed my server that it's disgusting to see that.
