Let me start by saying IHOP should not advertise products that they don't have. There are several items on the menu that advertise poblano peppers in them. They are using regular green bell peppers as a substitute. I don't know if they had run out or if IHOP just doesn't know there's a difference between a poblano and a bell pepper. That being said the melt I had with poblano's and onions was tasty only there were no poblano's in it. And that's a big deal. The one issue with the melt is that the peppers and onions are put into the eggs raw. For heaven sake's cook them first. That's a basic cooking skill that any cook should know. DO NOT COME HERE! The staff is disorganized, kitchen a mess, and the food is terrible. I stayed at the Courtyard hotel right next to this iHop, and I ordered scrambled eggs, toast, two hash browns, 2 sausages and a lemonade. I made the order at 9:10am through their website and it said it'd be done by 9:45am. I walk over and get there exactly on time only to be greeted with a packed lobby and about 6 DoorDash, Waitr, UberEats, etc. people trying to pick up food. On the counter there were 5 partially complete curbside pickup orders and no one was at the front desk. I sat down and waited an hour for my food, and while I waited I saw the staff not communicating and calling to sit tables that have already been seated, erasing names of people who haven't been seated because they forgot they were outside, not calling out names for to-go orders because they were "too complicated", not speaking loudly enough to people waiting, getting one Doordasher's order completely wrong so he had to come back in the rain and lightening to get the correct order, forgetting drinks, etc. Basically it was like an episode of Kitchen Nightmares, but instead of Gordon Ramsey bringing customers in and keeping the place afloat, it's the iHop brand. Another outrageous thing is that one of the Doordashers actually works at this iHop and went in on his day off to help them while he waited for his order. That man was the best and only good part of this experience and deserves a raise and/or promotion. Now, when I finally did get my food I immediately knew that they forgot my drink but I was so fed up that I just ran back to my room. When I opened my food all the actual food items were there but they were cold despite coming straight from the kitchen, had pancake syrup but no butter even though I have no pancakes and requested for butter, and had no utensils. I ended up having to eat it cold since there is no microwave in my hotel, and ate everything with my hands since I didn't have anything to eat with. My husband & I enjoyed our late night breakfast at this particular I Hop. We arrived around 11pm the dining area was clean and quiet. Our server Jess was great very courteous and attentive. We ordered the chicken fajita omelet, orange juice, & coffee. Everything was delicious- hot & fresh. We have visited many I Hop's around the country but this one is by far the best overall experience. We will definitely visit again. read more

Horrible experience on Veterans Day!! We was seated by a waitress name Lori. She took our order and brought out our food in a timely manner but it went downhill from there. Once she gave us our food I asked for condiments and she never brought them, I had to retrieve some from another table. She never came back to the table to ask if we needed anything. Food was cold service was very slow.Then when we got our food reordered they brought it out one by one.Some of it was burned and they forgot a lot of what we ordered. Hadn't eaten at an IHOP in quite a while and my partner wanted pancakes so we were looking forward to it. Bad decision for this location. Poor food, horrible service, and insulted at the offered military discount during checkout--and we weren't alone. The waitress was in a hurry to take our order. She asked three times first as she handed us the menus and then literally two minutes later, then literally 10 minutes after that. When we did order and get our food it took well over 25 minutes for eggs and pancakes--the place was not even half full at about 930 on a Monday morning. When we did get our order, half of it was missing--my entree. My plate of eggs, sausage and hash browns came 5 minutes after my partner's and the plate was if it had been dipped in grease. Perhaps they dropped it, remade it and used the same plate the stuff had slid off of. The specialty pancakes were nothing like advertised and we even ordered a substitute because they said they were out of one we had originally chosen. Our waitress never checked on us again as I had run out of water and put it on the end of the table for her to refill. Oh yes she passed by our table several times and ignored it in plain sight. Finally she brought the bill and had to wait an extended time for go boxes. Other wait staff seemed to do ok with the exception of one other apparently with an attitude as well because another older veteran wearing a hat across from us had to call down another waitress to have his bill corrected because she did not have his discount applied (that he asked for) and did not come back to check on them. I specifically heard him say he was giving the tip to the girl that helped him with the new ticket. We did not wait for our waitress to return after she presented the ticket and went to the register. When I presented my tab to the cashier she questioned the validity of my ID and asked was I "really a veteran?" It was a government issued VA picture document which reads "Service Connected". I use it everywhere discounts are offered and have never had that happen before. I might not look like a vet because my hair is not Navy regulation anymore but I damn sure have the scares to prove it and I won't be entertaining imbeciles at this place again. Can I give a ZERO? Tried calling in an order about 1030 and no answer. I go anyways. When I walked up I was approached by a homeless guy needing a shirt. As I go to see if my gym bag was in the car I notice the manager walking up shaking her head no. No problem at all, I understand it's a business. What I don't understand was her being in chill mode with not a worry at all considering there was at least 20 people waiting. I decide to leave and on my way out she said a to-go order won't take long that those were large groups. She did get me a menu and was polite. I never saw her again or any manager up front which is odd considering they were telling people there was a 35 min wait. After 30 min of waiting for JUST pancakes I find the girl who took my order. She said she forgot and it was probably sitting under the heating lamp and it was. So, I guess there was no expediter either. No one seemed to be in a hurry. I probably saw 10 tables/families come in, get told 35 min and leave. Corporate needs to step in read more

I have been here several times now and on occasion have found it closed.....even though it's 24/7. The service is adequate at best.......the food is ok, especially at 2/3 in the morning. But I've had a few times now where they're out of things like fries and Ingredients for omelettes and certain fruits for their pancakes.....it's still kinda new so it's hit and miss..... read more

It took us forever to get our food. Our waitress' hair was greasy like she needed a shower, and the food wasn't anything special.

My husband and I left yesterday because we were not acknowledged. I understand that people get busy and things can be missed, but they were not busy at all. Even if we were accidentally missed, there were other servers available to say hello and even get down a drink order. This is the 3rd time this has happened and we will never be back. Only because I have to give a star. The "manager" on duty also our server. He spent 15 minutes talking to his friend at the table behind us where he discussed employee specific relations, cursing, and never acknowledging us or our wait for food. He FINALLY went to check on our food and brought it right out. We told him our daughter's silver 5 pancakes were exceptionally small (the size of a quarter) and he said, "Well do you know how big a silver dollar is?" Like we were complete idiots. Called the Restaurant at 11:35 am and asked if I was speaking with the manager and she replied yes. I asked if she knew anything in regards to the Gulfport store and with such a nasty tone she says "I'm not affiliated with the Gulfport store". My question to her was okay so what's with the nasty delivery and tone of voice? She would never give her name and uses her Assistant Manager as an alibi stating that she did not deliver in a nasty way. At this point I'm pissed because there was no need for you as A RESTAURANT MANAGER to be so disgustingly rude! In your profession customer service should be EVERYTHING! I do not care how busy you are and/or how short staffed you may be! There is no excuse or pardon from giving your all to your customers! Best service in a long time! I've been to this IHOP many times because they have great pancakes. Today was different! The food is the same but our waiter, Allen, was outstanding. He was thoughtful and was able to get our order correct and quickly. He was very polite and showed a genuine attitude for making sure we were satisfied. When I dropped my napkin he brought me a new one. I didn't know he even saw me drop it! It's CRAZY; who gets really good service anymore. Love the food, and this is the best customer service I have ever had at a restaurant. The waitresses and waiters are so courteous they belong in a family TV movie......you know the one where God sends an angel to help a tired traveler, and the angel takes a job at....IHOP in Diberville! The "2 by 2 by 2" is a favorite breakfast dish. It's scrambled eggs, meat and pancakes, and if you can't find something there to like, you're out of luck. The entire restaurant has a musty odor to it. The food was not bad but the smell of the place makes it hard to enjoy.

So this was our second visit in a couple of weeks. Last week our food took a bit longer than you'd expect from an IHOP, but nothing crazy. Our waitress was super friendly and the food was good. Tonight we stopped by for dinner. We got there around 6:30. Two other couples came in at the same time. There was a large group already seated and, I thought, eating. A mother with three small kids came in after us. There were four employees periodically on the floor that I counted. Our server (same girl as our first visit), a male server, the hostess, and a woman dressed in black who randomly came and went from the kitchen. We placed our order shortly after being seated and then waited for 40 minutes before leaving five dollars for my husband's iced tea and walking out. Just before leaving I spoke with two of the ladies who had come in when we did (they were seated in the booth behind ours), asking if they were expecting to eat tonight too. At that point all employees of IHOP were in the kitchen. We waited another minute or so then got up and left. As we drove though the parking lot we kept looking inside - not a single employee came out of he kitchen that whole time. I'm not sure what's going on, but we didn't order anything crazy. A French Toast meal and a Belgian Waffle meal. Nothing elaborate. I never would have thought to check the rating on here for an IHOP, and I certainly wouldn't have been deterred by their previous reviews because...they are an IHOP. Pretty standard food quality and service across the board. But this is ridiculous. The positive was our waitress. She was so sweet (almost annoyingly so) both times, and this time she did stop by to check on us twice before disappearing into the black hole that was the kitchen. read more

The hostess skipped over us while we were waiting to be seated - for nearly 30 minutes with empty booths waiting. When we finally got seated and placed our order, the food arrived an hour later- stone cold. My wife and I stopped in for breakfast, the first thing I noticed when I walked in was the smell, it smelled like a combination of pee and dirty mop water!! I thought maybe it was just something near the entrance so we were seated. I wish there was something less than 1 star. I need like a negative 4. The last few times we've gone into this place, we've had a horrible experience between bad servers, bad food, wrong orders and wrong drinks and waiting WAY TOO LONG for food. But tonight it was late and we actually normally like IHOP and it's the only one close to us so we decided that we would go back in and try it again with hopes that things have changed. NOPE!! My food came out cold and while it wasn't our servers fault and she was very sweet, she was SUPER busy in a dead restaurant. The whole place had at most 20 tables and about 4-5 servers. Seems our server had most of the tables. The hostess was running around helping our server and the manager sat at the counter doing nothing! Not checking on food or anything. 30-40 mins before our breakfast (eggs, bacon, hash browns) came out. 3 others that came in right around the same time had to wait just as long for their food. I was observing everything. This is just ridiculous. I tipped my server VERY generously bc I saw her work like crazy and keep her cool. The management really needs to actually MANAGE the dang place. They've seem to have done a great job running that restaurant into the ground. It's not my job to tell them to do their jobs or how but someone needs to! ITS HORRIBLE! read more
